On Monday at 2:15pm I asked if I was going to receive a virtual link for my appointment at 3. They said that the therapist would email me the link 30 minutes prior to the meeting. So I waited... and waited... and waited. At 3:22 the therapist finally messaged me telling me that the company never informed them of our appointment and we'd have to reschedule. I was confused and told the therapist that the company told me that she as the therapist was supposed to contact me before the meeting. Then I get a call from the company. A woman informed me that my therapist had a medical emergency and was unable to attend my appointment. To which I said, that doesn't make any sense, the therapist just told me that you as the company never looped her in that she had an appointment with me. The woman on the phone said nooo that's not correct, let's just make a new appointment, what day are you available. Immediately, I did not feel respected and this back and fourth was extremely unprofessional. I informed the woman that this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be looking for services elsewhere. Then the woman said okay and hung up. The therapist then texted me that the company didn't put my appointment on the correct date on her schedule. Which makes no sense to me. Why contact me about our appointment on a day that my appointment isn't apparently scheduled for??? Someone or multiple people were lying, I'm unsure. Please save your time and do not go here. They need to improve their custom service greatly.

I first met Richard over 20 years ago in Northern Virginia when I found myself struggling with relationship difficulties significant enough to cause issues with depression and anxiety. I recall feeling great angst, uncertainty, fear, overwhelming sadness - the list seemed endless. I never anticipated that after feeling so terrible for so long, that I could walk out of my first session with Richard feeling as if I had hope, great relief, and a positive plan that motivated, as well as inspired me, to become well as quickly as possible. He did just that and so much more. I found Richard to have an uncanny ability to quickly learn what therapeutic approach would work best with my history, personality, and specific difficulties at the time. This seemed to expedite my progress and I felt as if I was back to myself much more quickly than I anticipated. I was blessed enough to be Richard's patient for quite some time until he relocated to Florida. Richard's wisdom and sage advice resonated with me through the years and as such, I felt because of our work, I was able to successfully handle any relationship hiccup along the way. Approximately two years ago, I unfortunately experienced what felt to be emotional trauma within a relationship and I found it to be a problem bigger than I knew I could handle on my own. Due to logistics, I sought the advice of two counselors locally and found that my experience in several sessions with them, could not even compare to the positive guidance I received from Richard in just one session. As such, I took a leap of faith, contacted Richard at his new location in Florida, and I have been able to re-establish myself as a patient of his practice. When I think of the impact Richard has had on my life, my initial thought has always been that he saved me....but when I think more deeply about how effective Richard has been, as well as how I've learned through our sessions, to handle any emotional challenge in a healthy manner, it's made me realize, that he helped me understand how to save myself.
