I had a very good experience here! They don't do very fancy styles or looks that are too technical but for a regular manicure, they are solid. Also the place is so clean & bright which is nice. I had to remove dip powder that I already had on my nails and they took extra time to soak and file everything so they wouldn't damage my nails. Even putting hot towels on my hands to help loosen it. They filed my nails perfectly and carefully applied the dip powder making sure every corner was perfect. They also apply it in a way that doesn't bulk up near your cuticle... so as it grows out, your nails don't get caught in your hair. (You dip powder girls know what I'm talking about) I did spend 2 hours there but it was really relaxing and they give a nice mini back massage and hand massage. They also have tvs so it's good downtime to relax. They gave me a complimentary lavender hand lotion when I left, which was a very nice surprise. Very happy with this place! Went on the weekend before the Christmas holiday and although it was crowded, they seemed to do well with crowd control. They had a great selection of colors for both regular nail polish and and gel polish. Nail techs were super nice and didn't seem impatient with anyone with it being slightly hectic. Everything was clean and new sterile tools were used with every new person. Only reason this gets 4 stars is because they were a little on the pricey side. Some gel nail polishes were an extra few dollars but it wasn't clear why. I'll definitely go back though. read more

Okay, I never thought this will happen to me after leaving happy the first time but they F*** my nails, they even hurt, the girl gutted me few times while doing my nails, I even pull out my finger once and now a day later looking at my nails they look like crap, they look like if a child did my nails, thick in top and thin on the edges. Truly a hit or miss on quality of work here. Some technicians know what they are doing and some don't, but as of late, it's more of the latter. It's changed a lot over the course of the last year, and my last experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I went in for a gel mani/gel pedi. As always, they did the pedi first. Towards when she was putting on the final coat, one of the managers saw the color/brand I chose for both hands and feet, and said that they weren't going to put the color on my nails because it's "bad for hands but good for feet," providing no further explanation. Alright. So I pick a different color for my hands, get mani, and leave. Approximately six hours later, my toenail polish had completely come off two of my two in the flats I was wearing (it was GEL, I should have been even able to walk out of the salon with shoes on and not have this issue). I go in the next day, and pretty much told me that it was my fault and were saying they would only correct the toes that were messed up. Yet before I even told them which color it was, they had brought over the exact bottle and color to me to ask if that's what it was. If it wasn't a problem color, how did you know which color it was without me telling you? Also, why did you let me leave with it on my feet? I demanded a full correction, which they eventually did, with attitude. Honestly, not worth risking anymore since it's so hit or miss already. read more

Got a full set of UV Gel extensions done on Tuesday, had a chipped thumb nail that was fixed on Wednesday, by Thursday my pinky nail chipped and I was just about -beep-'ing through with this place. Let me just say what I do for work requires no hard labor, a little bit of typing and I am not a heavy lifting kind of girl *flips hair* - so there's NO reason why two nails (one on each hand mind you) cracked or chipped other than the shoddy work of the tech, PERIOD. I spoke with a manager on the phone Thursday to say I was really frustrated and needed to have my nail fixed - AGAIN - because I had an engagement that evening. The manager, Eva, apologized and told me to come in and it would be fixed. When I got there, a gentleman who I assume is a supervisor of some sort was there to greet me. He was there when I got the set done originally on Tuesday, and could clearly see my frustration. He seated me with a different tech right away who proceeded to do all 10 nails over. He threw in a UV Gel Top Coat free or charge and really made me feel like I was being taken care of. For this reason I have upped this salons rating from 2 to 3 stars. Customer service is very important to me...but because I have had to make 3 trips in 3 days I honestly won't be returning. Thanks for the hospitality but too little, too late. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for a while since I live locally. I am always happy with the way my nails come out, and on occasion when I get a pedicure I am always thrilled! The professionals working here are skilled at their craft, and this salon is very clean and well sanitized. Sometimes there is a wait, so making an appointment is preferable but not usually necessary. Only once In the dozens on times that I've been here have they not been able to squeeze me in without an appointment but that was my fault for trying on a Friday night lol. I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone in the area! I also want to mention that I've had a lifelong struggle with nail biting. I first walked into Pink Nails down the street and was extremely put off by the lack of cleanliness in the place and how unfriendly the staff was which made walking into Jane's even more of a delight. I have been coming to Janes nails for about 8 years now. I used to love going there but in the last year has been a year of hell for my nails. Yuki was the last good nail tech here and now that she's gone and every experience has been horrid I cannot remain loyal here. This was just one of my last experiences with this salon. They took my appointments for tips and powder gel for 6pm and rushed through the entire process. I left with a finger cut, dry cuticles, unevenly shaped, rough sad looking nails. I called next day and they gave me no issue and did take their time fixing my nails but they still were not to my satisfaction. I'm very disappointed in how this place has been run into the ground. I switched to this salon after getting cut many times around my cuticles by a nail filer at my previous salon. The woman who did my nails is called coco (I think that's how you spell it) She did an amazing job and did not cut me or anything, very impressive. This is my Salon the second I need a fresh mani pedi for the weekend! I used to get gel but then I stopped getting my nails done. I recently started going back for a nice day to myself and teat myself with a regular mani pedi. This is the best place for that in the area. I can get great parking in the back there is always someone available to start your nails and if there isn't it's worth the wait. Got my spring colors today also took a friend who loved the service as much as I did. Personally I'm super picky about the shape of my nails and feel awful when I ask my manicurist to cut or file them in certain places, but the guy doing my nails was super sweet and was as picky as I was it was perfect! read more

The staff is very friendly, and everything is always clean and comfortable. Usually good but when they are busy they slack. The man did my pedicure and he was so rough. I had to sit up a few times to correct his painting especially near the cuticles. My manicure was subpar dry skin was still present even after applying lotion. The last pedicure i got from Amy lasted from june 9th until july 2nd and i only went back because i wanted to change the color. Today is july 7th and the bottoms of my feet and my nail beds look horrible. Maybe it depends on who you go to. read more

I have been a customer since they first opened and Lola the owner was in the shop regularly and it was great and Alice was the best nail tech, she's no longer there. Since they moved to a bigger location I have seen the shop slowly going down hill. The shop is not kept well organized or exceptionally clean, it is rather sloppy looking, and not all the nail techs know what they are doing. The one tech cut my daughter's cuticle and it would not stop bleeding. We will not be going back. read more

I wanted to wait until I'd visited this place a few times before I wrote the review, because it was almost too good to be true... since I moved to Long Island over five years ago, I've struggled to find a clean, consistent, friendly nail salon. A few shops would give awesome mani/pedi's or customer service one day, and completely disappoint on another occasion... but not this place! First thing I noticed when I walked in on my initial visit: it is surprisingly bright and oh-so CLEAN! Hallelujah for clean nail salons! Everything from the floors and walls, to the pedicure chairs, to the manicure stations seems newer and well-kept. The customer service level is impressively high: everyone is smiling, chatting, and acting generally friendly towards each other and the customers... none of that creepy, oppressed-underpaid-worker vibe which makes getting a manicure feel like an act against humanity. I've gotten mani/pedi's here three times in the past two months, each time from someone different... high quality, good work, great attention to detail. Basic mani/pedi is $20, though the past two times I've sprung for a spa pedicure with callus remover and 10 minute massage, which brings the total to $30 (well worth it if you work on your feet, like I do). Though the place is ALWAYS busy (it seems as though they have lots of loyal customers and regulars) I've never had to wait, or watched anyone else wait, more than 10 minutes. They are all about the money. Two weeks ago I got liquid UV gel, it was $35 with regular polish and $45 with gel polish (you would think that UV polish would be included with the gel base). So I opted for the regular nail polish. I was satisfied with the nails themselves for the two and a half weeks I had them, but some of them chipped off. When I went in today they told me that since I needed a new set that it would be $50! I told them that last time I got the same thing and it was $35. They insisted that it was impossible that its $35 for a fill in, but I hadn't gotten a fill, I got a "new set" because there was nothing on my nails. They just look to charge for any and every little thing. They're taking over the store next door and expanding soon. I was excited to have found a nice nail place, will NEVER go back. They also make it look like they give each new customer a new set of "sterile" tools. That is not true I have seen them wash them and restock them into the "sterile" bags that you usually see dentists open their new tools from. They're liars and are just after every cent. read more

The people were nice and the place was clean and presentable but I got a terrible gel manicure the first time (she barely cleaned my nails or cut my cuticles and was rough) and the second time I got a UV gel full set and all of my nails were uneven and shaped odd.
