Used to be a good office. Now he wants $2k/year to do stuff he should have been doing all along.

Our family has had good to adequate care from this office for over 20 years but the practice seems to have steadily declined in the service provided. And just recently we were notified that this practice will convert to a concierge-style of practice with a nearly $2000 yearly membership required. I hope patients that stick with Dr. Fierro find this to be an improvement and that you might actually see the doctor instead of a PA and get timely and accurate prescription refills. We will have to look elsewhere. read more

Dr. James Fierro is double dipping I am a senior citize. I have Medicare and United healthcare advantage plan. I've been a patient of this doctor for 5 years. I only ever saw the doctor once in the 5 years I've been with the practice but his PA' s that I always saw were very good but now I get a letter in the mail telling me unless I join his new personalized healt care program to the out of pocket cost of 1,950.00 annually I have to find a new PCP at the same time he is still getting paid by the health insurance. I feel like this should be illegal. I am very disappointed and plain pissed off over this I wouldn't take my pet to this double dipping uncaring so called doctor. read more

I highly recommend NOT using this doctor as your primary physician. I am in my late 40s and have had no health issues at all over the last 4 years. I called Dr. Fierro's office because I am having an issue and they are our primary doctor/physician. Or I should say were. When I called to try to setup an appointment to come in and get help they told me to go to the ER that I'm no longer their patient. When I asked why, I was told that I hadn't been in since 2021. Because of this I was no longer considered a patient and they are not accepting any new patients. So because I have been healthy and not calling to come in and spend money when I don't need to they no longer want my business. There was never a call to me or my wife at any point in the last five years letting us know that they would no longer be our primary doctor. I will also add that in the time that Fierro was my doctor I never saw him even once at any of my previous appointments. I was only ever seen by a nurse practitioner. I would give this office negative stars if possible. They have zero compassion for people. read more

**BELIEVE ALL OF THE 1 STAR/NEGATIVE REVIEWS!** This office is only concerned with how much money and profit you can bring in for them. If you miss your annual visit, you are removed from their patient database. If you try to make an appointment, they will say that you are now considered a new patient, and when you try to make a new patient appointment, (which is typically longer and has a higher cost,) you are told that they are currently not accepting new patients, so you will need to find care elsewhere. When you explain that you are experiencing a very concerning health situation and need to see someone so that you can get lab work scheduled, you are told that you will need to find a new provider or see urgent care. You will not be scheduled, as you are now considered a new patient and they are no longer accepting new patients. They will have zero consideration for your health, or how long you have been with the practice. When you go to this facility, as the spouse of the person in question, to inquire why your spouse is not able to make an "extra cost-new patient " appointment since they have an outstanding history with the office, and they are not just a new person walking in off the street, you are told nothing can be done, your spouse will not be seen, they will need to see a new provider. When they are told that this decision is affecting your spouse's mental health, because they are experiencing a concerning situation, you are heartlessly told that "this is not a mental health facility, but we can give you a recommendation for one." You are left crying, in front of your young children who had to come along. And then you receive a letter in the mail being told that you are also being kicked out of the practice. No explanation, no reason, just that they will no longer treat you, and that you will have to find a new provider as well. In addition, at least 6 times calls were left on their required voicemail for prescription refills that were never processed. Of those six times, a second voicemail was left four times and the request still wasn't processed. I had to call back and wait to actually speak to a person and tell them that my request hadn't been processed. And this was after waiting 4 or more days for each request. The people working the front counter must have the most miserable lives to treat people the way that they do. I sincerely hope for them that each of their lives improve to the point that they're able to treat people with the respect that they deserve coming into that practice. Multiple times I considered leaving based on the fact that I felt like the scum on the bottom of someone's shoe for asking a question. I never, in all of my time there, raised my voice. I never got upset, other than the time I went in to question why they weren't able to schedule my spouse for an appointment. And even then, I got upset in a sad way, not an angry way - I was crying rather than yelling. Yet six ladies behind the counter jumped down my throat, for daring to question the policy apparently put in place by the "God" that is "Dr. Fierro." The person in charge who, might I add, you only ever see the very first time you have an appointment, as all other treatment is only done through nurse practitioners. The person who has no regard for his patients or their health. When I asked the front desk, "may I please speak with the office manager or Dr. Fierro?" in a completely calm manner, he is the person, whose office is located right by the front desk, and rather than pop out and say something along the lines of "how can I help?" he instead chose to slide his foot over and shut the office door right in my face. I would not recommend this office to my WORST enemy. And should they ever start taking new patients, and you're considering going to this office, please turn to the other direction and run far and fast to any other practice that is currently accepting patients! After being a long time patient of the practice, I would not expect to be treated with such dismissiveness. The receptionist and other patient facing admin staff are horribly rude, demeaning, and condescending. They actually hang up on patients if they pose a difficult question or situation that they need help with. This is a true shame because the actual medical providers have been professional and appropriate. I would not recommend doing business with this practice if you wish to be treated with dignity and respect! read more

This office does not call their patients for test results. When I sent them an email, asking them why, they responded by email stating, "Our office reaches out to patients with any abnormalities in their testings." I emailed them back and asked what if reaching out to patients with test abnormalities gets overlooked? After a couple of days, I did not get a response, so I emailed the same question again. Two days after that, I received a certified letter from them, telling me to find a new doctor. When I asked about receiving a refill for meds, they would only give me a 30-day supply. Now, I was just there for my 6-month check-up in September. Because they only gave me enough meds thru mid December, I now have to make another appt. for another check-up with a new doctor, solely to get my meds refilled. Thanks a lot, Fierro~! You're lower than low on the human scale~! NOTE: Fierro has been advertising daily in "The News Journal" for about 3 years. MOST good doctors don't need to advertise at all. His desperation for patients speaks loud and clear~! Lastly, check out Fierro's photo on his Facebook page. He's in a defensive stance with his crossed arms.
