The 16,000-square-foot playground was made possible by a $400,000 fundraising campaign. The playground is named for John "Bodie" Vaccino", a local Milford boy who was born with cerebral palsy. When he was younger, his parents took him to a boundless playground called Hannah's Dream in New Haven. Bodie was able to play with his sister, Emma, as if he had no limitations. His parents then set a project in motion to bring a similar playground to their hometown of Milford. They didn't want a playground just for children with disabilities, but rather a community play mecca for kids of all abilities. The playground was designed by John Hollerbach, owner of Creative Recreation, who has worked on other projects associated with the nonprofit Boundless Playgrounds. An adjoining splash pad opened in July 2018. My family and I recently visited Bodie's Place Playground while we were on our summer break from school. My wife and I are always looking for good playgrounds for our sons, and we heard lots of great things about Bodie's Place. The playground actually features 2 large playscapes: one intended for younger children (ages 2-5) and another intended for older children (ages 5-12). We thought that both playscapes were equally impressive. After our sons played on them for a while, they changed into their swimsuits and headed on over to the equally impressive splashed. Both of our sons had a blast! I must also note that there are plenty of amenities at the park, including bathrooms, pavilions, picnic tables and benches available at the park. We highly recommend Bodie's Place Playground to families with small children and look forward to returning!

The price was very affordable compared to other play gyms. For 3-5 yr olds, the facility was very suitable. They even have a cute virtual reality game that the kids loved. I found the place to be very clean. I did not see the bathrooms but I didn't hear anything bad about them either. Since the party we have been back once. It is a great weekend activity. We planned the party pretty late so the only time slot for that day was 5pm. We were given 2 hours and each child gets tokens for the specials ( virtual reality, bumper cars, etc). Kids must wear socks. Parents/ Adults are not allowed on the bounce equipment. There are a few benches for sitting that keep you in close proximity to keep an eye on your little. Most parents just stand along the side. They also have a few table and chairs in the arcade game area. My only issue was parking. It is located in a small shopping mall and down a little hill. So unloading all the stuff for the party had our car right in front of the door, blocking people from entering. I did find out that there was parking behind but it's a little out the way.

The pizza special they have right now was 2 slices fries and a drink for only around $5. We bought an unlimited monthly subscription which was a decent deal as well. The bumper cars were very fun. My son got injured on the go karts which went very fast and I found them hard to control the speed so be aware when riding. The front desk employee was very nice. We definitely will return again. Only other con is the place is very dark inside so it's hard to keep an eye on your kid at all times.

Sounds awesome, especially as it gets more and more difficult as they get older to find a place. This was done blindly, which I will never recommend FYI... 2 hours away in CT as I'm coming from Westchester County... So after sitting in traffic to get to the location, we walk I'm and await our host... as we wait, I notice a sign stating that the bumper cars are closed for repairs... I was not notified of this, and then I looked again and saw that the go karts were also not operating soooo... I was pissed to say the least as I didn't just drive 2 hours for all of this to get here and 2 of the main reasons as to why my daughter selected this place was for those two reasons... I ask to speak with a manager to ask what's going on and am greeted by a teenager who says that she'll go and speak to the manager and then proceeds to come out without a manager and inform me that they're down and the manager apologizes for the inconvenience... I'm spending a good amount of money for this party and a manager can't come out to speak with me... The whole place is run by kids, it was crazy... Finally, a guy named, Sean, comes out and speaks with me. He says he's going to find out what's going on... He proceeds to tell me that the mechanic for the go-karts said they'll be done in 20 mins... but the bumper cars are closed, he didn't know himself and just found out, he says. An hour and a half later (party is only 2 hours for the room) the go karts open... my party literally consisted of 9 kids and 5 adults... they were on line for an hour and a half to use the go karts bc smaller kids couldn't go by themselves and had to wait for a double seater, and only one was operating... they missed the pizza and almost singing happy birthday bc they waited on line so long, and it wasn't even that long of a line... the room was pretty tore up and in desperate need of a fast lift... the place was dead... the zip line looks alot better online as it was tiny and you literally are on it for second and it does less than a half a circle, the VR wasn't working, the bumper cars were closed... I wish I would've just gone and had it at Thrillz n Jumpz in CT. It was the best party to date... Although our host was very sweet, we had to ask for several things for the party several times but he was very sweet and let us stay in the room longer... then to try and help, they gave us some arcade cards, but since everything was so behind on the go karts, had barely any time to use the cards, and they turned the games off on us... My best advice would be to go elsewhere because this was not it! 2 hours to get there and almost 2 hours to go home... not at all worth it... The go-kart guy was cool and let me party go a few extra times... Thanks for that...
