    Called to order a part, the person I spoke with was unprofessional. He said he can't help me and hung up. Very rude and unprofessional

    Incorrect pricing rude service...when I went back to ask to check why I had been charged for an…read moreitem that was marked 24.99 underneath it on the shelf, I found a similar item to try to price check, but it was also miss marked and miss tagged if I had wanted to play a complete secret shopper, I should've been able to insist that they price adjust, but the treatment was so poor it was obviously not something they were willing to accommodate. I wasn't even looking for an actual refund if the price had been charged correctly it took them so long to show me that it was charged at a higher price than what I had seen on the shelf that the whole experience left. A really bad vibe ...not only did they not offer any kind of adjustment but treated me like it was my problem from the get-go. None of the prices match the items on the shelf, employees were slow strange unhelpful told me they didn't even know their return policy... this is not the first time the store has been this way. For 20 years it's my least favorite parts store but for some reason, I stopped there thinking I could grab something and have it be easy. Not the case. O'Reillys is much better, friendliness and customer service plus managerial support of a struggling employee goes a long way and I did not see any of this today. If you're the kind of bro they like you probably will have a good experience, if you're any other type of person, it is TBD. Would never send anyone here now as a friend of mine told me upfront he has problems with it all the time as well and I chose to go anyway. This time I won't forget.

    Engine light on..again…read more Early Sept 2025 I was driving to downtown SB from Goleta when I noticed the engine light was on. I called Oren's Automotive to schedule an appt. to determine the problem. The following week I went to Oren's and they diagnosed the problem to the EGR vacuum modulator and ECR relay. Both parts were replaced and the engine light turned off. A week later the engine light came back on. Scheduled another appt. end of Sept. Further diagnostic testing revealed the ECU computer required replacing. ECU was replaced and engine light & error codes no longer showing. Early Dec called Oren's for smog check and Oren's got me in immediately. Smog cert received just in time to renew my registration before it became past due! Thank you Oren's Automotive!! A couple of days later however the dreaded engine came back on - huh?? It was determined the ECU replaced end of Sept. was faulty. New ECUs are no longer available and only used ECUs can be purchased. Due to the lead time of the ECU to arrive at Oren's and other factors, the ECU was replaced end of Dec. It is now the second week of January 2026 and no issues so far! From early Sept to Dec 2025 Oren's Automotive performed exhaustive diagnostic trouble shooting and test drives which amounted to considerable time. I was not billed accordingly for the labor hours put towards my antiquated 2001 Toyota. Now I know Oren's Auto lost money fixing my car - they did this so I wouldn't be without a car. I offered to pay for some of the costs on two occasions to make sure things were right, but my offers were refused. Oren Glasman, owner of Oren's Automotive, stands by his shop's work. Oren is fair, honest and truly cares about his customers and when someone is in trouble with their car. I posted a previous review of this automotive repair shop on July 31 2024. The Santa Barbara area local weekly magazine has named Oren's Automotive the Best Automotive Repair shop for 2023, 2024 & 2025 based on annual voting for 'Best Of' the Santa Barbara area for different categories (food, breweries, auto repair, clothing etc.) A huge thank you once again to Oren, Eric, Gilbert and the rest of the team at Oren's Automotive!     It seems after 11 years later, the experience has not changed (based on the only other review for…read morethis place). I had to go in because one of our family members needed a jump start and we needed to buy cables. So I walk in, and ask the guy if I can buy some jump start cables and brushed me off since he seemed like he was looking something up in his auto parts book. Pretty much did not help me at all, but started to roam the store since it was pretty small and found them at two price points $35 and $65. Opted for the $35 one. Rang it up and left Overpriced, and definitely zero service. Definitely would not recommend.

I had just started teaching myself basic auto repair/maintenance, and wanted to know more about what products were available and how to do things. There was only one guy working the store, and he made me feel really uncomfortable. He wasn't overtly rude; he just gave off this kind of unsettling vibe. I also didn't like how he seemed kind of impatient. I like comparing the products available, and I don't like being rushed through purchases. He came over to ask me what I was looking for, went and got it from the shelves (without showing it to me) and then immediately went to the cash register to ring it up even though I had told him I wanted to look through the store first because I was a newbie who wanted to see what was available. I felt like he was getting impatient about it, so I just paid for the bulbs and then decided to browse through the store, because I really wanted to see what they had to offer. The guy kept staring at me as I walked around the store. It felt like he wanted me to get out since I had already made my purchase. I found that the prices weren't better than Kragen's, and decided to leave. The guy watched me walk out, then went out the store's back/side door so he could watch me get into my car. He just stood in the doorway, watching me. I was going to replace the bulb right after buying it to make sure he gave me the right size, but that guy was making me really nervous, so I just drove off. It wasn't an unreasonable purchasing experience, but I was really uncomfortable during the whole thing, so they get 2/5 stars ("Meh. I've experienced better."). I wouldn't go back to this Napa again unless I needed something only they carried. There's really no need to have to deal with that guy when Kragen's is just down the street. I highly recommend the Goleta Kragen's (lots of friendly, helpful people) over this Napa store.

They even stopped installation and advised me to order my front grill from another more reputable vendor. They were right! I can't thank those guys enough for not only ordering and installing everything but telling me that what I had ordered was not up to their standards. They took care of it and now everything that they installed is solid! On my way to Baja to disappear for a couple of months. TTFN!

They didn't measure anything clearly because they ordered a 10' rack for a 5' shell when i asked for an 8'. That's just the beginning. Then they b installed the ladder rack crooked abs when I discovered it on my own their response was " we didn't know you wanted it perfectly centered " ‍ Wow. Talk about workmanship. Then the Leer harness gives errors messages. EVERY turn. Then the harness is replaced. Then the NEW harness still isn't working and has to be REENGINEERED by LEER. When i asked them again about the crooked ladder rack they say they'll fix it next time....(like i really want to return a 5th time) which they couldn't do. They installed the mounts as far to the center as possible so there is ZERO room for adjustment. I am tired of dealing with a crooked and non operational shell and drop it off to them to give them an opportunity to fix it. In the evening of course because i work fire a living. Then i get blasted by the shop telling me they are going to take it to the dump or charge me $100 a day plus storage plus PRIVATE SECURITY if i want to pick it up. Unfixed of course. These guys are criminals. They are literally refusing to admit mistakes and instead threaten to call the police. WOW.
