To start of with : I have had good experiences with Nurse Pam and Dr Novak…read more However, the administrative side of this practice is really problematic. 1) Most appointments (in my experience) run much later than scheduled (in some cases more than 1 hour!). The practice says that if the wait time becomes too long they can reschedule, however I recently had to wait even longer during the rescheduled appointments. The actual appointments feel incredibly short and brief, but I guess this is the unfortunate state of healthcare in the US, wherein you only get to talk to your doctor for less than 15 minutes. Appointments do feel fairly rushed. 2) The front desk seems to be very disorganized with keeping track of payments, be careful to save all your receipts or risk getting constant letters that you owe money to the practice! In my experience, they have not properly recorded co-payment and claimed that I did not pay. I have otherwise had good experiences here, but these issues (long waits and poor billing organization) sadly makes for an altogether poor experience

I have been seeing Dr. Novak on and off for over 25 years. He is an excellent Doctor and I would…read morehighly recommend him. He is independent and open minded, and will not try to corral you or subject you to one size fits all medical treatment. This is a small independent medical office, one that is increasingly rare these days, so what you might have to sacrifice in waiting times or sometimes overworked front office staff is more than made up for by the quality of personal medical treatment you will get from Dr. Novak.

At 71, carefully transitioning from 50 miles of walking per week and three 2-hour gym workouts each week is crucial to my quality of life. Dr. Anderson has helped preserve my knees and hips by gradually replacing walking with lap swimming and incorporating a PT routine alongside moderate weightlifting during my gym time. He is also providing steady guidance for my other age-related challenges, including asthma and low-grade prostate cancer. This includes lap swimming to increase my lung capacity and referring me to the best local urologist for promising cancer treatments. I appreciate that he sees patients on a walk-in basis with minimal wait times, remembers my history, and patiently answers all my questions. It's no surprise he's the best-rated PCP locally by Humana!

She said "well, if you can't afford health insurance you shouldn't be buying anything out of pocket" DISCRIMINATION MUCH?? I was totally in shock. I'm not one to impulsively review a business negatively. I actually like to reach out to resolve my…read moredifferences due to understanding customer service and healthcare as I work in it, but I have to say this has been the worst experience I have had with a PCP HMO practice. Absolutely no care for patient care, only want you to schedule physicals and then downplay your real issues when discussed. The only PA that was actually caring was Lindsay and she left and that's when it became very apparent this practice is lacking. Called several times for real medical concerns and was told to call back @7:30 in the am every day to see if could be triaged in that day, but never was. Sad and disappointed in the healthcare system, but I transferred recently and it was a big reminder to never settle as there are healthcare providers who actually want to see you instead of sending you to urgent care or ER!

He is definitely reaching the later stages of his career but I can tell that he really enjoys what he does and is still as sharp as anyone in the business. I always enjoy having a conversation with him not only about my health but just really about whatever we happen to talk about. I really respect his opinions and advice both medically speaking and just in general. For my past 2 visits, I saw Dr McFeeters who, I think, is also great at what he does. Like Dr Kaleen, he is also very personable and does a great job of explaining what he means. He also includes a personal touch so you can understand where he is coming from. At my last visit, Dr McFeeters realized that I needed some emergency care and was able to get me an appointment to get a CT scan and an appointment with the appropriate specialist that day. I did not realize that my condition was as serious as it was and he was able to to get me the important care I needed that very day! Can't say enough good things about these guys and I'm sure I will continue to visit their office for years to come.

Me and my husband are so grateful that we switched to Dr Arvin Saluta as our Primary Physician ( That includes our 2 sons ) He is the best Doctor we ever had, he is always there for us, and is so caring. Dr Saluta, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for finding time in your busy schedule to see us, and call us to discuss our illness, our lab results, and medication, and making sure that our questions and concerns are all answered. You treat us as if we are a family, you care and we feel your kindness. and concern. there were numerous occasions that Dr Saluta finds time to see us urgently w/o appointment, thanks to his staff, RN Genie ( I am not sure if I spelled her name correctly ) but she is awesome, she returns calls so promptly and is very knowledgeable and caring. We don't mind driving from Mira Mesa where we live to Downtown San Diego for our Doctor appointments ( also lab and X-rays) because it is like going to Disneyland to visit our Doctor :) it is worth the drive !
