I was very glad when the mini golf was over! Actually, I think my grandsons were as well. They also have daylight outdoor mini golf, which would have been a better choice for me. Afterward I gave each boy $10 in quarters (ATM and change machines on site) to play with in the arcade. Prizes were crap, naturally, but they had fun. A few games were out of order, sadly. I would not wholeheartedly recommend this venue, but it suited this Spring Break entertainment quest today.

The decorations are pretty cool, definitely very family friendly. I didn't find the holes very challenging, but the ones that were seemed impossible. They have a small arcade with about 15 games. Most seemed kinda dated, but the kids still enjoyed themselves. No prizes! But if you have little kids, that is kind of a godsend. There is a small snack bar inside so you could get a drink. This swim club is extremely racist and biased. They are also sexist many of the female lifeguards I know that work their never get promoted to black or blue suits while the male employees easily do. They also have bad customer service and will make you wait to be helped until they finish their conversation. As an Asian woman I don't feel welcomed or safe with my kids and I wouldn't recommended anyone of color to come to Lakeside.

Oldham County added something new this year for Elections…read more They are allowing three days of early voting, with no excuse. It is held at the John Black Community Center. This is a wonderful facility and on voting day it was set up for election central and very well staffed. There were officials to check you in , give you a ballot and show you where you could sit and make out the ballot. Once completed you just walk over to a scanner and insert your ballot and in seconds you are on your way. No long lines to stand in and no hassels. Congratulations Oldham County. It is great to see our taxes working so well.

Most recently, we've started staying in the executive cabins. We have around 40+ plus friends and family that come down and the General Butler Resort is a wonderful place to stay. They have grills and fire pit areas for each cabin or you can stay at the mountain lodge. Whatever you decide, this place is amazing from camping to hiking trails. The historical significance of the Butler mansion is so interesting, if you're into history. I've been here during Halloween for their paranormal event they have every year. They have the most impressive outdoor pool and host a variety of festivals over the summer, too!

I bet this spot is hopping come the warmer months when the outdoor courts double the games able to be played. It is an option. Not my preferred one, but a good one.

The seating to watch games is not the best. If you don't like sitting on the hard stadium seats you might want to bring a folding chair however it is hard too see the field in the areas you can sit. They don't charge admission to see the games so you'll have extra money to go in and buy something from their concession stand. Reasonable prices. The problem I had was with the parking. There is limited parking in the main lot so you may have to park way up in the upper parking lot. Makes for a very long walk up hill.
