I have had few massages over the years but was feeling out of sorts so I decided to find a massage therapist in the area. I had a very tight shoulder and was feeling the after effects of some yard work I had performed earlier in the week. My lower back was hurting and my leg muscles seemed tighter than normal. I found Lee on Yelp and read the glowing reviews from other clients. I called and was fortunate to have her work me into her schedule on short notice. I met Lee and found her easy going personality made me comfortable and relaxed. I was escorted to a private studio at which point Lee took time to get information as to my condition and reason for being there. She explained her approach and I was then treated to a great massage. Lee does not do a deep muscle massage but the amount of pressure she applies seemed perfect to relax those muscles that were tighter than normal. If you're searching for a deep tissue treatment that leaves you sore/bruised the next day, she's not your gal. I'm so glad I called Lee and she was able to fit me in the following morning! (This AM) To give a background I have been working out 1-2x a day since beginning of Jan. It all started with the #75hard challenge and it's helped turn my health around again. I do a lot of body movement/weights/hiit cardio and yoga. I should probably do more yoga. I stand all day and non stop go go go. So I was speaking to a friend who is a personal trainer about some pain I've been having off and on for a couple of months. She said I need to start getting regular massages to work the tightness out. This issue I've been experiencing is a pain that starts between my shoulder blades and radiates up the right side of my neck into my forehead area. Back in April when I was coaching my youngest boys baseball team (MH Pony baseball), it put me out of commission and I had to cancel a practice & was bed ridden for a couple days. I even had to stop working out for about 2 weeks and slowly get back into it. So I've been doing great and then this last week it started flaring up again. Thankfully yesterday when I called after searching here on Yelp, Lee was able to fit me in this morning 10am. Which worked great for me to get my morning workout done and then head her way. I drove from S San Jose to MH- because frankly I love Mh and we plan on heading that direction in the next year or so when we buy and I wanted to support a small local woman owned and operated business. We discussed my background and any habits I may have that could lead to the particular pain and what I do for hobbies and on the regular basis to help Lee understand how to help me. It helped me become more aware of the little things I may be doing to add to the neck area pain I've been experiencing, without even realizing it before. So I really did love that aspect. She worked it nicely and it felt wonderful! The pressure was just right and I feel amazing. We even discussed other stretching and foam rollers etc, and I purchased a foam roller from her there on the spot so I can get back into that on the regular. Overall, I absolutely loved this experience and I will be going back regularly. I highly recommend Lee. She is kind, soft spoke, gentle but can give a great deep tissue and she truly cares. I felt so comfortable and at ease with Lee. Once my boys start school again I'll start planning when I can come see Lee and get some me time again. I found Lee over a year ago on my previous massage therapist FB page. I was devastated when Eileen retired and couldn't imagine I'd find anyone to equal her or be better. Covid hit and I was diagnosed with RA and was in so much pain and remembered Eileen's post (previous massage therapist) and reached out to Lee. Our first meeting, she listened to all had to say and was so intuitive with the pain I described. Lee did therapeutic massage, used hot stones and acupressure. I went in today for a "Deep tissue " massage and it exceeded every expectation I had going in there. Quite frankly I didn't know what to expect.
