    Lengua and asada tacos
    Alex L.

This review is long overdue considering that I've lived in K Falls for months and eat here (at least) once a week. In a town with many great taquerias, Las Morenas really does stand above the rest. It's family owned so service is always friendly and prompt. The prices have stayed reasonable despite all the grocery inflation and somehow their portions are still the best bang for your buck! And then there's the quality and taste. Their meats are all delicious but particular favorites are the carne asada, lengua, and al pastor. They pack so much flavor in and I've never had a bite that was gristly or overcooked. Three tacos is a very sizeable meal, but make sure you also ask for pickled carrots and jalapeños. I usually finish the meal with one of their delicious cinnamon cookies that are reminiscent of bizcochitos.

    Supreme burrito with chicken

We called in a dinner order before we were going to be passing through town on our way back to California. She said the burritos would be ready in 5 minutes, which was way faster than we expected, but we were 9 minutes away. It was a quick and easy pick up, as we walked in and the burritos were ready, so we paid and left pretty quickly. The burritos were tasty! Even amounts of the goodies inside, and lots of good chicken pieces (my dog approved, too.) The salsa was JUST mild and flavorful enough not to ruin the burrito for me, but if it was any spicier my mouth would have been burninnnggg! They put a lime on each plate with the burritos, and it helped to balance the spice. I pretty much demolished the whole burrito, though. My favorite part was the end where all the cheese was

Great tacos!!! Come on Tuesday to get the taco Tuesday deal. Today we got the chicken, asada, el pastor and carnitas tacos. 3 tacos is 7.50$ a steal for the plate of tacos you get. Our rating was the el pastor no 1., then chicken, asada and carnitas. But all are very very good!! Come and try the tacos you won't be disappointed.

    The huge asada burrito supreme.

My daughter wanted to get out of there the minute we walked in but I thought I'd check the guys working in the kitchen before we do. Everything looked clean back there so stay we did. Cleaned a table and ordered a carne asada burrito supreme, a wet carne asada burrito supreme, a cheese quesadilla, a Jarrito tamarind soda and mango juice at the window. For all that we paid less than $20. The nice young man manning the window then calls you out once your order is ready. The burritos were huge! Both were hot, flavorful and really good but I preferred the dry burrito. No complaints about the quesadilla either. Everything was good If you can overlook the dirty tables and floor, this is a good place for some Mexican food. It is a hole in the wall and the locals seem to love it.

These were some of the best sopes I've ever had I love hole in the wall places they are always the best and I will definitely be going here again and again

Hurts me to do this low rating because I was excited to try it. But I just can't. Sticky chairs, floors and walls with dusty fans and several flies wasn't exactly what I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, I love whole in the walls restaurants, the more authentic the better. But filthy is not the same as authentic. Now to the good...I'd be willing to do a 3 star if the food was amazing but the truth is, it wasn't. My sopes were too crunchy, hard to eat, stuffed with dry carne azada meat - very little flavor. Torta Suprema was pretty good. Kids burritos were giant. On the positive side at least the person cooking the food wasn't handling the money, the service was friendly.

What a gem in Klamath Falls - Excellent service, food and ambience!…read more Decided to have dinner at 7:30pm on Sunday night; Girasol is located at the southern end of "restaurant row/main street." Quiet background music lends to the friendly atmosphere, enhancing the Hispanic decor. Crispy warm chips with beans and salsa were brought out immediately. Our server took our drink orders, and had them at the table within 5 minutes. The margaritas we ordered were delicious, and generously sized. Our server answered our menu questions so we could decide on our meal. We decided to try the albóndigas and side salad to start, and split the Fajitas Gigante. Albóndigas comes in 1 size, approximately 12 oz of a tasty tomato based broth and 4 hand-formed meatballs, roughly 1.5 inches in diameter. There were carrots, too, but no other vegetables. I'm used to a heartier version from a different region, so for me, the soup was unexpected. The broth and meatballs had a very nice flavor, though, so still worth a taste! The side salad consisted of chopped iceberg, some tomato, and shredded cheese. It was bigger than I anticipated, so that was a pleasant surprise! The fajitas came out on a sizzling, cast iron platter, looking and smelling amazingly good! I'm sorry I forgot to take a photo. My husband and I split a single order, and ended up bringing half of it back to the hotel. It tasted delicious. Everything was well seasoned, though the carnitas was a little too wet for my liking. (It was more like a pulled pork sandwich consistency, without any smoke bark.) That's just a personal preference, though. What was so great about the platter was that each protein had a distinct flavor! I've had mixed protein platters where everything tastes like it was seasoned with the same bottle of pre-mixed spices, and this is NOT that. The carnitas was subtle, and contrasted with the steak, which differed from the chicken. The shrimp was different from all of it, with more of a citrus and garlic profile. We were too full to order dessert, so we'll have to return on our next road trip!

Extensive menu with lots of options to satisfy anyone's cravings. Yummy chips with salsa and bean dip were served with our beverages. Only real miss of our visit was the fairly terrible iced tea my husband ordered, but they made it right by removing it from our check and replacing it with a tall glass of ice water. I enjoyed a Modelo Especial chelada style in a chilled glass. ¡Perfecto! He ordered creamy enchiladas and I opted for a mixed ceviche tostada and chicken flautas. Everything was delicious and plentiful enough that we took leftovers to go and enjoyed them for dinner once we got home. Will gladly return whenever I find myself back in K Falls!

We asked to sit on the patio and it was perfect and pretty with flowers. The music was loud and we asked them to turn it down and they did so promptly and the music was a great accompaniment. They brought out chips and salsa which we devoured. The salad was not your average boring salsa. It had flavor and originality. Quesabirria tacos are my favorite food and so my husband agreed to eat some since it comes with 3. I did ask for the consommé as well. DELICIOUS!! The flavors were an explosion of celebration in my mouth!! The cheese was that perfectly melty and tasty Mexican cheese I love and the meat was savory, hot and tender. They tacos were so fresh and hot that I had to wait to eat them for a bit. The fresh cilantro, lime and rice was a perfect addition. M husband got the carne asada tacos, and it was also super fresh and delicious. My only non-positive is that the margarita was too sweet and maybe used a sweet and sour mix rather than just triple sec and lime with a hint of agave. The staff was soooo friendly and also let us know what was in the consommé that made it so special. If we had stayed here longer we would have gone back for the chilaquiles for breakfast! Thanks for an amazing meal and friendly service!
