In our situation, we have a gutter issue that showed up when we had the recent monsoon rain. We're going to fix our gutters (clean them out) but will track a second issue (we also have an issue with the volume of our 2nd floor gutter pours onto our garage roof as the 2nd floor and the garage roof gutter handle the same volume of water which means that if we max out the 2nd floor gutter, the garage roof gutter will be overflowing). They also pointed out that they can fix issues with our porch setting (a common issue given that NC builder often throw all their trash under the porch then bury the trash when they finish their construction). There is an easy fix for that issue. Also, they can fix an issue with our cement driveway slab tilting though it is more expensive given the size of the slab. We'll address this later.

The most frustrating part was not the inspection failures themselves--it was the fact that I repeatedly had to manage the project for the company. Promised callbacks did not happen. Emails went unanswered. Managers failed to follow through. On multiple occasions, I was told someone would contact me, only to hear nothing and be forced to initiate contact again. When inspections failed, I often learned about the status only because I reached out myself. There were stretches of weeks with no communication despite repeated emails, phone calls, and text messages. I documented every interaction because the pattern became so predictable: promises were made, deadlines passed, and I was left chasing answers. Over the course of this project, I escalated concerns through multiple levels of management simply to obtain basic communication and updates. To be fair, Caleb and Chris Alfano were professional and helpful when I interacted with them. Unfortunately, individual employees could not overcome the larger organizational problems. The fact that this project remains unfinished after multiple remediation attempts and failed inspections says everything prospective customers need to know. I have spent countless hours following up, requesting responses, documenting conversations, and pushing this project forward. No customer should have to invest that amount of time and effort after hiring a professional company. The workmanship concerns were disappointing. The communication failures were unacceptable. The fact that the project is still not complete more than six months later is inexcusable.

After a water main leak, our drain tile failed and our finished basement was ruined. Our house was sitting on inches of water under the foundation slab, which had no way to drain because of our dense clay dirt. On the outside, Tiger C excavated all the way down to the slab, put in a new drain tile, water-proofed the walls, re-worked our guttering, and buried it all back. This was all done without permanently removing our porch, deck, or HVAC. On the inside, they cut a trench in the concrete basement slab and installed a six inch drain line from the center of the house to the exterior. Once opened, hundreds of gallons of water gushed out for several hours. Tiger C was very hard-working, friendly, and courteous. They were conscientious of our property and our needs. In the end we went with mold remediation, a sump pump, new vapor barrier, joist lifts, and air sealing to keep out the creepy crawlies. Big ticket expense, but when compared to the competition, we went with them because of the thoroughness with the estimate interview and the willingness to answer all of our questions, they were also well-spoken of on other review sites including a popular large community message board, and the price was pretty comparable. Also, the crew was very good. My only ding would be was not putting the items in the crawlspace back in the order that it was originally, which saved space. But to add to their credit, we have one additional project that needs to be done outside of Little Corner's scope and the new company took a look at Little Corner's work and said "They did a very good job, this is how we would have done it." I've read online that they do excellent work, but all they wanted to talk about was their competitors. If I had a nickel for every time I heard about "the other guys," I could possibly afford their newest "absolute best price we can do." Not a fan.
