We've been supporting this business for over two years now. But we can't support this business any longer. The food is EXCELLENT. The delivery service and customer service is horrible. Today after spending $70 on an order that was stolen and never delivered. Wehn I called to ask about my order, the restaurants representative was rude and unapologetic. I've had orders take 2 hrs for delivery, wrong orders, food missing, super small porition for alot of money. Just not what it was a little while ago. I would suggest picking up for food only. This family run business is absolutely amazing!! I tried it for the first time today, ordered beef patties, and their mac & cheese, which is homemade. The beef patties were so delicious! The food is delicious. I had jerk chicken with cabbage and mac&cheese. The pea & rice wasn't good. It was soupy but the cabbage and oxtail were delicious. The meats were very tender and full of flavor. The staff needs to be more people friendly. They really don't engage in eye contact, you can barely hear there replies. Never a smile. This gentleman asked are you going to smile today, she said no. You don't have to saw all 32 teeth but don't look like you just sucked a lemon. The ambiance is nice but could look better over time. For starters the opening hours are supposed to be noon on Sunday, they opened at 12:30 with only 2 sides available. The coco bread was store bought and there was not one bit of seasoning on the Mac n cheese or the brown stew chicken. The only thing my hubby and I enjoyed off of the plates were the plantains. On a road trip, trying to find a place with outdoor seating that allowed pets. We came off the exit expecting some crappy chain food, and then stumbled upon this little gem! We saw the Jamaican flag & excitedly pulled off to check it out. This place was so damn good and well worth stopping for. Laid back vibe, the owner was very friendly and hospitable, offered us a couple of different hot sauces. They even had juices from Kingston, Jamaica. I've never been to Jamaica, but this place tastes very authentic. We had the jerk chicken with two sides and devoured it all. Highly recommend! read more

Stayed the night in Perry on a road trip and found this place with the help of Yelp. The parking lot had one car and the tables were empty inside when we arrived just before 6. We talked to the owner about options (vegan) and he recommended the dishes for us and got to work. We took a table outside to wait and we watched car after car stop in here for take out. I had the veggie pasta which had awesome spices and taste. My wife had curry rice, cabbage, and an order of plantains. We shared a Jamaican soda (pineapple ginger) and tasted each other's dishes. I am so glad we finally have a good Jamaican spot in WR. Literally this place is amazing. The rice and peas are so freaking good. The rice has a good coconut flavor with a little spice and the seasoning is on point. The macaroni and cheese is homemade. Now to the best part the oxtails and jerk chicken!! Omg! The oxtails were good size and flavored really well. I got full before my plate was finished. The jerk chicken was just spicy enough and it was nice and tender. I cannot wait to go back. The man who answered the phone was very nice and respectful but there was a rowdy worker in the back being rude yelling "WELL WE'RE CLOSED!" even though the restaurant closes at 8:30. He then asks me what i would like to eat but I didn't even want to eat from there at that point. She shouldn't have been so rude. Delicious, flavor-packed, made to order Jamaican food in a little hole in the wall establishment off of the interstate. We had the brown stewed chicken, curry chicken and veggie plate. The cabbage was fresh cut. The plantains were perfection. Even the Mac n cheese was great. The owner knows what he is doing. Earlier today, I happened to find this restaurant through Google and decided to go there as I was kinda excited to eat the Caribbean/Jamaican foods for the first time in more than a decade. Somehow, I turned out to be extremely very disappointed in the SLOWEST service ever I have seen! In the lineup, I was behind the only 3 customers (including a couple). After the first customer was done with her order, the couple took their turn to order at the counter. While the couple was still at the counter, I waited for more than 10 minutes! This restaurant's service was WORST and SLOWEST ever that are UNACCEPTABLE! GROSS! Therefore, I walked out without any order and eventually dined at another restaurant. read more

I have to say that I have had better Jamaican food, but this was really good. There jerk chicken and curry goat could use a little more spice, but their stewed chicken was kick ass. Their cabbage and plantains were equally excellent. Their chicken was cooked so well that the bones had cracked and the marrow was oozing out of them. Super nourishing! We stopped in Perry on our way to Atlanta and we found this amazing, authentic Jamaican restaurant. It is what some would call a hole in the wall kind of place, not fancy on the outside or inside but it is clean. We got a lunch special of chicken curry with beans and rice, stir fry cabbage and a plantain for 5.99. The food was excellent and the price was perfect!! We were passing through on the interstate and wanted some local take out - we called 10 min ahead and they had our order ready when we arrived. I had the chicken curry which was FALL OF THE BONE amazing and incredible flavor in every bite!! The cabbage was also so well seasoned and really good. My husband got the jerk chicken and loved it!! It was so good that we stopped on our way home a second time and got the same plate again. And the 2nd time experience was just as good!! Wow! Found this place while driving home to Atlanta area after dropping over our daughter in college at the University of Tampa. Decided we were in no hurry so we stopped into this hole in the wall place based on the great reviews here. It did not disappoint! The lunch specials were amazing deals.
