This iconic fruit stand is a true South Florida institution. From the moment you pull in, it feels like stepping into a charming, old-school roadside market bursting with color and character. Crates overflow with vibrant tropical fruits, the air smells sweet and fresh, and the whole place has that nostalgic, family-run charm you just don't find everywhere anymore. The mamey milkshake is my go-to and hands down my favorite. It's unbelievably thick, creamy, and packed with rich tropical flavor. One sip and you'll understand why it's legendary. Beyond the milkshakes, they carry incredible local honey, homemade sauces, unique jams, fresh shallots, beautiful vegetables, and perfectly ripe fruits. The exotic fruit selection alone is worth the trip. you'll discover varieties you didn't even know existed. What makes it even more special is that Robert himself is often there, still working and interacting with customers. It adds such a personal touch. Everyone on staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. Don't skip the back area, there's a small petting zoo where you can buy feed and interact with the animals, which makes it a fun stop for families and kids. It's more than just a fruit stand . it's an experience. A must-visit South Florida classic.

Instead, we left with a smashed rental car window, 1,500 dollars in stolen valuables, and a ruined vacation. Our car was broken into while parked directly in front of the property -- in plain sight. We weren't even there for 15 minutes. When we asked about security camera footage that might help identify who did this, we were told the cameras don't work. Let that sink in. A high-traffic tourist destination with non-functional security cameras and apparently zero deterrent for criminals who clearly know this area is an easy target. This isn't a random isolated incident -- this is a known problem and the owners have done nothing meaningful to protect their customers. Working cameras, security presence, adequate signage warning visitors of the risk -- none of it. Just a cute fruit stand with a dangerous parking lot and zero accountability. (To be fair, the employees seemed remorseful, and gave us some trash bags and tape to cover the window.) Save yourself. Buy your fruit somewhere else. No smoothie is worth what this visit cost us.

Many restaurants do an up charge for breakfast after a certain hour. I asked for eggs at 11:40 am and the manager said she couldn't make them for me. I didn't have appetite for lunch at that time so I drank coconut water for breakfast. :/ I love that the owners made a place for families and people to meet and take the kids. I am not a fan of keeping animals enclosed so anything to give them more space or land would be a plus for the animals. I'm also not a fan of seeing animals used to carry people and pretty much labor, they have no choice, they are captive and also have to work restlessly. The roads would be much better if they were paved as opposed to dust. It would make the experience a little more clean. The decorations could use a fancier upgrade. Either way it seems a lot of people enjoy the place. It's not a place I would frequent too often.

We had breakfast--steak, eggs, hot Cuban toast with butter, and café con leche--and we were stuffed by the time we left. Absolutely delicious. There's also a small, kid-friendly playground further into the property that requires a fee to enter, but we didn't check it out this time--maybe next visit. Head over to By Brothers for breakfast. It's amazing!

I am a bit disappointed in the "farmer" aspect of this market. There seems to be only 1 main produce vendor and their prices are way too similar to Publix and some items are even more expensive! The produce selection doesn't have any real gems except for the lychees. Those are sold by multiple vendors and at a very good price! Sadly, the produce aspect of the market is underwhelming and defeats the real purpose of a farmer's market. HOWEVER, the product stalls are full of really nice gems. The best one is the fresh ceviche truck. $5 gets you a very generous portion of fish ceviche. It is super fresh and well seasoned. The kettle corn found at another stand is that perfect sweet and salty marriage that only the best of snacks can achieve. The fact that it is made in small batches with a lot of attention to detail is very evident! The arepas are really great! Not your standard fair food - these are authentic arepas that can be stuffed with a variety of options like pork or veggies and not just cheese. There is also a brick oven pizza stand. The pizza is very thin crust and good if eaten right away. Took leftovers home and they did not fare well at all :( Really liked the pooch perks booth. They have homemade treats and toys for your pets and the owners were very nice to my little boy. Market also has the follwoing stands: smoothies, Indian curries, asian fruits, gelato and some clothing and handmade creams. I'll go back for the finished food products, not the produce. Most vendors take credit cards, but have cash on you as well.
