Every point of contact, from scheduling to follow-up, was on-point and communications with Dr. Dohad and his support team were delivered in plain "patient English" that my wife and I could easily understand. I would assume that anyone reading this review is looking for cardiac care, and I could not recommend Dr. Dohand with any more enthusiasm. I will forever be grateful for every extra day I have as a result of his dedication to cardiology. He is in high demand for good reason and yet when I have a follow up appointment with him, he takes the time to answer my many questions and never makes me feel like I need to hurry up so he can get to his next patient. I have spoken with other cardiologists who also speak very highly of Dr. Dohad so he is tops among his patients and peers as well.

I came to this hospital (Cedar Sinai) and I needed a liver biopsy, kidney nerve block and a…read morepossible pacemaker. They performed tests and never gave me a report of findings. I have high allergies and can only have morphine by IV and I have CHF. He kept discharging me immediately after tests and would not meet with me regarding results. He took me off of the morphine that works for me and replaced it with a liquid and I am having severe allergic reactions (burning all over my body, bed sweats, etc.). Someone said they may have stolen my morphine and they tried to discharge me 3 times and withdrew their discharge each time I appealed and said they made a mistake. I am now still in hospital burning all over my body as allergic reaction and doctors are ignoring my cries. I am Afro/Indian and they stole my morphine and are causing racial profiling now if I say anything. I am suing. This doctor is very racist.

Dr. Quintana is wonderful and I'm not sure you could find a better internist. We actually tried a…read morefew other internists when our insurance changed but both my husband and I returned to Dr. Quintana. He is whip smart, very up on current research, is happy to entertain your questions, practices old-fashioned medicine where your story is important, and cares a great deal that you lead a happy, healthy, and long life. When he wants me to do some sort of medical test or take a new prescription he says, "You'll thank me when you're 90 and still healthy!" He is honest, forthright, and kind. He gives excellent referrals when you need a specialist. Dr. Quintana has a computer app that he uses and it is easy and saves a lot of time. I can get any test results at the same time that he does. Unless he has emergencies, he answers any questions I put in the app by the end of the day and I get an email letting me know to look for his answer. We are both on Medicare, which doesn't reimburse very well for visits to internists, so we do have a yearly fee that we need to pay to make up for that. At first I was upset by this, but it has become very normal now for internists to have this fee in order to supplement Medicare. James at the front desk is always cheerful and ready to help.

When making my initial appointment I was informed of an annual $300 administrative fee that was not covered by my insurance. I almost cancelled the appointment right there, I had never heard of this before. I am sure glad I didn't !
