The shop is certainly nicer than an average kebab takeaway with a seating area. You can see that the meat for the schwarma kebabs on the spit is made up of strips of proper meat and not just an amorphous lump of goodness knows what. The shish kebabs are also good. The kebabs are washed down with some nice fresh juices. The next time you're trawling round Wimbledon for some fast food, give Flame a try.

I once asked for cheesy chips here (a regular northern take-away option) but the best they could do was offer me a box of chips, which were better than most take-away kebab shop chips in London, with a slice of plastic cheese on top. (It wasn't actually plastic but you know the ones i mean?!). It was quite funny really and i didn't mind because the guys in Flame are a good laugh and friendly. We had a meat bhuna and meat makhani with chicken briyani and some parathas. The taste of the curries lived up to the smells - lots of fresh spices, herbs and proper masalas had obviously gone into the making of these curries. What made it even more amazing was the price. Each meat curry was only £3.50 for a very big box of meat-heavy curry. I love it when a place lives up to all that mental promise that you put onto it!
