Great food if you're looking for burgers and fries--which I was. The burger is cooked over a real grill--you can taste the charcoal yumminess. The French fries are those type that seem battered. I don't know what they call them, but they're awesome. I was looking for cider, and the bartender said they had a veteran-made apple pie. That became dessert!!!! Man, was it good. The theme is divey biker bar, which is awesome, IMHO. Everyone was friendly and well behaved, so I love that laid-back vibe. There are always upcoming big events, but when those aren't happening, they play country music, have a pool table, plenty of TVs, and even outside games. I always love to find a local hole in the wall spot on my travels and this week was no different. While out trail riding we came across Jake's and decided to stop in for some lunch. It was quite busy even earlier in the day. We found a spot and quickly ordered some burgers, wings and such. Service was friendly and we settled in to enjoy the live music and people watch. They have a couple of TVs above the bar and a bit of outside seating as well. This seems to definitely be a stop for bikers as we saw many. Food was a bit slow to come out, but fries were crispy and burgers great. I loved the Jake's Burger with the green chilis. It added a great kick. Jakes's is a Harley biker's dive bar. If that is what you are looking for, I guess it's OK. But as a place to stop and have lunch, it's not much. Food and Service get one star. They are very SLOOOOOW even though they were barely busy at all. Prices ridiculously high for what you get. Waitress took our drink and food order and then disappeared. After waiting for 20 minutes our food started to arrive, one entree at a time, every 5 minutes or so. But no drinks. The guy bringing the food is the cook! We asked about our drinks and he literally said "I don't do the drinks you have to talk to someone else." We asked for our waitress, and he said she left for the day. No explanation! Weird. Food was OK at best. But total for burger and a Coke was $28 total. Crazy. Might be fine if you want a few Budweisers and to hang out drinking with your Harley Davidson clad motorcycle buddies, but a definite pass if you are looking for an actual restaurant. read more

My experience here was not great there's roaches in the walls on the tables , Just everywhere. Absolutely disgusting how is that not against the health code ?? The drinks cost twice as much where as a few miles up the road I can get a draft beer for 3$ but at Jake's it costs me 7$. The bartenders a tweaker and the owners a real c u next Tuesday. Wow! Haven't been here in a few years. Lots has changed. The bartender (owner) was not friendly, welcoming or even attentive. We sat at the bar and there were only a few other customers in the whole place. We ordered a burger, wow.. dry, old and it smelled weird. Took one bite and I was done. I didn't order anything else, no thanks! My girlfriend ordered the wings and she said they were over cooked and tiny, especially for the outrageous price. Loved the ambiance and look of Jake's Corner and everyone was friendly enough. The server made a fresh pot of coffee for us and that was really nice. I was a little confused when we ordered and were given a restaurant pager like you'd get at Olive Garden to let you know your table is ready. As we were walking around and looking at the decor, I guess it went off cuz a regular let us know. What we didn't know was that we had to go out back where the kitchen is to get our food! Sadly the food was just mediocre. My guy's chicken fried steak was beyond salty, so much so that he only ate a couple of bites. The potatoes were lacking in seasoning and the sausage tasted a little odd, not terrible just odd. My guy thought the gravy was good but I thought it was bland. My over easy eggs were cooked to perfection. Biscuits were good too. Not sure if I'd go back. There's another place down the road a bit heading towards town that I'll probably try if we come this way again. read more

Saturday my Mom my Wife and my self stop by this Restaurant Bar. We love the front and the inside of this place, do when we started to check the Menu we discovered that we have place the order at the bar and they provide us with a pager. We order 2 Jakes burgers and he's ordered of wings which we thought it was a Bravia pricey $20 for an order like that but we were expecting maybe it's gonna be a big order or surprise was it look like a very small bird wings, the kitchen was dirty, grease, falling from the ceiling, a bit disgusting, to be honest. read more

It was our first trip to Scottsdale and we rented Harleys for a drive. They recommended this as one of our spots. I love local diners and this one has a great history of 100 plus years. We only had a few drinks and a basket of fries as we had just had breakfast before starting our ride , but everything we had was good. They are known for their cheeseburgers and we saw plenty of those being served. Sandwiches, diner fare, fun atmosphere. And they still wave the Trump flag proudly! Stopped here after some trekking and was looking for a quick bite. It being 12:45 and over an hour from the valley I stopped here. This is a great place to stop while riding the Roosevelt Lake loop from Mesa, Jakes, Globe. Burgers are good and beverages are cold.

Poor quality food that we waited over an hour for after ordering. Food was cold with parts of most orders missing. Terrible decision to come here. The slow service we received wasn't isolated to our group as we heard others complaining to staff about the more than an hour long wait after ordering food. It wasn't particularly busy. Once our food was "ready" we received barely warm hamburgers with unmelted cheese and stale buns. We had five at our table and only two received their fries, which were cold and appeared to be one order split in two. When we brought this to the attention of the cook we were told they were out of fries. We saw the same situation at other tables. They eventually offered a bag of chips to each person that did not receive fries as a consolation; the other two were stuck with cold fries. This was not done with a smile and an apology; but, more so with an appeasement attitude. With communication they likely could have averted the entire situation. The cook could tell the bartender, who takes the order, that they were out of product and the approximate wait time when it's unusually long. Then the bartender passes that information to the customer upon ordering and the customer knows what to expect. Instead, we received the run around ("talk to the cook" and cook says he can't help us, "talk to ...."). This doesn't solve the issue of serving cold food or partial meals for which you took our money and then offer an oh well that's what you get explanation. This was my third or fourth time here and it was decent in the past, so I know they can do better. Looks like my last and hopefully others won't make the same mistake I did. read more

This little gem of deliciousness is a must try if you're in the area. Staff was friendly, drinks were great and food was freshly made when ordered and super tasty. Definitely try the Pig Wings if you can and the burgers (I'm still drooling) are delicious with a variety of toppings you can add. Fries are everything you've ever wanted in a fry, crunchy and fresh. Cool bar if you want drinks. Don't recommend the food. Asked what their soup of the day was and she said cheese potato soup. I asked if there was any meat and she said no. It was served, took a bite and felt something chewy. Had bacon all in it. When I took pieces to show her she said there's no meat in it. When she walked away the cook came out (end of his shift) and said he doesn't make the soup but went back and asked the person who does and came back and said, "yeah there's bacon." Not to mention the soup wasn't even hot. Come for drinks, skip the food. Plus side, they didn't charge me for it. read more

This is a great quick stop or destination. We were last there on Sunday about 11am. Always good drinks but I need to mention the French toast. Oh my. The menu doesn't detail how it's made but when it was served we dug in and couldn't believe how luscious it was. We asked and it turns out the chef does a quick deep fry on the toast and whatever batter they use makes it melt in our mouth. Sooooo good. Just another reason to drop by Jake's Corner. read more

Can you believe it was my first time! 12 hungry bikers show up at at bar for breakfast...The platter was just right. A sausage patty, hash browns, eggs, 1/2 biscuit with yummy chunky sausage white gravy and either a well drink OR a really good Bloody Mary. ALL this for a mere $5.00! Service was excellent, although we were the only ones in the place, the waitress was very nice, friendly, accurate and casual with us. Restroom was clean and spacious.
