In store at this location night my time and money were wasted. I was then told by the manager there was nothing they could do. I knew if she couldn't, someone should be able to help so I asked who I could speak to. She told me there was no one that could help resolve the issue that came from bad information given in their store about a purchase I was going to make but backed out on because they would not honor the promotion. I said I would call corporate online then and have a talk with them about my experience since she already informed me they wouldn't simply email her, which clearly would go jo where since her response was part of the issue as well. I went ahead and called online anyways. I was listened to. I was treated kindly. And to top it off they were able to honor the promotion and help resolve the issue that occurred in store. So, my order is now on the way, but I will never return to that location again since they were clearly incapable of resolving issues "in store" (which is how the manager said online would tell me it needed to be handled) ... but this location. was more than willing to take my time and go ahead and place my order if i ordered double the charms required according to the promotion -meaning if I was willing to pay double what I needed to and buy things I didn't want. Im glad I reached out to online despite the manager telling me no one else would be able to either since she wouldn't. Seems to me that she cared more about trying to make double the money out of an already costly order than creating a culture of good customer care. James avery is already top of the line so the product doesn't need to be pushed, but real customer care in stores should be. After all, isn't that what they are known for? The ladies behind the counter were not the issue. It was the manager who was the issue, and she clearly cares 0% about being helpful. read more

I'm rewriting this review because the day I wrote it, I was completely full of shock and anger. I am so disappointed with this James Avery. Not only was the women on the phone completely disrespectful, but the "manager" on duty, Kimberly, was completely out of line. The way they treated me and my husband, I am honestly embarrassed for the owners of James Avery. If I had a staff running my business like the way Midlands staff is, I would shut the location down completely. I have been a JA customer for 10+ years and I have been to locations all around Texas, and after this experience, I will never go back. My bracelet has been in their possession for 15 days. 15 DAYS. And when asked for a time, their reply was that it will be there when it will be there. Rude and so pathetic. No tracking number and no remorse or any since of descent customer service. We still have yet to receive any information on when we will get my bracelet back but by this point, we are completely done with James Avery. Do better. read more

Absolutely disappointed in how I was treated today by a sales associate. Walked in on a time crunch, asked for a paper. A different sales associate rudely walked up to me (was NOT 6 feet apart from me) and asked if I needed help, TWICE. I had told her I did not need help. I was already writing down what I needed. She then Huffed and puffed when I told her I did not need help. Continued to talk rudely about me to another co worker. I have never in my life been treated like that at a James Avery. I've always felt welcomed. I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I guess business is doing well when Sales ASSociates (Daisy) talk down to patrons that come in to pick up jewelry. My wife agreed to pick up items for my niece who lives out of town. The ASSociate contradicted what my niece was told over the phone by another associate about having other people pick up her items. Which would not have been an issue if the ASSociate wasn't so rude. I have shopped at James Avery for years, both in store & online. This Christmas season was the worst experience I've ever had and far below what I had become accustomed to as a long time customer. On Dec. 19th I purchased 2 items online to pick up at the local store. Everything was in stock & but it would take up to 3 hours to fulfill. That's strange 3 hours?! Had never been that way before but ok, it was before store hours when I placed the order & would be after lunch before I could get by to pick them up. Several hours later, I get an email that one item was no longer available at the store! I had paid for it but store staff didn't pull it for online order & double sold an item I had paid for already!! Promised 2nd day delivery still get it in time for Christmas. Other item is ready. Get to the store around 1:30pm to pick up available item,feeling smarter than 3-4 dozen customers wrapped in line in store & out the front door. Go to the station that has been for online order pick up for past years only to be told there isn't a separate station for online pick up anymore & I'd have to wait in the 2+hours line to pick up item I've paid for & is now being held hostage!! I asked to speak to the manager, she said "we don't do separate pick up for online orders at this store." I asked have you been here long, she didn't look familiar. 10-11 months she said. I said this is horrible customer service & you need to rectify the way you treat online customers! She snapped this is how we do it now! I notified her I'd be contacting corporate offices & left. I contacted corporate offices & they shipped the item overnight, but that was still a sad resolution to bad online procedure & rude management!! read more

Shopped with James Avery at many locations. Always pleased with service and selection. Midland location is not included with that first sentence by far. The staff looked poor in appearance and had terrible attitudes and looked as if they just wanted to go home? Terrible! Courtney was inpatient and just short with poor service and lack of knowledge of the brand. Felt my daughter and I had more knowledge then she did? Must be a new staff member that doesn't belong in the customer service field? Like I said spent lots of time and money in other locations and always left happy and a few hundred dollars in beautiful jewelry. Not today, nor ever again from the midland location. So sad that a brand like JA has poor employees representing such a great brand! Hopefully someone at the corporate level reads this and makes some well needed adjustments to remedy the dire need of retrain or restarting of the midland location! read more
