I havnt been back here in so long but I went to Jake's and got the Gilroy pizza, a burger and wings. The wings were so good and I usually don't like wings at all! The Gilroy pizza was delicious especially with a side of ranch but I did not taste any garlic in it... Overall a good meal! Staff were all nice and the ambiance was loud and fun!

Went to try Jake's Pizza in Saratoga for the first time to celebrate a small birthday dinner with a group. The restaurant is a nice and cozy inside with lots of booth seating and regular table seating. You order at the register and they give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Service was friendly. We got the large gilroy special pizza, 10 piece bone in wings flavored with frank's red hot sauce, and a bbq bacon burger. Everything tasted pretty good and it was a good spot to chat while eating.

Solid pizza spot with a large parking lot. Nice employees and quick service. Their pizza is consistently good - love their bbq chicken and garlic chicken. Bbq chicken has chicken, red onions, and pineapple - it's perfection!

I ordered a garden salad with ranch, and a build-your-own individual pizza containing; pepperoni, ham, green bell peppers, and mushrooms with red sauce and extra cheese. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasted good. The crust on the pizza is a good crispy type and it's not too thick or too thin. Their service was pretty fast. I know this is a classic casual Saratoga staple and they've maintained quality over the years too based on my food I had from them today.

5 Stars 5 Hearts The " pizza people of San Jose" aka my family, lol have just visited Jake's for the first time and Loved this pizza!! It was tasty with crunchy flavory crust what more can you ask for! We had a great experience and look forward to getting back there soon for more delicious PIZZA!! We warmed up with a few good beers from Russian River and Seattle, with tasty hot onion rings to nosh. Staff and service were friendly, warm and delivering a great product and experience for our family. The ambiance is pizza parlor fun with sports games playing on multiple screens, good beer poured at the bar and family filled tables all around. Large parking lot - ez. Great place for family and friends outing and to see your next favorite game with great food. Thank you!

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Chef's kiss Always friendly staff, a jovial family pub vibe and pizza that sends you straight to heaven. The sauce to cheese to toppings ratio is beyond perfect, and I've never had a bad pizza here. I swear by the pizza here so much, that I don't think I'll ever taste anything else on the menu in this life. Still in food coma the morning after!

Used to come here a LOT 10+ years ago when I worked nearby... recently went back to work, so here I am again! Their Caesar salad has good flavor and crunch - a lot of dressing, so if you don't like a lot of dressing, ask for the dressing on the side or ask for it to be lightly dressed. TBH, I liked the old style of zucchini STICKS instead of coins better... but their fried zucchini is still quite yummy and recommended too. They now have online ordering (much easier for me than phone!). I do also enjoy that they have a nice patio area if you feel like sitting outside or have a larger group (and can call to reserve it too!)

    SO SAD LOOKING

First time and last time here. Ordered the steak sandwich for $21. It was flavorless and it tiny. Probably less than six inches. Do better Jake's. See photo.

Jake's is part neighborhood bar and part family restaurant with pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. It is larger portions and guilty-pleasure food. We stopped in mid-afternoon and both ordered the fish sandwich (fried halibut) and lemonade. You order at the counter and the food is then brought to you. The gentleman staffing the register was very friendly. Though fried, neither the fish nor the French fries were greasy. The sandwich contained a very large piece of fish that had a mild flavor. It was a juicy sandwich. The fries were hand-cut style. It was all very good. It wasn't healthy or something I could eat often, but for a classic done right, Jake's was the place.

Recently we came back…read moretwice, once on Sunday as I forgot that the paella was a Friday thing, so the staff told me that they usually have paella and clam chowder freshly cooked on Friday. They happened to have a small tub of Friday clam chowder left for sale, for a whopping $16! That price dropped my rating to a 4 star. Service is still 5, but man, the value proposition isn't as high as before. The clam chowder tasted good, creamy and all, but $16 for that is really hard to swallow. The store itself is clean and sells a variety of meat products and imported goods such as from Italy. We came again on Friday evening, at 5pm exact and saw the paella pan laid outside with some amount of paella piled up. The pan felt cold and we were confused if they haven't started cooking or those were the left over. So we went inside to ask and they said the paella was available starting at 5pm, so what's on the pan was cooked. We bought 1 portion, which feeds 2-3 and it came in two 16 oz tubs. For $35, it fed my husband and myself just right. The smoky flavor was on the rice with meat and lots of clams and mussels (but not those fatty mussels that you saw in the Belgium style dish). $35 for dinner of two is not as bad value as the $16 bowl of chowder. So overall, 3.5-4 stars for food and value, 5 stars for service and friendliness.

The menu is kind of simple: your choice of meat, which you can get as a sandwich or a plate. Unfortunately, they were out of kabobs when we went, which was my first choice. I went with the chicken schnitzel as a plate because I was interested in the various salads. I chose rice instead of fries, and they gave me a ton of rice! Everything was made to order. The schnitzel was pounded flat and delicious. I liked a lot of the side salads, including one that was red cabbage-based. I bought something similar at the market - hoping it tastes as good. This place is not fancy on the inside, with long group tables, but there were a lot of people coming in either eating lunch there or grabbing it to go. I enjoyed what I ate and will want to come back and try something else next time (hopefully the kabobs).

We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. They offer a variety of rice balls with fillings like spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and unagi, making it a great option for a quick breakfast or light meal. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.
