All of the work looks just as good today as when it was newly completed. Jonathan closely supervises everything that's done to ensures that it is a consistently high quality at a very reasonable price point. His estimate was fair, and included replacing some rotted boards at no extra cost. Scheduled within days, showed up on time, worked all day. Did the work himself--no subcontractors. He just had his helper, Eduardo. He replaced even more rot than expected. Within a 2 days, the job was all done, my yard was clean, and I had beautiful new gutters. He even added more gutter guards to improve water flow. 100% satisfied.

They protected the windows and shrubbery from the old roof materials that were thrown down. My complaints: I was told they would charge me $75 per sheet of plywood that needed to be replaced. Interestingly, they bought 3 pieces of heavy-duty plywood (which does cost that much) and 5 pieces of lower-quality pressed board plywood (in which a substantially lower price would have been charged.) When I questioned the female employee who came after the crew left why that price for the low-grade quality plywood, her answer (and I kid you not!) was "for labor and clean up). Hmmm. Those costs were included in the estimate. Okay. The crew was ALSO SUPPOSED to go around my home with a large magnet roller to search for metal building materials (I.e., nails!) but never did that. Thankfully, I didn't have a flat tire as a result and a second contractor found several.

Following the installation of a new roof under warranty by Spilman, Inc. we had water damage to our…read morehouse caused by improperly installed shingles & lack of oversight & supervision of the job. Spilman tried to blame the homeowner for the problem but clearly no reputable roofer knowingly installs shingles so as to cause water damage. Spilman assured us several times both verbally & by texts that he would repair the damaged areas. He delivered the necessary) material which we painted ourselves to save him time & expense. He never did the repair work. After waiting several months for Spilman, we hired another contractor to repair the damaged areas. We posted our complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Except for several insulting texts to us from Spilman, the complaint went unanswered. Eventually Spilman stated in several texts to us his intent to reimburse us for the cost of repairs if we would then inform BBB of the resolution. We agreed to his extended time frame for payment & sent him the bill, per his request. As the deadline approached, we reminded Spilman of his commitment & again he texted his intent to pay. That deadline has passed & we have not received payment. Once again, Spilman did not stand behind his word, work or warranty. It has been a long & unpleasant experience. We would not recommend Spilman, Inc.
