I called Staley Electric because of their reviews. Mitchell and Jeff came out. First, they ignored what my elderly mother told them and then argued with her. They said it was because the air conditioner was not working. That was the first two phone calls I made to the company. Then they left to get a replacement without explaining anything about the bill to my mother. That was the third phone call I made. They returned 45 minutes later. Mitchell got out of the van and started arguing with me again after I repeated what the HVAC guy said. Then he yelled at me while standing in my front yard. They fixed the switch and left without saying anything else. The air conditioner is now working. That was nearly $300 because the manager took off the $99 dispatch fee. The bills are not itemized because they charge a flat rate. TL:DR - Charged an outrageous amount when technicians did not test anything, argued with my elder mother, and yelled at me.

My biggest complaint is that the new way companies are beginning to do work is to not disclose to the consumer very much information of what is being done or what the cost would be or what the cost was for that day's service. I was not given an invoice, not was I quoted what the charge would be for that day's service. I was asked for my credit card, and I did not know the cost until the amount was taken out of my banking account, but I still have not and was not given an itemized invoice of what was done and the cost of any itemized work. There was a little bit of pushy salesman's talk. I was told that there should be something done right now with a little pushiness in the tone. I had to explain that I did not want anything done so quickly and I needed to think about what he was offering. I am not sure if what he did has made it any better and with his explanation it appeared he was telling me that what he did do would not be helpful because I probably needed a new complete system, with the one I have is only about seven years old. He left me somewhat confused, leaving me not knowing what really is needed. This is a family business and I feel honored to have at minimum meet Brian and his wife plus a few of their children but they have such a great story that you can get an idea of on their website and I hope others get to meet them as well. So for my project, the positive experience started from my first interaction with Epperson Electric when I went on Yelp (I also checked out their website) and asked for a quote, the response was very quick and we meet Brian, the owner, within a couple days where he walked me through the estimation, how the project would unfold and asked what I wanted plus gave me options to several things, it was very interactive experience. The estimate was very reasonable for the size of the project and I could tell that this was not "just another project" to Brian, but that he is passionate about quality of his work and this is very aligned to my own ideas and expectations. The work that Brian did was exceptional, because he didn't just wire my shop and dig a trench and lay the pipe for the hookup to the transformer, but he paid attention to the little details that you only really notice if quality of work is important to you like, straight wire runs even when no one else will see them, all the new boxes were perfectly level, the existing light fixtures being reworked and the wires were nicely zip tied and look clean, the 240' trench was perfect even though our water company's spray marks for their lines were 9' off where they marked and caused issues but everything went as planned with high quality craftmanship. I don't know if I have effectively communicated in words to everyone just how impressed I am with Epperson Electric, Brian, and his quality of work and knowledge but I will say that I will never use anyone else for any of my electrical projects in the future.

I have called at least six times and get the same answer. 'Oh we're working on it. The bosses aren't in right now. I'll call you back.' I understand they have to take a service fee out .
