They also soft washed the house. We built in a brand new neighborhood and the house was pretty darn dirty! I feel like we have a brand new house again! I had James Co out to wash all the windows both inside and outside. They were professional, careful and the windows look great. They did the screens and also cleaned the tracks which were very dirty. The workman was careful to not harm several screens that were brittle, and he fully explained his process before he started. We moved and have a few less windows and most are on the lower level, but they are all screened and we now have a skylight. This was the absolute worst home service experience I have ever had. In my original communication with the owner of the company I asked if he cleaned window tracks because the house that I purchased 6 months ago had been neglected and the tracks were very dirty. He assured me that he did and came out to make an estimate. After viewing the five windows and tracks he gave me a price. I told him I wanted him to be comfortable with the price he was charging. He said he was. He didn't mention any kind of tiered service and didn't seem bothered by the dirt in the tracks which I assumed he knew how to clean since he had come over and seen them for himself before pricing the project. After he and his assistant had cleaned the exterior of the glass they went to do the interior. From the water used on the outside, some of the window tracks were filled with water that formed a kind of mud with the dirt in the tracks. I asked him about the standing water and mud and he said the drain holes were plugged but assured me he would be able to clean them. One window's tracks were dry and he needed a vacuum but didn't have one of his own so he had to use mine. Again, I thought it odd that a professional would not be equipped to do a job properly. I told him to go ahead and remove the screws that were plugging the drain holes. He removed them from one of the windows but the dirt and debris kept them from draining. He seemed to get frustrated with that but again assured me he would clean the tracks. Then he seemed to get visibly frustrated and announced they were leaving. I asked if he was going to just leave the dirt and standing water in the tracks and he said "that's as good as they're going to get." He asked to be paid and I did because what else could I do? I'm not accustomed to having someone demand payment when they didn't complete a job. His assistant even pointed out that there was still water and dirt in the tracks. At this point I just wanted him gone because it was obvious he wasn't going to finish the job right. He left in a hurry and I the more I looked at those tracks filled with dirty water and soil the madder I got. I texted him and told him how unhappy I was with the job he did and he blew me off at first, telling me my windows were "defective." When I expressed even more displeasure he grudgingly said he could come back out in a few days. I saw no point in this and told him he was not a good service provider, having not delivered on the job he was hired to do. I had already given up half a day of work. Honestly, I have never been in such a situation where someone leaves without finishing a job they were hired to do. I suspect he underbid to get the work, got into it, found out it was more complex (though he had seen the windows and tracks before he provided his bid) and decided to cut his losses and lose a customer rather than follow through. I asked for part of the money back and he ignored me. His excuse for leaving the tracks dirty is that I was given the "basic" package which doesn't include tracks. But that package only costs $89. I paid considerably more at $280. And he did clean the screens which is only included in the Premier package so that was what I was expecting, and that package includes track cleaning. Also, he didn't have to do the sliding glass door which should have made it even less expensive. But I was willing to pay the $280 to get those dirty tracks cleaned. It was a learning experience for me and should be for you. GET IT IN WRITING. But I thought I could trust him as he seemed like a decent individual on his website and Facebook page. As it turned out, I worked for 3.5 hours getting those tracks clean myself. How he gets 5-star ratings is beyond me. Probably people with brand news houses who just want someone to wash the glass surfaces. Because this guy can't do much else. read more

We purchased James Co Window Cleaning with Groupon June 6 , 2020, and were given an appointment date of September 2, 2020. While waiting almost 2 months, 5 minutes before the 10:00 am -1:00 pm time frame of our appointment date, we received a text that the window cleaner had finished his first job of the day but was too ill to do our job. He said he would re-schedule, but after our text and an email requesting a re-schedule date, we sent yet another text and email on September 15, 2020, but still received no contact or response. I cannot say enough about this guy! I called him when our other guy had rescheduled twice and then no-showed, the day before we were getting pics done of our house that we were listing that weekend!
