Good day everyone I'm making my statements because my daughter went into Richmond hospital…read moreemergency room and a Sickle Cell pain crisis she wasn't able to walk on her legs they not only did not give her an IV they did not address the pain issues and actually sent her home without meds again she suffers with nocturnal seizures, sickle cell, she's definitely one ear, retina damage, and hit damage how the hell is it that social security just told her after 39 years that she's no longer disabled really I'm her mother and I'm telling you Sickle Cell doesn't vanish at all so my complaint is to let you know Richmond hospital doesn't give a f*** about black people with sickle cell disease. My name is Dr. T, and I recently had a distressing experience at Richmond Hospital's emergency room…read morewith my newborn. Despite being admitted, we were placed in a room outside the hallway, directly in front of the bathroom, where numerous patients walked by, coughing and sneezing. I repeatedly requested a room change from various nurses, but they claimed everyone was in critical condition, and it wasn't possible. When the Physician Assistant (PA) examined my baby, she seemed uninterested and dismissive. I had to ask her to perform basic checks and even request an ice pack, as no one offered assistance. When I inquired about a CT scan, she initially said it wasn't necessary, despite that being the primary reason for our visit. When I asked what she could do for my baby, she replied, 'Nothing.' As I prepared to leave, the PA asked if I wanted a discharge. I requested time to consult with my husband , but when she returned 15-20 minutes later, she refused to let us go. She claimed it was because the room behind us wasn't ready, despite the previous patient having just left and the bed being quickly changed without proper sanitization. When I asked her to sanitize the room, she bluntly said, 'No, this is emergency room and it is the best we can do. I was scared for not fully vaccinated newborn baby, so I took him home and I watch out for my baby myself. Mom should never go through this. They saw a black woman distressed with her newborn baby I am sure that was their negligence and being racist towards me. I advise everyone to go to the other hospital nearby. My bed image is attached.

If I knew it will take me more then 2 hours & 3 buses just to reach I would chose a different place…read morenear my area. Then I came inside & saw almost everyone is Muslim I felt relaxed . Theirs always something peaceful about being with your own people! So I travel & waste a lot of time just to get my therapy . I wanna mention one thing that they have a separate room for ladies if you don't feel comfortable getting therapy outside . Altho at first they said it will be totally ok for me to get therapy inside. But on my third day the lady was complaining about it saying oh she needs to check up on other patients & it's easier to do it outside . If that's the case why you have a private room on the first place. Also the days are going by & therapy time is getting less & less. At this point I feel like I should find another place . After all this hassle it takes me to get here , I feel like it's not worth it ! Another thing which I was very surprised that no Dr has seen me yet & didn't done any imagine on me. How can you start my therapy before even finding out what's wrong with me . It just doesn't make any sense , I really expected more from them! Kinda heartbroken now!

Outside doors locked, no way to signal anyone inside to open for you. Had to call the posted number, (929)308-0967 which is a either voice mail ot a call center which then has to notify the staff to come upstairs to open the doors. The weather is 19°F and we have to wait for someone to physically open doors? They just lost a patient.
