This is my first time writing a Yelp review, and I usually avoid posting negative feedback about…read morebusinesses. However, my experience at this dental office--specifically with the office manager, Christy--has left me frustrated enough to share my story. To be clear, my dissatisfaction is not with the dentist, whose care I've always trusted, but rather with the way the office handled a $22.11 payment issue. I visited the office for a routine cleaning in October 2024, during which the dentist recommended fillings for two teeth. Although I've been skeptical about the necessity of some past recommendations, I trusted the dentist's expertise and scheduled the procedure. Before the appointment, I requested a pretreatment estimate to understand my out-of-pocket costs. When I reviewed the estimate, I noticed it was classified as an out-of-network claim, even though the office is in-network. I immediately contacted the office, and they assured me they would correct the issue. On December 10, 2024, I had the fillings done. When it came time to pay, the amount presented to me was significantly higher than I expected. After I questioned it, the staff realized they hadn't fixed the out-of-network classification. They recalculated the payment on the spot, and I paid the corrected amount without issue. Weeks later, on December 27, I received a call from the office stating I owed a balance of $22.11 because my insurance deductible hadn't been met for the year. While I felt this should have been accounted for in the pretreatment estimate, I reviewed the claim and confirmed the charge was accurate. I called the office back promptly and expressed my willingness to pay. However, I was uncomfortable providing my credit card information over the phone, given previous bad experiences. I asked about alternative payment methods, such as mailing a check, paying online, or handling it during my next visit. The staff assured me that paying later would be fine. On January 9, 2025, I received another call from Christy, the office manager. Her tone was immediately accusatory, implying I had failed to follow up or take responsibility for the payment. I explained that I had already confirmed the charge with my insurance and had been told it was fine to pay later. When I asked where to send a check, she abruptly ended the call without providing the necessary information, before I even had the chance to ask who the check should be addressed to. Then, on January 16, I received a voicemail from Christy, stating that if I didn't pay the $22.11 by the end of the day, the balance would be sent to collections. I was shocked that such an aggressive approach was being taken for such a small amount, especially when I had already attempted to resolve the issue. Frustrated, I rushed to the office to pay the balance in person. During this visit, I tried to explain my concerns about how the situation had been handled, but Christy dismissed my points, continued to accuse me of not wanting to pay, and spoke to me in an unprofessional and condescending manner. When I pointed out that she hadn't provided clear instructions for mailing a check, she sarcastically responded, "You know where our office is, right?" This level of disrespect was infuriating. In the end, I paid the $22.11 and canceled all future appointments. While I still respect the dentist's care and professionalism, I can no longer remain a patient at this practice due to how I was treated by the office manager. This experience has shown me that even excellent medical care can be overshadowed by poor communication and unprofessional behavior from office staff. I have attached one screenshot for my payment of $22.11 and one screenshot of the voicemail that threatened me about the collection, which happened 20 days after initially notifying me of the balance.

I recently underwent significant work on my upper arch, including 2 pulled teeth and 6 implants…read more All the work was completed in one visit by Dr. Kim, I was told beforehand that I may have a lot of pain both during and after the surgery. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Dr, Kim. He initially hooked me up to sweet air which may me feel comfortable. During the surgery, I barely felt anything and stayed comfortable. What was scheduled for around 4 hours only took around 2 hours. At no time, did I feel any pain. Dr. Kim was so gentle and made me feel relaxed. After the surgery and for the following week, I did not feel any pain. I did taken Motrin and Tylenol for the first two days but was able to stop since there was no reason to continue to take these pain killers. I also continued to enjoy a good night sleep even the night of the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Kim - there is no need to be nervous with him since he is so good.

Dr. Hasday is a good practitioner. His bedside manner is among the best I have seen. He'll put…read moreyou at ease, explain the work without rushing you, and apparently do the right job. Basically a good dentist and salesman. No problems here. The problem, and it is a big one for me, is his business practices. He quoted a price for his services and then, without any mention exacted significantly more for a "consultation" after the work was done. In this case, tripling the price. Specifically, I visited his office for a cleaning and imaging and was quoted a $ 225 fee. While I was there I asked about tooth pain. He looked at adjacent teeth, never mentioning charges. Upon leaving, I was billed $610 for "Consultation". Some may feel this is fair. No discussion permitted; just my problem. You be the judge. Imaging, which was included with the cleaning must be read by a doctor. So a cleaning must include some consultation. No explanation offered. Just pay up. If a patient feels so bamboozled, eh - robbed - that he is posting in every Internet forum and telling every Rockville Centre resident he knows, Dr. Hasday has failed him. Dr. Hasday might review his billing practices. An otherwise fine practitioner should not be leaving his patients feeling they were dealing with a lier and were ripped off.

I have waited well over a year to put to words my experience with Dr. Hasday…read more I went to him to have an implant done. The experience went smoothly until a couple of days later when my face started to swell. I went back to Dr. Hasday's office and was given a stronger antibiotic to combat the infection that was beginning. Another couple of days and the swelling didn't go down, in fact, the swelling began to spread. Went back to Dr. Hasday, his exact words were that he "was not worried at all" and to wait for the antibiotics to take affect. Two more days later, I went back to his office for the third time. I was told to go to the hospital immediately as it seemed that the infection was spreading down my neck and up my face. I ended up spending FIVE DAYS in the hospital. And that's not even the worst part of the story! Dr. Hasday, while attentive when the implant failed and while I was in the hospital, soon began to ask for payment! Payment for a failed implant that left his patient in the hospital for FIVE DAYS! I thought that there must be a mistake and he assured me that he had to seek payment from me because it could show fault on his part if he didn't! Ultimately, he did return some of the money that I had already paid. Then it was time to re-attempt the implant. The negotiations were on again! I stupidly paid, again, to have the implant done with his office. SECOND IMPLANT ALSO FAILED! So, thousands of dollars spent, 5 days in the hospital, one terrifying infection, one infection/implant removal surgery and still no implant. I recognize that some of what happened was out of Dr. Hasday's hands. However, how he comported himself during one of the worst times of my life, is all him. This is a doctor that does not care about you. Trust me. By the way, I am still receiving calls from his office for payment.
