A bigassfan...literally thats the name! Lol I did not go into the restrooms. But I saw a lot of added air systems so I dont know if the air was not working or it doesn't have central air. The big fan made my eyes water up sitting under it, so I stayed more towards the perimeter of the space. I can definitely see this being a space for 50ppl and under. Parking is available but the lines are not visible for all spots.

It was so nice being able to go into a TRENDY/ nice restaurant and be able to order what I want. I'm used to going to these quick, casual, vegan restaurants so it was refreshing. Parking is a little confusing and crowded but it wasn't bad. I believe their parking lot was like one building down but we found a parking spot pretty quick. We went in around 1:30 and I believe we just missed the brunch crowd but it was still a decent amount of people and I did not feel like people were sitting on top of us. We sat at the bar because we didn't have a reservation which I didn't realize that we needed one. Still not sure, but the bartender and all of the other staff were very pleasant. The food came out at a decent time as you can imagine with plant based food, and was delicious. The mimosas I had were amazing. Very different. Can't wait to take all of my non vegan friends. I am so happy to be able to say that!

My family of 5 visited Alchemy for Brunch…read more First, my wife and son waited 30 minutes for drinks, and when they arrived they were the wrong drinks. They both ordered iced Cinnamon Toast Crunch lattes, and both received a hot version thereof. As for the food, my daughter ordered her steak medium, and it was far overcooked. This is inexcusable - both to cook AND to present if you're a food runner - but she didn't want to make a fuss, so she kept it and ate half of it. In addition, the steak was butchered badly, with a far amount of unrendered fat. It's 4oz of strip, not an 18oz ribeye. Whoever was expediting should've had it recooked. Additionally, the fries were soggy, the eggs were far from over easy, the hollandaise was bland, and the steak-covering 'tomato aioli' (which looked or tasted like neither) just seemed a way to try to hide the mistakes with the steak. Please see the attached photos for documentation of her dish. The other food issue was with my wife's (beautifully plated) Japanese pancakes. When I've ordered these in the past - or made them, or even relied on the description in your menu - they've been light and fluffy. Generally, this is accomplished via folding in egg whites, which lends an airiness to the dish. Deflation is normally a concern, but not with yours. It was as though dense pancake batter was simply cooked in a ring mold. In terms of the service in general, it was subpar, to put it kindly. My eldest daughter never had her water refilled, and in general the waits were too long between checkups at each stage of the meal. And finally, the check. When the check arrived, it included three additional drinks beyond what we ordered. After pointing it out to the waiter, and him having it corrected, it still contained (contains, actually) an additional drink. Regardless, I went ahead and paid it, because everyone was annoyed and ready to go. Somewhat slow service I can understand, especially with the labor issues that have plagued service industries of late. I still tipped $22, because my wife and I both used to work in restaurants and understand that people should be paid a fair wage regardless. That said, a $170 breakfast - without alcohol - should be memorable... for good reasons. I'm giving it a 2, because the presentation was definitely instagram-ready. But it's been 5 days since I emailed them feedback, and not so much as an automated reply. So maybe even the 1 was undeserved...

Once inside, the space delivered. The outside terrace where we had happy hour was a highlight -- cute views of Charlotte and a nice sightline of Bank of America Stadium. Great spot to mingle before heading in. The interior was warm, temperature wise, but that's likely a seasonal thing with the heat still running. Minor and forgivable. The bathrooms were clean with one exception -- the full body mirror needed attention, which was a little disappointing for an otherwise polished space. Small detail but worth noting. Elevators worked without issue, which sounds like a low bar but matters more than people think for an event venue. Not sure how much of the equipment and staffing fell under the venue versus the event organizers, but the overall experience was enjoyable either way. It's a solid, attractive space for a nice gathering. Honestly I'd love to host something here myself. Would recommend for anyone looking for a venue with a nice Charlotte backdrop and easy accessibility.

My one hundredth review, brought to you by a two-time Lady Rockstar…read more First of all, ignore the shitty one-star review from the user who clearly doesn't get PML's mission, and hear out the point of view from someone who has done more than just one class at this organization and absolutely enjoyed her experiences here. I have done two Lady Rockstars classes, a women's weekend retreat and one of their many Girl Jams, all in the span of four and a half months! In doing so, I learned so much more than the music. These music classes don't just focus on the music, although learning the music is pivotal and the instructors here do a kickass job of teaching that (also they have Plugged In online classes that are totally affordable, if that's something you'd like to take advantage of). But another part of it is becoming empowered and learning to empower your other classmates. Also you build relationships with your classmates within the four weeks of your Lady Rockstars class, and you walk away having made friendships with some cool chicas. As a vocalist and performer, I've had experiences that were stressful, uncomfortable and super tense, even turbulent and volatile at times, and could not even enjoy the rehearsal process, as such awful atmospheres made it feel like work. Believe me when I say that PML offers a unique experience (and for some a therapeutic one), vastly different from anything else you've done. (No cattiness or bitchiness allowed here, either!) And for that, I am grateful and will thank Krystle a million times over. But don't take my word for it. Go down to PML, and check it out for yourself. Rock on!
