One of the best doctors offices I have been to!…read more When I schedule an appointment for any doctor, I usually allot myself an hour and a half, between finding a parking a spot, waiting in the waiting room, waiting in the patient room, visit from the nurse, waiting some more, and then finally a consult with the doctor. Not here! Even when they are busy, you are in and out within 30 minutes! The receptionists are very friendly, and they usher you back with the nurse that takes a quick set of vitals. She is very kind, and just talks up a storm :) Afterwards you are brought straight to your room, and within 5 minutes Dr Medina shows up! She does her thing, helps out with any questions that you may have, and is very compassionate. You can tell she really has a passion for her job. I would definitely recommend Dr Medina and her office!

I am extremely happy with my decision. The check in process is fast and the doctor made me feel heard and she understood how I felt and what I needed . I'm very iffy with doctors and she was sympathetic, she listened and didn't make me feel stupid for questions I asked or things I was concerned about . The front desk staff is just as friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this doctors office to anyone ! They have a parking lot in the back of the building so you don't have to drive around looking for a spot which is convenient. I called my mom, "Mama, *gasping for air, sniffling* my chest is broken, I want to come home." After days of lounging around like a love-sick iguana, not being able to move without having a sharp pain in my chest, my friend suggested I use her family practitioner. "It could be a sinus infection!" She cautioned, side-eyeing my intense pile of tissues. Phefff, I doubted it... but better safe than sorry. I just walked in and waited--- wasn't that bad at all, about 15 minutes. Dr. Bienenstock was very sweet to me when she broke the news that I was only using 40% of my lung capacity. WHATTTTT!?!?!?!?!??! Am I going to die?! *Wheeze wheeze* "A healthy young girl like you shouldn't be short of breath after climbing up stairs," she smiled brightly and handed me a prescription for an inhaler. "Don't worry, it's reversible... *detailed medical instructions*" Thanks Doc! Quick, painless, and easy. Moral of the story: get a family practitioner, use Dr. Bienenstock.

"Dr A" ran the flu/COVID rapid tests but not the strep test. I requested a strep test be done and was told that it was not necessary after a very brief examination. Five days later, my child's symptoms never improved, so she received a strep test at another doctor's office which was positive. This, along with the excessive wait time for results and low quality of facilities (no garbage can to dispose of tissues/excessively bright lighting and noise from other rooms) made this a miserable experience for my child that ended up being a waste of time anyway.

The front desk staff (Terry) was very friendly and helpful. The nurse, Denise was very thorough in her pre-examination going over all of my mom's records and history. Dr. Procaccino was very professional. He gave us a thorough conclusion about what he believed to be the best plan of care for my mom. He took the time to make sure all our questions were answered. My mom was very satisfied with the visit and the information we received. Side note: The in-office restroom was extremely clean, as were the exam rooms. There is also a very relaxing fish tank in the waiting area, along with several artistic coffee table books to peruse while you wait to be called in.

No doctor is waiting 3 or 4 hours or longer for. Spoke to Cheryl the office manager who said waiting that long is normal for any doctor. Get out of here! This doctor does not make phone calls and does not email. To get blood or test results you have to make an appointment and go through this whole nightmare again. Disgusting that they treat patients like this. One worker confided that mostly "old people" see this doctor and "they don't have a lot going on so they don't mind waiting hours". DISGUSTING!

I have friends that run from Dr to Dr & seem to enjoy a full calendar of appts! Go figure??? Not this girl. Anyway.... On to Dr. Levitz! She's a one woman show. She's the only dr in her practice . Reminds me of going to our family dr in the 60's & 70's.... Dr. Harry Abe in Wantagh. In fact.... I haven't found a dr that I liked as much... until I found DR Levitz. The office is located in the Chase Bank bldg on the north side of Merrick Rd. Suite 300. The office is definitely NOT fancy at all. Far from it. But.... She is amazing. Soo caring & very thorough . She'll call you after hrs & always seems to be available. She's not a prescription writer so if you're the type looking for pain pills...she's not the Dr for you. She's very "by the book" & always looking out for your entire well being... Physically, mentally etc. She also offers a vitamin IV treatment. I've done it a few times & I did feel healthier afterwards. I've turned a few friends onto Dr Levitz & they go several times a week for the IV treatments. All in all.... I think she's pretty fantastic!!

Dr. Heymann realized she had a perforated appendix (7x the normal size) that had leaked infection in her diaphragm area. He performed surgery in which he took out not only her appendix, but part of her intestine, colon, Fallopian tube, ovary and more. It was a serious, long surgery (4-5 hours) and she was in Lenox Hill Hospital for 12 days. Dr. Heymann even checked on her on weekends(!!) and made himself available to my sister and our family, who flew in from California. We finally found out a few days ago that there was no cancer: and thanks to Dr. Heymann's expert care, my sister has been resting at home now, healing and is doing great! Dr. Heymann is just what a surgeon should be. He is extremely kind, human, communicative, detailed and conscientious, knowlegable and caring. I believe he saved my sister's life and we are so grateful to him.
