The children learn effortlessly as the learning is done organically through changing monthly themes, pracical life activities, class pets, gardening, crafts, parties, play, music, cooking and so much more. The children are always treated with such great respect, respect for their needs, their differing personalities, their learning styles, and their health. Ms Virginia is a true leader and the children all reciprocate respect back to her. I wholeheartedly believe this was the best possible place for my son, and I only wish I found it sooner so I could have started him there earlier. They never made him feel unwanted and I never worried about him not being looked out for. #4: So many fun dress up days, water days during the summer, the cutest winter recitals and a great park! #5: Just the right amount of programming placed on math, reading writing, and we would get assessments on our sons progress and where his strengths were/where he needed work. As a busy family with full time jobs we don't have a ton of time to get a head start on education so he can start Kindergarten with confidence. Little Flowers is doing that for us. #6: The price is fair, it's right around where everyone else is priced, in fact, when I was shopping for child care, this place was the most affordable in Vacaville, other than in home daycares. That first meeting really stuck with me, and it made me feel good about choosing L&P Montessori for my son. Ms. Norma, Ms. Karima, and Ms. Ava have been amazing. They go out of their way to make every child feel comfortable and cared for. My son can be a handful; he's energetic, can be wild at times, and is very selective about the people. They have been nothing but patient and kind with him. I want to comment about Ms. Jackie because I recently saw a negative review about her, and it made me really sad to see what was written about her. It's tough to see something like that written about someone, knowing that words like those can really hurt a person's character and reputation. I've never seen any of the behaviors mentioned in the negative review but only kindness from Ms. Jackie, even the times I would drop off my son and didn't know I was there. She's always sweet and patient, especially with kids who are having a rough morning. My son is talkative and not afraid to speak his mind if something's wrong. If there was ever anything off, my son would be the first to tell me if Ms. Jackie was not nice. Even in the older kids' classrooms, the staff and teachers are friendly, nice, and acknowledges you during drop off/pick-ups. It's a place where I know my son is safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. I'm so glad we found Learn and Play Montessori.

I found Zerghon's daycare after interviewing several other providers. I was impressed with the Yelp…read morereviews and the overall structure of the program she offers. We agreed that my son would start right after his first birthday and I was very excited and hopeful that we would be a good fit. My son was born during a pandemic and has some anxiety being away from mom for too long because he's so used to being at home...but he generally does well. On his first day, he did relatively well and I got photos of him engaging with the other kids and napping. On his second day, after being there for an hour, I got a call to pick my son up because he was crying. The assistant said they checked him for fever and that he was fine but then went on to say that they just didn't think he was a good fit for the program. She then proceeded to say that my application was cancelled and wanted to know if I wanted my payment back in cash or money order. No plan to work with him to help him transition, no concern for if there was an underlying issue, no nothing. Just come get your baby and don't bring him back because he is crying. I'm just so disappointed, hurt and offended at the idea that a 12 month old baby gets kicked out of daycare on his second day for crying for an hr. Especially when Zerghon herself told me how other kids in the program had hard transitions and ended up working out over time! I mean, isn't that a typical process for babies? What makes my baby different? I can't help but think there is other motivating factors at play here. My baby fell asleep in the car while we were driving home by the way. He was crying because he was tired.

Its normal to be a little worried having your child out during such crazy times but they have a cleaning crew that comes in to clean which I can tell makes a difference. I thought the smaller playground would be a negative but it seems to actually help the teachers see and interact with the children more. My son mentions the outdoor play as one of his favorite times. The majority of the teachers have been there for over a decade (some twice as long!) And during the graduation multi-generation families spoke about the school; that just shows you how well known and loved this school is by the community.
