It was a strange idea to me that the LUAS would be built intersecting the St. James' medical compound -splitting the mortuary and funeral chapel off from the rest of the complex. However, that curling break of white wall and peaked architecture is an excellent way to enter the city centre by tram.
Alight from here and there's very little to see -the surrounding area is largely residential with just a few small shops catering to hospital visitors (as for the Adult store a block down... I don't know exactly what customer base they had in mind) and the next stop is a long downhill walk away at Heuston Station.
