I tried the Ethiopian Shegitu. The blend's taste catches you off guard by hitting the back of your throat, is full bodied, and something to sip on and enjoy vs chugging to make it through your work day. The owner, Dudley was patient enough to chat with me over the many blends he has in stock and give me a highlight of the depth of knowledge he has about his beans, and the worldly coffees he offers. This is place is one that those who are especially nerdy about their coffee, should visit. Or at least, check out the not so frantically updated website/ fb biz page to ogle

And their drinks menu is gargantuan! It covers an entire wall. This is a nice corner location with ample square footage. From 7 am to 8 am, I observed a steady stream of customers ordering coffee and breakfast. I ordered one Biscuit and Gravy plus another Biscuit with Egg, Cheese, and Ham. Both selections were excellent. The biscuit and gravy was particularly awesome. I also ordered a Hot Chocolate. They have three choices of hot chocolate with or without whipped cream. Service was friendly, speedy and pleasant. The restaurant was clean and well stocked with coffee customizing accessories.

I stopped in for lunch as I was passing through town and was pleasantly surprised with all the menu offerings. Brewed coffees, lattes, teas and other beverages plus bagels, pastries and a rotating lunch option. I ordered a half/half Cobb salad and Jack & Tom grilled cheese sandwich. Both were loaded with flavorful ingredients, and the combo was plenty of food to fill me up, otherwise I would have loved to try one of the delicious looking sandwich cookies. Also I can't forget to mention, they have the good ice! The super friendly staff gives Gottcha a warm and welcoming vibe, and the hand-written "remember to smile" message on my tea cup was such a sweet, personal touch! My only wish was to see less single-use plastic silver ware and containers for dine-in service. Still, I will definitely plan to stop there again whenever I'm passing through.

They did not serve one customer in the drive thru while I was there and there were at least 4 cars in line. The worst part was that there were really only 2 people working and one of them wasn't getting much done because she spent more time in the back talking to the manager/owner?, the young person waiting on the counter was going as fast as possible but could keep up with the crowd. It really is a shame because the muffins and coffee drinks are very good but it is impossible for working people to wait that long for a cup of coffee in the morning. I've been stopping here off and on for several years and this poor service is something new. I'm just hope it gets better or this business may not be around long. I imagine if there were any other options in the area, this place would be in trouble.

I didn't care for the taste, and I'm not sure if I made a bad selection or if the taste was off. The foam on top was an odd consistency and the bottom of the drink was gritty with coffee grinds. The concept is interesting, as they have a play area for kids with several tables nearby. Then they have a room with sliding doors to the side that is a quiet space. The space was wide open and nicely done, however it is so loud and all you can hear are the kids using the play space. The service wasn't particularly welcoming and I thought the pricing was high for the area. My medium drink was over $8. I can appreciate what they are trying to do, but I don't see myself returning.
