This review is solely on the customer service here because the drinks here are always so good. I've been here a couple times where the staff are just not personable or friendly and barely speak to you. Today I came in and I was the only one. A young lady came from the back and didn't say hello or even speak a word to me, just walked up to cash register and stared at me, so I stared back for a sec waiting to see if she would speak, and nope she didn't. So I placed my order and she asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes. She then walked away to start making my drinks and turned her head and said "you can get the receipt" meaning I can get it myself. She asked if I wanted a cup holder and I said no. She finished making my drinks and just put them on the counter and walked away, still no words. The name on my receipt said Mia but not entirely sure that's her as I didn't catch her name or if she had a name tag. I purchased the Vanilla Blue Sky smoothie today. I went next door waiting for my husband drinking my drink and noticed some sort of string like plastic pieces in my drink. I set them aside and then walked back and showed the girl who helped me. She said the plastic may have come from the new set of lids... didn't make too much sense to me since it was all in my drink. The girl made me a new drink and we left this time driving off to the next task today. I noticed my first sip more strings of plastic... I went to my friends house and strained the foreign objects out of the entire drink and it was filled with these pieces. The pieces were not of an organic substance and was hard to cut with a knife. They need to stop right away and figure out the issue before serving more drinks. I called the business and the girl who answered said she would let her manager know.... Sounds like a bigger issue. They accept digital credit cards like apple pay which is convenient. The only real downside during my visit was that the glass windows and door was like smudgy. Last 4 times I have been here there have been major supply chain issues. No milks, no orange sherbet, no peanut butter, no mixes, and no transparency. I would understand if the menu or a sign reflected what ingredients were missing, but it is irritating and frustrating to list 5 different menu items and be told a singular ingredient isn't available and the drink cannot be made. Only reason this isn't an one star review is because the young woman at the register was gracious and polite. Most Jambas are pretty consistent, as far as I've experienced. This is the one I am most experienced with because it's the closest to my home. It always seems clean during my morning visits. The employees are pretty good at greeting at this location. I appreciate the fact that the juice-tenders here still fill my cup to the top with wholesome goodness even though I ask for no ice. Other locations don't add more goodies to the drink to take the place that the ice does, and I've ended up with a little more than half of a filled cup. No me gusta. This store is located in a plaza (Torrance Crossroads) with numerous other businesses (a bank, a yoga studio, a Subway®, a vitamin store, Office Depot®, Vons®, and more) so parking can be very limited, especially during weekday lunch hours and weekends. I normally visit early in the morning when the majority of these other vendors are closed and parking is hardly a concern. I find it unfortunate that this Jamba Juice is at a convenient location near where I live because it's definitely the worse one I've been to. I've encountered three major issues when coming here. The first is that I wanted to use my gift card but then they told me that their register is malfunctioned and won't accept it. This means they either didn't bother turning on their second register or bother looking for another one in the storeroom and apparently none of the employees are trained on how to troubleshoot one (you'd think the manager would at least know how). That completely wasted my time and gas. The second issue was that I ordered a drink and there was a straw wrapper that got blended in my drink. Gross. The third issue was that I drove all the way over here cuz I was craving a specific item only for them to tell me that they're all out of ingredients to make it. WTH. My son ALWAYS orders a Medium White Gummy with Whey Protein. Every other Jamba knows when you order a drink with Whey Protein the order is supposed to be in a larger cup (The Next Size Cup) as the Whey causes the order to expand. This means that my order should have been given to me in a large cup. Nope! Not at this Jamba! I got it in a Medium Cup! Before I could get to the counter. The girl had given the container to the boy. It still had enough smoothie in it to make a kids size smoothie. She was supposed to give that to me in a large cup. Don't know maybe she can't read. My friend's daughter used to work at Jamba and she told me that it's says on the order receipt to put it in a larger cup when you add Whey to a smoothie. I've also even seen it on a receipt stating to put it in a larger cup. Again this place is ran by teenagers with NO ADULT SUPERVISION. They have no clue of what to do. There is always limited staffing and the drink orders are always messed up. Don't COME HERE! Go to Jamba on Hawthorne Blvd, in Redondo Beach, next to Panera Bread! I come here often for drinks since it's closest to me, but doubt that I will again. Tried to use my fundraiser card (had three people), and staff was adamant about a new policy about only one use per visit. It says that nowhere on the card, but maybe corporate policy did change. This wasn't the problem though. After asking for clarification about this new policy, the staff was very rude to my face, saying to the person in charge that they should "tell her boss." It was obviously loud enough and within earshot. The attitude is what really disappointed me, and I hope it changes for future customers. Also, they attested that the card was "tracked", so I couldn't use it as two different purchases for two different people. This is untrue, since Jamba's system of tracking the card is through a holepuncher, not a system swipe. read more
