I stopped in for a late lunch because I was riding country roads to a new town near-ish home, and Jamaican cuisine isn't something I've had or seen in a while, so it was an easy choice. Also, Google reviews were positive.
The owner and chef, Horace, was excited to feed us and brought out several items so we could try them. He brought pasta, jerk chicken, and oxtail. It was all amazing but I wanted the spicy chicken with yellow rice. I must say the oxtail was a flavor bomb and I will definitely be getting it next time.
The yellow rice has amazing seasoning and I had to force myself to stop and move onto the chicken so I didn't get too full. The chicken is very saucy and tasted great. I'd have liked even more spice and Horace said he'd treat me right next time.
I'll come back when the 45-60 minute drive makes sense. It'll be worth it!
