I don't know the full story, but I was genuinely surprised because this was one of the cleanest and most professional Asian massage establishments I've ever been to--and trust me, I'm a massage queen! So imagine my excitement when I happened to come across them again on Yelp and discovered that they had REOPENED! I immediately made an appointment, and I'm so happy I did. I just had a 90-minute massage with a light facial, both with Yumi, and she was AMAZING! She is officially my new go-to therapist. She was attentive, professional, and the massage was exactly what I needed. I walked out feeling completely relaxed. They've also made some renovations since I was last there. The front area, which used to have massage chairs, now has more of a hair-salon-style setup. They also offer scalp massage therapy, which I am VERY excited to try on my next visit! If you're looking for an amazing massage in a clean, comfortable, and professional environment, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I'm just so happy they're back! ‍ And Yumi... I'll definitely be seeing you again!

What I wasn't expecting, and what has become so much more valuable to me, was Erin's vast knowledge not only in therapeutic sports massage but her dedication to learning about all different scenarios and how to holistically treat the person. Most helpful and impressive to me is Erin's certification in mastectomy massage and therapy. I had a complete mastectomy with several rounds of radiation on my left side. The area has been swollen and rippled since my last round (in early December) and my plastic surgeon wanted me to break down the swollen and scared tissue before my next corrective surgery. After one singular session with Erin my surgeon was blow away at how much better it looked and was confident I would be ready for this next surgery with great results. The massage itself was definitely on the rougher side because she was working through a lot of tight knots, but it was exactly what my back needed. You could tell she really knew what she was doing and focused on the problem areas instead of just going through the motions. By the time I left, my back felt significantly better--honestly better than I expected going in. If you're dealing with muscle tightness or a stubborn knot and want someone who will actually work it out, I'd definitely recommend R & R Wellness Studio.

My therapist had a bit of breakfast breath, which was a little off-putting, but I was able to get past it once the treatment started. I opted for the one hour foot massage, which starts with a warm foot bath followed by some face and head rubbing before focusing on the feet. The massage itself was nice and dialed in just right, meaning not too hard or too soft. That's sheaths nice. The litmus test was that I felt truly relaxed afterward, which is exactly what you want. The price is reasonable even after adding a good tip. If you want a pleasant massage at a fair price then it is worth stopping by.

Lots of mixed reviews here, but it looks like they redid the place sometime around July. Perhaps…read morenew ownership has made the place more professional and reputable than it was before. I've been to many massage venues all over the Bay Area. Chains like Massage Envy ( never been great ) and many reflexology / Chinese foot spas. I'm pretty picky these days, but I am fairly clear with what I want. About a week ago, I called in for an appointment for a 2 hour body massage. I asked if they had a female therapist who could perform a very hard massage, and they assured me they did. I also asked in advance if paying by card was okay, and they said they prefer cash and a percentage is added if a credit card is used. A bit annoying, but as someone who is currently looking for card processing for their own business, I get it. The card companies absolutely kill you with transaction fees, and it's not the businesses fault. I'd recommend they build the processing fee into their pricing and advertise a cash discount, much as companies do with free shipping, where the shipping is actually built into the total cost. Once I arrived I was warmly greeted by the very well-dressed staff at the front door. The entrance is clean, professional, and inviting. They showed me to the room after checking in, and it was the nicest one I've been in yet. Most rooms are all white with an old chair in the corner with an almost hospital like neutrality. In a direct contrast, this room had coordinated colors, a very nice massage table, and a chair covered in fresh towels so you could feel comfortable sitting down as you undressed. The linens on the table smelled fresh and the table was very comfortable. The therapist came in ( who's name I unfortunately forgot ) and asked if I wanted medium or hard, to which I replied very hard. Overall I'd give her massage a 4.5/5, but set a 5 for the review as the venue was so professional, clean and well designed. The strength was there, very very hard as I like, just not the absolute best I've had. It's hard to quantify why, but I'm very excited to try this place again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. It is confusing to me why the older reviews are so negative, but again, it seems as though an overall makeover and management change has struck new life into what was apparently not a great experience before. September Day Spa will without dount have my business again, and I look forward to another great experience with their professional and perky staff.

I'm not sure what her name was but she was very unfriendly and did not offer great customer service. At the time of the appointment it must've been the same lady I spoke with on the phone as she was also very rude. Onto the massage, the ambience was very nice and clean but the massage therapist were lackluster. They didn't check in on the pressure of the massage and also didn't remain consistent with the pressure throughout. Also they used their elbows when I booked a relaxation massage and this was not very "relaxing". I gave it a few days to think on the quality of massage but I ended up canceling my membership. I'd go somewhere else for a relaxing massage experience.

I had a very tight shoulder and was feeling the after effects of some yard work I had performed earlier in the week. My lower back was hurting and my leg muscles seemed tighter than normal. I was escorted to a private studio at which point Lee took time to get information as to my condition and reason for being there. She explained her approach and I was then treated to a great massage. Lee does not do a deep muscle massage but the amount of pressure she applies seemed perfect to relax those muscles that were tighter than normal. I deserve this…read more Sorry, had to start with that affirmation because these past 2 massages with Cindy (a whole year apart) have felt so luxurious, I couldn't believe I get to have them. Does this make sense? Like, don't only rich people come out and get these massages? Haha. This review is for all my broke folks who take themselves to the local foot spa that can be hit and miss, in between work hours and picking up kids, and sometimes get the relief they're looking for and sometimes not. This is for my people who know they deserve so much more-- like massages from Cindy. I was referred to her by a friend who lives in Gilroy. I live in San Jose (part of the reason why I don't make it down here as Morgan Hill is a bit of a drive). But this 2nd massage completely convinced me I am missing out on life if I'm not here on a more regular basis (even every 3 months rather than twice a year, lol). So I get the 80 min deep tissue Swedish massage with Cindy. Seeing her this 2nd time, she pulled out her notes and recalled my neck and back pain from a car accident, checked in with how I'm feeling, talked with me through her approach for the day where she would focus on some areas fora good time while making sure to provide full body care. She asked if there was anything else she could do to help me feel at ease and I replied, "your magic is already magic." Her massage table was gently heated beneath the sheets. She offered to increase the heat if I liked, which I agreed to. Helped so much with relaxing my muscles. Her technique is superb. She remembered that while I came in for "deep tissue" massage, I prefer light to medium pressure. Her hands can read where the aches and knots are, and I even become aware of them only at the moment she touches them! Warm. Velvet. Gentle. Firm. Forgiving. Home. That's what her massages feel like. I definitely deserve this. The vibe: thoughtfully themed with butterflies, which personally feels like I'm surrounded by my ancestors. The "tree of life" framed on the wall helps root me. The ambient music she plays calms my nervous system. I wanted to hide this as a secret, but I want the best for her because she always gives me her best. I really appreciate her.
