BEST Doc I have ever seen... and I am an RN of 30 years. I'm pretty particular. I only wish she could be my PCP

In what universe did you think your replacement was a competent doctor? You lied period and you…read moreshould have given me options but you did not. I am sure you were wanting to leave the practice fast but at the expense of your patients.

I had a terrible experience during my visit with Dr. Christopher and would not recommend her. She…read morewas working with a student who was very compassionate, but I think our appointment was set up for failure when she had her student take my history, then got my history from him out in the hall, and then came into the room making really scary recommendations without asking me for any information or asking me how I felt about the fact that she was suggesting radical surgery. I have a confirmed diagnosis that does have symptom overlap with other conditions. Dr. Christopher told me that because of my previous surgeries my current symptoms could not be caused by my known condition, when in fact, studies have shown that it happens in 15% of women. She seemed really determined to make another diagnosis, even though the conditions she suggested aren't a good fit for my symptoms and the symptoms I have are known to be caused by my confirmed condition. She also pressured me to get a CT scan the same day. She was very dismissive when I told her what I know about my own body. I have been struggling with severe pain for many years. I felt frustrated and emotional during the appointment and instead of showing compassion, Dr. Christopher just started talking more and more quietly. I was not being rude or unreasonable, I was just upset and didn't feel heard and her response felt condescending. I felt like I was being treated like an hysterical woman. She tried referring me to 2 surgeons. When I told her I wanted to work with someone to talk about all options and not just surgery, she made a third referral. Given that I have to drive 6 hours round trip for these appointments I asked if a phone consult was possible. She stated it was not because the quality of care is dependent on doing a complete physical examination. It was amazing she could say that to me with a straight face given that she didn't examine me at all. I'm in a tough position and trying to find help. The way that Dr. Christopher treated me was discouraging to say the least, and completely inexcusable.
