If I could give this office zero starts I would. My long term family dr. retired and her replacement wanted to change my older ( cheaper) meds with new name brand ($$$) medications. Hence, I was looking for a new family practice for my family and me. I had an appointment with the PA Collingsworth working on the umbrella of dr. Jacobs. However, the PA never had the professionalism that should come with a medical practice. Her MA was delightful. However, that is as far as I got in the 90 minutes I was there. The MA took a list of my meds. A few minutes after going over my medications the MA returned to inform me I was on " too many medications" and " she has to look them up" I would not be getting scripts for my narcotics. I take ambien for sleep and Fiorcet for migranes. Beside those i am on 8 meds for blood pressure, uriary frequency, thyroid and antidepressants. None of the oxy meds that is all over the news. ) Shortly afterward the MA came in with a scrap piece of paper for me write down my specialist. I was upset that the PA could not or would not meet me but cowardly kept sending her MA. The whole thing was unprofessional and in my 30+ years as a nurse have never witnessed this type of behavior in a medical professional. I do know that the practice used to be a urgent care so maybe they are having a tough time evolving into a family practice. Nonetheless this IS NOT the practice for anyone looking for a practice prepared or or apparently skilled to care for family members or yourself. If you have Blue Cross/Blue Shield I have already alerted them about this business and started the process of notification to CAPA. After that will be the Attorney General for fraud as I am sure my insurance will be billed. read more
