Hold the pico de gallo and lettuce, added cilantro. OH MY GAWD, so good. Reasonable prices, huge burrito. They have a salsa bar with mild, medium and hot sauce/salsa, pickled jalapeño's, carrots, fresh limes and radishes. There are bottled beverages or Pepsi product fountain drinks. I didn't notice if there was beer or wine. Restaurant is small, extra clean, friendly customer service, food cooked and ready while I waited, I brought it to my hotel room. So good. This was a pleasant find on our road trip. Tiny taco shop with a very big menu. Cooler full of drinks including Jarritos, or fountain drinks. Plenty to choose from, combination plates, tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, burritos. My carnita and carne asada tacos held so much meat. These are very good tacos. The fish taco combo was also good, but try the carnitas tacos. They also have the requisite salsa bar with limes, radish, and pickled carrot. They advertise catering. I think that would be a smart choice for your next party. Service was quick and friendly. The bathrooms were immaculately clean. read more

It took me over two years living in K Falls to find many wonderful spots for great Mexican food. Jalapeños is a new fave. (Thank you, Marie!!!) This is the original strip mall hole in the wall across the street from Home Depot on South Sixth Street. When you want a quick lunch or dinner for around $10, this is a must do! You can call & dash in, just show up in work clothes for take out, or sit at one of their handful of the small ice cream tables. Fast and friendly. Great variety of creative entre options and really nice condiments bar. Don't miss the Jalapeño Chile Relleno burrito or dinner (greater even when you ask for green sauce), El Diablo shrimp burrito, or Carnitas tacos. read more

I was helping my younger son at OIT in Klamath Falls, Oregon, move his dorm stuff into summer storage. Packing up stuffs and moving them will build up an appetite. He suggested Jalapeños Taco Shop at opened on 2560 Campus Drive, just down the road from his school. Unfortunately, I couldn't find this location listed on Yelp do I posted on a listing that I could find. Hopefully, Yelp will listed this Campus Location soon. We got hungry college students around here. The food was delicious and generous. Well worth finding it Very clean indoor casual dining. Staff was friendly and helpful if you can't decide. I absolutely love this place. Sometimes I feel its bland but then again I cant eat salsa most days. I absolutely love the carne asada chips.

The carne asada tacos were good, but the beans and rice were cold. It was only $11 and I didn't die... I'll admit that it can't compare to San Diego food. If I didn't know better, I'd probably rate it higher. read more

Hands down best fish burrito in town ! Stopped here to grab something quick, the food was great ! The gal at the counter was super friendly, ( we didn't realize how late we stopped in, it was closing time). I apologized for coming in so late and asked if they'd like us to take our order to go. They let us stay and have our meal as they closed up shop for the night and couldn't have been nicer. I definitely recommend this place the portion sizes are almost intimidating but you feel like you get what you pay for. read more

I had high hopes for this one, everyone in town says it's their go to but if you like flavor and spice....you will be left wanting. I have tried this spot three different times thinking maybe I just got them on a not stellar day but alas, bland each time. Staff is friendly and quick but this spot is a miss for me. Ok, so now I've tried the other jalapenos taco shop. Two chile rellenos for 8.99. Big plate, lots of lettuce, sauce, and under all were two Chile rellenos. It was not bad, not great. I actually went to the truck in Merrill OR. They were super friendly and our food was delicious but not only that we had our 2 month old baby with us and the lady working said she would bring our food to our car so we could keep her warm. Service Food If there another Awesome Mexican food place in K-Falls, great! However I am NEVER disappointed coming here. I love their Chile-Relleno plate oh my. I can eat tacos, rice and sticky beans every day all day and this is my go to place, PERIOD. A friend recently suggested the shrimp burrito, again so good, so tasty with the shrimp, delicious cheese and rice, incredibly GOOD... it made two meals for me, that is one fat burrito. :) read more

I just recently moved from the Bay Area, CA and we are super picky when it comes to Mexican food. However, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The Carne Asada was not fatty, and their flavors were spot on. Came here on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. There was 1 person in line to order and 2 people waiting for food. Food was made to order and quick. I was concerned with the vegetarian burrito because a lot of Mexican places add lard or bacon fat to their beans but they assured me they did not have those beans here and they were purely blended beans with only salt added. The restaurant itself is small but adequate seating for the amount of customers they have (at least during dinner on a weekend night). The burrito was ok. Nothing to rave home about....just beans, rice, lettuce, salsa and guac (I could only finish half of it and couldn't taste the guac). Chips were fresh and warm. The homemade salsa was great. They also have a separate salsa/sauce bar. One plus was that they have Horchata! Rarely see that anywhere but my LA food trucks/local joints. It's super tasty and highly recommended! I am from LA and making my way back home after working in WA for 4 months. If I swing back through this town again, I'll return but prob just get a cheese quesadilla since the veggie burrito was uninspiring. I also like supporting local businesses when I can. Jalapenos is a little taco shop that's really popular with the locals. It's always clean, bright, and the staff is friendly. This location was/is so successful that they opened a second by Wal-Mart (also good). So, now you can get fast Mexican food on either side of town. We usually get the overstuffed burritos, but today my son and I went for the tacos. We each had a shredded beef one, which included a crispy shell (hand-fried), shredded beef, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. Very tasty. I also had the Adobada taco...this was fabulous. It was a very large portion of seasoned meat, guacamole, and fresh salsa on two soft corn tortillas. Both varieties were the same price, $2.25, but the second was a better buy just because of the quantity of meat! Yum. They have a little self-serve bar with sauces, marinated veggies, and whole roasted jalapenos and chiles (free, help yourself). They also have a large selection of flavored Mexican beverages, like Jamaica tea and Jarritos sodas. We enjoy the local taco trucks that park around town too, but Jalapenos is great to sit in out of the heat (or snow) and know everything is quality and clean. It's not spicy, so my kids really like it also. The spices are in the little cart for you to do yourself! Muy bien. read more

I first discovered Jalapenos when I lived in Klamath Falls. This was the first location they had and later they opened a second location on Washburn. I started going when I ate meat. I tried a variety of their burritos and was never disappointed. I love the salsa bar that includes jalapeno carrots, radishes, limes. The prices are very affordable too. On this recent stop, I got the Colorado burrito without beef. It was very tasty. The combination was rich and all the combos I want in a burrito. Although I can't eat too many of the carrots, I still have a few! If you are passing through or live in Klamath, you have to go here. Their tortillas are on point!!! read more

Every time I stop through Klamath Falls, I have to grab a burrito from Jalepenos! This place never disappoints, and is always quick and friendly. I normally get the vegetarian burrito, but also really like the Diablo burrito. Their salsa bar is always stocked with 3 delicious salsas, and plenty of jalepenos, spicy carrots, limes, and radishes. I always get the green salsa and a bunch of carrots to go along with my burrito. They also have a location near Walmart that is just as good as this location. Have been coming here since they opened (by Home Depot), but tonight was probably the last time. This location has a very difficult time getting orders right. Tonight we ordered a half order of chicken nachos (Gave us beef), a carne asada burrito with beans and rice (gave us the jalapeño special which includes guac and pico de gallo). This is probably the fifth time they have messed up our order in the last couple months. Last time I called the owner and she was very appreciative of my feedback and for a couple months they did improve. I'm pretty sure if I had called her again she would have made it right but enough is enough. I'll just take my business elsewhere or the other location by Walmart. read more

After seeing the reviews I decided to give this place a shot. In hind sight I simply should have gone along Hwy 97 found some road kill and scraped that up for dinner. This food is beyond awful. The fact that it has 4 stars leaves me to believe locals only eat local terrible food. The tortillas were cold dry and cheap. The beef is poorly flavored and is extremely poor quality. The chicken was basically pulled in hot water then douced in what looked like generic instant seasoning that you would buy in aisle 3 of Fred Meyer. I will never be back. read more

I wasn't expecting much from these guys as they looked a little too Americanized from the exterior but they delivered a very palatable adobada burrito and homemade chips & salsa. I don't think their food was much above standard cheap taqueria average, but it fit the bill for a quick bite after a long day of moving heavy stuff.
