Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was hot and fresh with typical variety. We were there for lunch and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lunch buffet. read more

They have a good variety of tasty food. We go there a lot for lunch. The service was good and prices decent. The restaurant is nice and clean. And we will go there again and again! read more

Always has amazing food. They always give amazing customer service and everyone is extremely nice.

It was not a huge buffet with many choices but all things considered it was pretty good. It was clean and the girls working there were good at picking up the dirty plates, etc... My wife and I both thought the food was good. read more

The food was old and gross and sushi should be cold, this place is just went all the way downhill. We won't be back after paying 50 to eat and leaving hungry. It was a sad birthday for my boyfriend I feel awful we went here... read more

First impressions upon entrance was that the restaurant was very clean and brilliantly lit, compared to the dark ambience of other Chinese buffets. The food was really good; foods were at good temps as well. The variety was also splendid. Lastly, our service was good with quick refills and staff monitoring the buffet to replenish low or empty dishes. Really confused by the poor reviews from several years ago, our visit while in town in February 2024 was great! read more

ive never been so disappointed in a restaurants service and employees. i asked for a different soda and didn't even get the cup rinsed. I had to ask multiple times for a refill after them walking by seeing my cup is empty. the staff is unbelievably disrespectful. read more

The food is generally good at most times of the day, unfortunately the service is inconsistent. More often than not, I need a refill and no one comes around to check. read more

Food was excellent. The service was very bad. The waitress was very rude. Took dishes away without asking if you were done with it.

First, I am *dumbfounded* that Jade had two stars when I looked to check their hours: that is totally *undeserved*! As a connoisseur of fine Chinese Buffets in Missouri, I am going to rebut this injustice! TLDR: Good bang for the buck, good, consistent food, at a slightly higher than expected, but still reasonable price point. Price: Just a touch high, which is why they get four, not five, stars. Price for two, with a low [$5.00/person] tip generally runs under $50.00. I say "generally" because their price varies: on "Restaurant holidays" (Mother's day, Father's day, Turkey day, etc.) they put out more expensive items (like ribs, higher quality sushi, etc.), raising the tab. We go quite often, and their price point is usually spot on, but sometimes they're a little higher than called for. Considering that just *one person* can easily eat more than $50 worth of food because of the outrageous inflation we're suffering through (thanks Joe - I thought Carter was bad, but you showed him!), I would have liked to have the ability to give Jade a half start for the 5th, but I can't - they DO deserve it though! Their food is an interesting combination of what you expect from a Chinese Buffet: assorted frozen-to-deepfry items like spring rolls, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, toasted ravioli, etc., and surprises like basic sushi (salmon rolls, veg rolls, etc), baby back ribs, and fresh fruits in quantity (in addition to the standard canned fruits like pears, pineapples, etc). The selection is always good, with the fresh fruits (melons, grapes, others, being outstanding. The physical setting is in a convenient place: Farmington - a location which is central for the extremely rural areas in this part of Missouri. We live in a spot that has only one commercial site within our entire township, so Potosi and Farmington are our only under-twenty minute locations. The restaurant is kept very clean, even on very busy days that have lines [Father's day had a line, and the buffet was pandemonium, but it was also kept freshly supplied and very clean throughout: very impressive!]. The "ambiance" is what you expect: a pretty even mix of booth and tables, set around the buffet on three sides. The floor layout allows for good traffic control getting to and from the buffet, so you never end up with wait times trying to get food, even on the busiest days. My all time favorite Chinese buffet was in Saint Louis city, but didn't survive the first modern depression of 2008 (we'll miss them - they were a family owned and operated place that we went to for decades, and I hope they landed on their feet in the end). The next was in Saint Louis county by DePaul Hospital, and since we moved out into the sticks (what a relief!), Jade is our go-to place for routine eating out days. Hopefully they will outlast us, as there isn't anything comparable within a 50 mile radius. read more

The service was horrible. Waitress took our soy sauce while we were waiting and didn't bring it back till we were done. None of the food was really good, the bathrooms and floors were gross and sticky. Most of the chairs and tables were gross. I just won't be back. read more

They just opened you'd think the food would be hot right ? Right? Nope I'm surprised the health department doesn't shut this place down save your time and money don't go here. read more

I will start by saying the positive. The place is new and very clean, especially for a buffet place. Careful around lunch rush because they do not have a large amount of seating. Now for the negative. Unfortunately the food was bland and lacked good texture. Yes I know, it's a Chinese buffet, but that doesn't mean it has to be like it is. There was one dish I ate that has me questioning my decision to eat it, not quiet sure that the chicken was done enough. I hate this being the first review of this place, but here is my recommendation if you are hungry for Chinese and are in the area... just don't. There is a much better place up the hwy that is much better for your money. read more

Jade Buffet - the outside of the restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Farmington, Missouri

Well, the food was wonderful as it always is and our waitress showed us to our table and our drinks were back before we were back from the buffet as always so it was a normal visit. Let me go about three times a month. However, the cashier has a lot to learn about customer service. Now I understand if there's a language barrier there, but she did not smile. She did not say a word and when she hint she didn't tell us how much it was. She just showed my husband the ticket and when she handed he handed her his money in her hand. When she handed him his change she threw it on the counter and walked away. No smile. No bye no. Have a good day. No nothing and so they will no longer get any of our business I think I would rather drive down to Cape. read more

Great food, one of the best buffets I have been to in this area. Shrimp and spare ribs are wonderful. Friendly prompt service.

Although the food was delicious and the music and atmosphere were pleasant we lost our appetite when the cashier was hacking and coughing up mucus into a trash can, then immediately went the buffet and began touching the serving spoons and stirring the food up. We left immediately. 22 bucks I'll never get back. read more

Not bad if your constipated and enjoy hugging the porcelin throne for a while. Don't waste your money ! The place looks good but its just not worth the pain afterwards. read more

Went there today and took out a carry out waste of time didn't have any meat on the buffet will never go back

Went in an hour before closing food was cold wait staff were rude try to push you out after 20 min of seating

Great food, great service. Clean and friendly. I love their food choices, a large variety.

Great service. I eat there weekly and the place is always packed. I see other reviews about negative comments but that's not what I've experienced. If it's true why is it packed ? The fried fish is the best I've ever had. The broccoli salad is awesome too. They are closed Mondays. read more

Me and my coworkers went here for our lunch break. The staff was polite and the food tasted great at first, but we all got food poisoning after we left. I wouldn't recommend eating the chicken or the sushi, there are other reviews mentioning the chicken being undercooked. Also, this is a buffet selling sushi in the middle of Missouri, a state that isn't known for amazing sushi, so beware. read more

This was the third time we have tried the Jade buffet and it was only because we had a coupon. The previous two visits the good was over priced and terrible. We wanted to give it one last chance. This time we went right at lunch, food was actually decent but the lady behind the counter was super rude, maybe because we used a coupon? She literally threw my receipt and debit card at me, it was actually funny how obviously rude it was. We said something to our waitress, who was actually nice, and she remarked that the lady was always like that. Chances are we wont return, prices are super high for average food and worse service... read more

This was probably the worst Chinese place I've ever been to, and I can love pretty much any Chinese place. The food was just awful. The food that should have had great seasoning had none and the food that normally has no taste had an awful taste. The chicken was undercooked and slimy. The waitresses lacked the ability to walk around and provide good service to their tables, instead they wanted to sit on their phones the whole time we were there. My pregnant wife pulled something out of her mouth that was the consistency of a loogie. I will never be returning to this restaurant again. read more

Over priced!! Food was dry!! General chicken should have some sauce/gravy!! Used to get lunch there reasonable, was 24 dollars for 2 for chicken and rice!! Won't be eating lunch there again!!! read more
