I got the results back and I'm not a dr so when things come back looking not normal, it worries me. I had to call the office to follow up and left a message but didn't hear back for weeks. weeks! And then when I finally do get a call back, it's not even from the dr and they just said everything looks fine. yeah, that's not a dr I want to be seeing. According to his records, I stop breathing in my sleep several times a night - but he has made no effort to get me in touch with a cpap machine supplier. I'm used to going to doctors who seem to have fallen into a daily grind of "processing" their patients through their machine of an office. But Dr. Ottavio really seems to enjoy what he's doing, and it definitely comes through in the quality of treatment. His assistant, Tina is also very friendly and has an amazing bedside manner as well. I never feel rushed which I appreciate. He takes time to listen to you and does his best to provide the best treatment possible. He's also not one of those doctors who books 5 people for the same time slot, leaving you waiting forever. I've never had to wait long at all to be seen. I used to drive an hour to the Pt. Jeff office, but am very happy that he now has a location in Happaugue as well which is much closer. I would highly recommend anyone who is in need of a pulmonologist or sleep doctor to look him up. You'll be glad you did.
