At restaurant checked bill: we charged for 12 bags rolls not the 2 we ordered that I put in out green box. Bad weather walked to store. Saw manager. She would not correct the bill unless I brought her my full order so she could check it. Her demeanor superior, condescending: no effort to check our phoned in order. When I objected her response was: how do I know you didn't take 12 bags: Not happy I walked back, in snow slush to restaurant to get keys, got to car get order and walk back to store. She made it right. Apologized. Said her owner made her do this. My response was I appreciated you made it right but your excuse does not cut it. I am not happy how you treated me. You could have resolved this without forcing me to go bring back my whole order. I did not tell her we had been customers for 30 years nor that we were done with her Kingsway location. It's not the best bakery in Toronto, but it does the trick. Potato-Onion Loaf: I picked this up last March so I'm not sure if they still have it. There were pieces of caramelized onions in the loaf and was so delicious toasted. I enjoyed eating it on its own, but also as my sandwich bread. Sugar Cookies: They have sugar cookies for each holiday. We picked up their heart cookies for Valentine's. They were so cute and the perfect size to enjoy a sweet treat. The only thing is you have to get a minimum of 6 cookies. Croissants: There's a deal when you buy 6 croissants. I like that they have a variety of types whether it is savoury or sweet. I have picked up 6 assorted flavours and had them packed in a box as a gift to friends and family. Next, I need to try their orange chiffon cake! They also carry a number of prepared foods. Good for: bread, desserts, snacks

They sell bars, cakes, additives, hot drinks, cold drinks, desserts in jars, lollypop cakes, and tortes. They call themselves a non-bakery. This company originated in Poland. They have been slowly expanding to different countries. This location is the first in Canada (and North America), opening on 2025-07-16. We ordered the following: 1. Tiramisu cake ($9.00). 2. Vanilla Cheesecake ($9.00). 3. Granola on the Go with Tropical Fruits and Protein ($9.00). 4. Almond Apple Pie ($9.00). All items were subtly delicious! Each item is as it should taste but less sweet, but sweet enough. Now i can have dessert without the guilt! The Tiramisu had a good taste. It is even topped by a few coffee beans. The cake contains eggs, coconut milk, buckwheat flour, espresso, cocoa, sweetener, erythritol. The Vanilla Cheesecake was so very fluffy and light. It contains chicken eggs, cottage cheese, gluten-free pudding, natural skyr (yogurt), vanilla, fruit, sweetener, erythritol. The Granola on the Go was so colourful because it had so many different fruit flavour layers, like mango at the bottom. It would be best to scoop the layers separately, rather than mixing all the flavours together. This Cup contains mango, passionfruit, banana, pineapple, yogurt with increased protein content (cow's milk protein), coconut granola, sweeter, erythritol. The Almond Apple Pie was amazing, and the strongest taste of all the four items I had. It must be because Almond and apple have their own strong tastes. It contains apples, almond flour, rice flour, potato flour, coconut flour, coconut oil, cinnamon, sweetener, erythritol. The customer service was excellent. They know how to explain each items and the main ingredients in them. There are six small tables, enough to seat two people each. The vibe is modern, clean, and splashes of colour. They do not sell breakfast items even though their website says so. The website is generic for all worldwide locations. This location is franchaised. There is free WiFi (but not set up yet). The bakery is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom which is also wheelchair accessible and has a baby change table. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-140

I think that if you don't eat sugar this will be an excellent place to go to. However if you do eat sweets whether it's homemade or store bought you might find it less satisfying cause sugar does hit a certain part of our tongue and our brain. When I've baked not using sugar I found I need to add just a bit in even 1/4 cup to satiate the sugar fix. I got a tartlet with plum and peanut butter and it was good. The other item I looked at also had peanut butter. I did not try a cake and was hoping to find cookies to try but no luck. I don't live anywhere near here and I'm not sure if I'd go out of my way for it. I thought they were dairy free but it is a selection of items plus some are keto and a few things as marscapone cheese in it. I think they might also have vegan options too. It was a smorgasbord. I think the main thing is you're avoiding sugar then yes here it's worth it. I'm not 100% sure if it's all GF. I was surprised to see keto and dairy as I thought it was dairy free too but nope only some things. So it's a gamble what you can eat depending on what they make that day. Perhaps if they had a schedule for each day that would be very helpful.

It looked like a place that has not changed in many decades- so it had a vintage vibe. During my visit, it was quite busy as it was just after 12 noon on Saturday. I read that this place has very good pastries, so that is what I decided to purchase. There were two friendly ladies working behind the counter, so I called one of them to ask for help. She informed me that each item is priced by weight, so after confirming the prices, I purchased three cannolis (three different flavours) and one cream-filled doughnut. Then she let me know that I can pay for them at the checkout close to the exit. After paying for the items, I brought them home to try with my husband. We enjoyed both items- however, if we had to pick our favourite, it would be the cannolis. The exterior was so crunchy (and very satisfying) and the filling was smooth and creamy. Each flavour had the right amount of sweetness to satisfy our cravings! The doughnut was good- it had the smooth and creamy custard filling, but the dough tasted a bit hard (so it was not as pillowly as we thought). The next time I am in the area, I look forward to checking out their other items. If you are in this area, support local and check out this family-owned bakery!
