So yummy. Parking was a nightmare but the pizza was worth it. We are traveling and picked up to go…read more The inside was nice and looked like a perfect date night spot. I wouldn't have brought my kids here. The lady who grabbed my order was lovely too. Highly recommend. Parking is HARD to find. We ordered a margarita pizza, lame kids cheese pizza and salad. The salad was so fresh!!!! The margarita pizza I inhaled it was so delicious. My picky kids approved of the cheese.

Not my first time here, but it is my first review for them! This is really good pizza! (Is there…read morebad pizza?) very traditional, thin, Neopolitan style crust. Not huge, but two or three people could enjoy. (6 slices cut) I wanted to try something different so we got two and boxed the rest. Shelby greeted and seated us, and although she lacked a little knowledge on the beer menu, she made up for that with a trip to the bar to investigate our questions on sour beer, and came back with two excellent samples! We settled on a Dr. Robot and the Charcut-a-pie. I loved the toppings and balsamic drizzle. Goat cheese and arugula just go together. A little honey and I was in heaven! The crust on this one was a little well done, which disappointed but, the overall flavor was on point. Next, we sampled the Spicy Italian. I'm usually pretty good with spicy things, and while this was no exception, it did have both of us in a small sweat! If you are averse to spicy, stick with something else. This crust was also cooked and not over done. I'm not sure what McDonoughs' obsession is with vaults, but it seems to be a recurring theme around the square. You'll find vaults or at least doors that look like vaults all over. The rest of the decor inside and outside was well done. Exposed brick gives it immediate rustic charm, while black floors, raw wood art, and leather stools wrap the package nicely. I definitely like their lighting! Oversized bulbs hung around the pizza oven bar (which you can sit at if there's space) and giant hoop rings finish the rest of the space. It isn't that glaring light that spotlights your table, it's just a nice warm ambient light that makes you wanna pour a vintage red into a wine glass over and over. Oh! I almost forgot, they do have an outdoor patio up front, so on those less humid days and nights, I'll definitely be hanging out there!

Unfortunately, I can't review the food or drinks because we never had the opportunity to enjoy…read morethem. I was planning to celebrate my daughter's birthday with a party of eight and called ahead to ask about seating. I was told that reservations were not typically required. When I asked about the larger table in the back, I was informed that reservations could be made for that specific table, but they needed to be requested a week in advance. Since the birthday was only a few days away, that wasn't an option. The person I spoke with encouraged me to come in anyway, explaining that Sundays around 3:00 p.m. were usually not busy. I stopped by around 2:00 p.m. to inquire in person. After contacting the owner, the staff member informed me that I could reserve the table by emailing the owner and paying a $50 fee. What was frustrating was that the restaurant was completely empty at the time. It was difficult to understand why we would need to pay an additional fee simply to sit together and spend money at the restaurant, especially when the larger table was the only one that could accommodate our group. The most disappointing part was having to take our celebration elsewhere. I also felt bad for the server, who appeared to have very few customers and lost the opportunity to earn a gratuity from our party. I had hoped to support a local business and celebrate my daughter's birthday there, but the seating policy ultimately prevented us from doing so.

Don't be like me and get a smaller one. I promise you should go big; it's definitely worth it! Now the food wasn't my favorite but basic bar foods for sure. Food is necessary because the drinks flow! I will definitely be a returning customer.
