We tried the other Jaggers by Ruth Chris, but this location was closer to our shopping trip to Louisville. Zero issues. Our food was fresh; I burned my tongue on a French fry, but I was hungry then. Needless to say, the restrooms were clean, and that's probably my biggest tell-tell about a restaurant's kitchen: how they keep the restrooms clean, which are visible to the public. The bottom line is that we had zero issues at this location. So, give them a try if you're in the neighborhood.

My family of 4 had a great experience at Jaggers in its new Middletown location. The interior felt modern and offered a variety of seating, from booths to low and high tops. Customers order at the counter and the food will be delivered to your table. Burgers have 2 patties which worked for my husband and teen, while I ordered a kids meal with one. It came with a small side of fries and I added a side salad. My oldest son opted for a grilled chicken Cobb salad. They have lots of options for at the soda fountain plus tea. Burgers, chicken tenders and salads available. Plus they are known for milkshakes. The restaurant felt clean and the tables were ready for seating. Even the soda and condiment area were well taken care of. The drive thru was busy and moved quickly, or plenty of parking for dining in.

I really liked the whole vibe of this place in general. The food was really good and it came out in less than 5 minutes. It was fresh and hot with the veggies still cold, so thats exactly how it should be done! The fries are so good. Crispy and no hard edges etc. Seasoning is definitely on point too. I tried the 1st burger on the menu and the grilled chicken sandwich also. They were both super good and a nice size. Staff was pretty nice overall, and it was pretty clean. Couple of tables not wiped down here and there, but I'm not too picky about that stuff. It was busy. Plenty of parking and also a double drive thru option. I'll be back!

Subpar service, subpar food and cold fries. This place is just ok, even though they advertise as if they are the next big thing.

I'm so glad we found this place yesterday. We arrived early in Louisville for a networking event…read moreand wanted to hang out somewhere with a nice outside area. We definitely found the right place. The patio area with the Koi pond and waterfall was perfect. My wife and I had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Selena's Crab Caps. Their menu looks amazing as did the specials of the day. We didn't have time to eat a full meal, but did enjoy our time outside. Our server was great and one of the owners did come by to check on us also. I would definitely come back to try more of their food.

We had originally gone because we saw the $2 bellini and mimosa special advertised, but when we got…read morethere they were actually $5. I'm not sure if the $2 version was a smaller size or only offered at certain times, but honestly... the drinks were still worth it. The flavor was amazing, and unlike a lot of brunch drinks that taste watered down, these were actually strong. Two glasses definitely had me feeling tipsy, so I can't complain too much there. The main reason I took off a star was the parking situation and accessibility concerns. The handicap parking is positioned perpendicular to the main road, which honestly feels unsafe when backing out. If someone already has mobility or visibility limitations, backing directly into a busy road can be stressful and dangerous. The rest of the parking area is also gravel, which can be difficult to navigate with mobility aids, wheelchairs, walkers, or even just for someone unsteady on their feet. It's one of those situations where it's great that handicap parking exists close to the entrance, but the actual setup still creates challenges. Outside of that, the drinks themselves were genuinely really good, the atmosphere was fun, and I'd probably still come back for another brunch date.

4/29/26 Tonight we took 18 Residents from Swan Point HOA to…read moreDouble Dogs Middletown. It's at 13307 Shelbyville Rd. Our server was Sarah N, she had been our server previously. She was so funny and you could certainly tell that she enjoyed her job. One of our residents goes there often with his family and he really sings her praise. There seems to be more food choices this time, but it may just be that I always just got chicken tenders! lol. This trip I did look at the menu and found something I loved. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito that had Bacon, 3 Scrambled eggs, Cheese and Shoestring size fries tucked inside the Burrito. I also ordered a side salad instead of fries. The salad was really good. It had some small bit of tortilla chips in it. Which had just the right crunch. Oh my! It was delicious! My husband ordered the Bacon Burger. It was really a large burger and he loved it. He had Cole Slaw and really liked it. My friends sitting next to me ordered steaks and I didn't know that steaks were on the menu. Another friend had Hot Dogs with all the toppings. I also am posting the menu pages for you to look at. We sat at 3 high topped chairs and stools, but you can also choose to sit at the regular tables up at the front end of the restaurant. If you want to take your dog with you to Double Dogs for an outing, there are outdoor tables that are fenced in, so you can bring them along to eat. We really had a great time and next time I go, I'm hoping to get Sarah for our server again. I loved her smile and the speedy way she got us our food and drinks and kept our glasses filled. We went at 6:00 and it was still the quieter time of the day. Then people started coming in that had been to the track and the volume came up a bit. It's a great restaurant for families and for groups of friends. Check out the menu! We are sending a special thank you to CHAD DENNISON, GM at Double Dogs for being such a supporter of Swan Pointe! Our family visited for a Friday night dinner and started out on the small front patio. Sun was…read moreshining and light breeze, but we had to retreat indoors for dining when a sudden pop up storm arrived. Extensive bar menu and I tried a peach daiquiri with no alcohol version. Other diners chose the Pina colada and also a Friday cocktail special of Holy Water, which included blue curaçao. Feedback was mixed. We started with 1/2 pound of hot and spicy peel and eat shrimp and a dozen oysters. Great preparation and taste. It was apparently all so good and we had such a great time that we forgot to take photos of the food. We shared steamer bowls and a captain's platter. This allowed for a variety of crab legs, steamed oysters, sausages, corn, red potatoes, garlic Parmesan bread, shrimp, grouper, onion rings, clam strips, along with butter, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. We had arrived famished and we all left satiated and carrying out To Go boxes. Our server was fantastic, helping us relocate inside when the storm popped up, and very attentive through our entire visit. Looking forward to future visits and more great seafood.

We've been to Rumors many times over the years since we moved to Kentucky some 15 years ago but we…read morehaven't been here in probably 6 years. It's always a good choice if you want fried seafood and cheaper shell fish. It hasn't changed one iota since our first visit in 2010. My daughter and I were doing some Christmas shopping in Louisville and we'd have much rather preferred getting oysters and the seafood tower at The Capital Grille by the Oxmoor but we were kinda "steaked" out. It's always been busy and popular but when we got there it was practically empty, by the time we left it had filled to capacity. Lots of oak tables and the decor is typical seafood restaurant on the gulf shore. It's has a weathered look but I think that's the point, it doesn't distract. The staff has always been friendly and since we beat the crowd, service was quick. We started off with a dozen oysters (I'm guessing from the gulf) which is half the price of oysters at all the raw bars at premium steakhouses. Yeah they're not Chesapeakes, Kumamotos, or blue points but my palates not so refined so I can't tell the difference from the eastern gulf oysters. We also got the smoked tuna dip, which has always been popular with my kids. I secretly think it's just Krogers flavored tuna with a few dashes of liquid smoke but it's still very good. We were there mainly for the oysters and the tuna dip so we just got sandwiches, the grouper sandwich and the oyster po boy. They are fine, what you'd expect to get in Kentucky, but nothing like you could get on the coast, they are neither as big nor as fresh. If you want a bit of the gulf coast and some reasonably priced shellfish or a seafood boil Rumor's on Shelbyville is a decent choice.
