The food is delicious. I had jerk chicken with cabbage and mac&cheese. The pea & rice wasn't good. It was soupy but the cabbage and oxtail were delicious. The meats were very tender and full of flavor. The staff needs to be more people friendly. They really don't engage in eye contact, you can barely hear there replies. Never a smile. This gentleman asked are you going to smile today, she said no. You don't have to saw all 32 teeth but don't look like you just sucked a lemon. The ambiance is nice but could look better over time. The food is delicious. The pea & rice had a bad day but the rest of the meal was great.

On a road trip, trying to find a place with outdoor seating that allowed pets. We came off the exit expecting some crappy chain food, and then stumbled upon this little gem! We saw the Jamaican flag & excitedly pulled off to check it out. This place was so damn good and well worth stopping for. Laid back vibe, the owner was very friendly and hospitable, offered us a couple of different hot sauces. They even had juices from Kingston, Jamaica. I've never been to Jamaica, but this place tastes very authentic. We had the jerk chicken with two sides and devoured it all. Highly recommend!

Food was okay. Terrible presentation and the rice has the texture of boil in a bag rice, not my personal favorite local Jamaican restaurant. I do like the spice that the oxtail has to them, but that's it.

I am so glad we finally have a good Jamaican spot in WR. Literally this place is amazing. The rice and peas are so freaking good. The rice has a good coconut flavor with a little spice and the seasoning is on point. The macaroni and cheese is homemade. Now to the best part the oxtails and jerk chicken!! Omg! The oxtails were good size and flavored really well. I got full before my plate was finished. The jerk chicken was just spicy enough and it was nice and tender. I cannot wait to go back. I'm thinking of going today to try the curry goat.

I went in to place a order and was told go back outside and call in.. I called in several times and no one answered. Fast forward to the next day I expressed how awful the service was on Facebook and received this message from the owners' daughter. **the second screenshot is what she messaged a friend of mine who also had an issue with the service rendered**

The jerk chicken had a great kick, which was exactly what I was looking for, and the rasta pasta slapped. It was creamy and flavorful. Honestly, the best side option, and I wish I opted for more of that. Better than the mac n' cheese, which I found to be alright. I have been to other places that include rice, but the meal here doesn't come with rice, so you have to choose it as a side. Not that it's necessary since there's rasta pasta right there. It's not a particular big place, but you can definitely eat here. When I visited, it was empty but busy because most people seem to opt for takeout here. I wish that the person at the front was a little more helpful with the difference between a medium and a large. I understand it's more food, but is the container bigger? Or is it another scoop or portion of meat? Does making it a large mean the sides are more too? I don't know, I was only told it was more food. I got the impression that I was being annoying, and I should hurry up and order, so I did. Not the best experience, so it's a good thing the food makes up for that.

My husband got the jerk chicken. His taste hadn't returned fully so he couldn't tell me if what he had was good or not lol. I however thoroughly enjoyed my oxtails. They were flavorful, tender, and the portion size was hefty. I ate off this plate for three days. I think the price point was average for Jamaican food. The rice and peas were good, but just a little greasy from the oxtail gravy. I also was hoping the rice would have a more coconutty flavor than it did. The Mac and cheese had a really good flavor, it was nice and cheesy and they had some kind of pepper in there. The greens were alright, about as good as you can expect for a restaurant, nothing like homemade though. I would definitely like to come back to try their jerk chicken and rum cake.

The food itself was nothing short of incredible. We both had jerk chicken plates and although their sauce has a kick to it I wouldn't say it was overly hot. I got the sauce on the side and ate it all. We will definitely be back.

Ordering a jerk tofu got me one of the more impressive renditions of such a dish I've ever seen, with ample sauteed vegetables and a sauce that delivered a robust, sweet and spicy flavor. The tea I got to drink was also sweet; I wish I had known that in advance as I would have just had water. I tried a coco bread (presumably with coconut milk in it), which was handy for sopping up my sauce but not anything that really jumped out at me. There were a few other vegetable dishes and an extensive selection of juices and Caribbean sodas, so plenty of ways to get the island flavor. This particular culinary tradition isn't all that easy to find in the U.S., so I was happy to have found it here.

My partner had the oxtail and said it was well-seasoned, super tender, and the portion was generous--though a bit on the pricey side. The cabbage was also really good--not the best we've ever had, but definitely solid. As for me, the rice and beans were just okay. The texture was a bit mushy and it lacked the bold, seasoned flavor you typically expect from Caribbean rice and peas. The mac and cheese, however, was a standout. Creamy, flavorful, and hands down one of the best parts of the meal--right up there with the cabbage. The brown stew chicken was good, but I've had better. It was tender, just needed a little more seasoning to really hit the mark. Felt like it was missing a little something. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and I'm definitely looking forward to trying more items on the menu!
