His approach to massage and acupuncture therapy is unlike anything we experienced before--deeply attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely focused on healing. One of the most impactful parts of our journey with him was the treatment he provided for my sister, who has cerebral palsy. She worked with Dr. Yu for about two years, and during that time we saw meaningful improvements in her muscle movement, speech clarity, and overall posture. Watching her progress was something we'll never forget, and we'll always be grateful for the care he put into every session. Both of my parents have also seen Dr. Yu. They each struggle with neuropathy and lower-back pain, and there are days they walk in limping or hunched over. After a session with him, they often leave standing upright and noticeably more comfortable. It's become an essential part of maintaining their mobility and managing their pain. Dr. Yu is someone we recommend without hesitation. He's compassionate, skilled, and incredibly consistent in the quality of care he provides. If you're looking for someone who truly understands the body and takes the time to treat the root of the issue--not just the symptoms--Dr. Yu is the one to see.

A…read moredoctor may think this unfair but when your care team is sub par it does reflect negatively on the doctor. Sometimes unknown to them and sometimes because they do not care. I am not sure where it falls in here. I have phoned at least four times in the last few years. I had an acoustic tumor that grew aggressively (not a norm for this type of tumor) into the brain stem. I wanted to get another opinion because I have had 'inconclusive' on the final reads (whether there was additional growth) and I wanted to make sure I did not get into another life-threatening situation (my first surgery was emergency with a 2% chance of survival which I thankfully survived). I would get sent to the voice mail of his nurse at which time I would get a follow up weeks later. Cut to now a few years since I phoned and got the 'inconclusive' read on my last MRI (with and without contrast) but now with a possible sign of growth so, again, I phoned Dr. Kellys' office only to be told he does not deal with Schwannomas. I was never informed of this in prior communications with the office (which is odd). I always stated what type of tumor I had and reports and scans were sent. Then his nurse said she was forwarding my information to another doctor that deals with the aforementioned type of tumor. I never heard from them. Then, maybe three months later (or more) I got a call from someone that did not say their name (just stated Pacific Neurosurgery) and called from a private number. Just to reiterate, this is now 1/3 of a year later. Buyer beware.

I'm sure she has her side of the story while I have mine, but working in customer care, she is extremely rude. The office cut contract with blue shield while I was waiting for my son's appointment to review results. I asked if Dr. Can call me with results instead of seeing him since he's longer in network with my insurance, to which she answered he'll call me as a courtesy but I'm no longer welcome as his patient if he does since he'd go over them over the phone. I'd have to wait for my appointment to go over results. YOU don't get to decide this, you're his employee. It's too bad that you represent his office and you're the middle man between patient and doctor. You also spoke to me in a very demeaning manner and kept interrupting saying "well that's our policy" Except it's not, because I told the doctor. I drove over an hour to see Dr. Kurian and would do it again but not as long as you represent him. Very unpleasant talking to Crystal.

I have photos of at least 9 lawsuits by patients families that their loved ones either died or seriously harmed at his hand. I have reported him to the CA Medical Board but everyone is covering up for him, Dr. Death. He operated out of several hospitals but not an employee of these hospitals. He has so many different names, so many different websites, you get the picture. Some of the names are: California Institute of Neuroscience, Inc., California Brain Institute, Inc. Cineuro.org. Also, he goes by several different names. Very sketchy. He even lost the part of my brother's skull during a surgery that he botched, where my brother eventually died. He pretends he is the best in the world, but look out. The problem is most people don't have time to google him or do a deep dive as their loved ones are in the emergency room with brain injuries, that need immediate care. But you can find all this information on Unicourt.com or Trellis.com, that shows you how many people have been injured by his surgery. This needs a below a one star review, it should be a minus one thousand.
