My boyfriend and I were struggling with fertility issues after I moved to the area and so this was the first OB/GYN I found. The nurse practitioner I saw told me during the first visit that I needed to lose weight in order to get pregnant. I was 140 pounds because the medication I been taking made me gain a little weight. Definitely not a great thing to say to somebody who has suffered from eating disorders in the past. At my second appointment, I was told that since my periods were irregular that if I hadn't gotten it by the next month to call and schedule an ultrasound appointment. The next month I called to schedule the ultrasound appointment. When I got to the appointment a nurse took me in the office and asked what my appointment was for . I explained that my boyfriend and I had fertility issues and that my period was irregular and I was supposed to get an ultrasound. It was almost an hour later that I finally got called into a room. The nurse practitioner walked in with another practitioner and never asked my permission for that person to be in the room. The first thing she says to me is that she noticed my periods were irregular and wondered if I wanted to get on birth control. I asked her why I would get on birth control when I'm trying to get pregnant.. she then decided to schedule me for an ultrasound and sent me back out into the waiting room. By that time, I was just so fed up I walked out. If you're an hour late to the appointment and you don't even know why I'm there for the appointment, I'm not gonna bother with you. read more

If there was a way to give this practice less than 1 star I would. As an overall OBGYN Office, for yearly Pap smears, birth control etc. this office isn't all that bad. However, if you plan on using them during your 9 months of pregnancy...STEER CLEAR OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Not only do the doctors have no compassion what so ever, They are completely unapproachable with necessary questions. I once timed my visit for a 28 week appt, it was 1 minute 30 seconds ( LITERALLY) after waiting 40 mins in the waiting room. I swear Dr Buracks fake attempt to hear my sons heart beat with a Doppler was just that...a fake attempt. She never ONCE, in the 10 times we met asked me if I had any concerns or questions. She didn't even acknowledge my husband who came for some of the visits. I overheard her once on the phone with a staff nurse talking about a women who was going into labor on Xmas eve. She blatantly screamed from the other room that " this lady was not about to ruin her Christmas Eve dinner and that the nurse better tell her to not dear try and go to the hospital yet". I couldn't believe I was over heard this. Needless to say I changed doctors at 32 weeks and have never been happier. Voice of experience here....Jacobs lee and Burack is getting too big for their own good. And from what I hear, it's really only one doc now since the other two are Close to retiring. read more

I was a patient of this practice for over 25 years and if I could give them 10 stars, I would. The entire staff, from clerical to nurses to the doctors themselves were experienced and always patient, taking the time to explain treatment options. Phone inquiries were always promptly responded to and I can't recall a lengthy wait time. If there was an emergency delivery, I was informed immediately and offered options to see another physician or PA. When minor procedure were required, I was treated with care and compassion and I was extremely confident in the physicians' experience. I will miss this practice and wish them all well! read more

I've been a patient at this practice for years, primarily at the Troy location. Dr Jacobs was wonderful, but he retired. Dr Lee is very good too. I like Dr Burack, except she always seems very rushed to leave the room, so it's difficult to think of questions to ask her before she rushes out. However, she delivered my 3rd child by C-section & she was great with that. Things I don't like: 1.The NP Lisa Steigerman (?) is very unpleasant & I usually like NPs. Her personality is just very cold. I go out of my way to avoid appointments with her. 2. They supposedly go to lunch from 12:30 to 1:30, but they have a very annoying & inconvenient habit of not turning their phones back on until.. 2...2:30... whenever they feel like it. The away message just stays on telling you the office is "temporarily closed". If they don't want to answer phones after lunch, that's fine, but they should say so on their away message so that their patients' time isn't wasted. It's so irritating, I'm seriously considering switching practices. I'd rather go to urgent care than deal with the frustration of calling repeatedly with no success. It's just inconsiderate & obnoxious. read more

I have been a patient of the group for my first two pregnancies. Dr Jacobs was amazing- kind, gentle and courteous. Miss him dearly. Dr Burack is as warm as a dead cold fish. I havent had an appointment be shorter than 2 hours from arrival til leaving. 9/10th of the time spent in waiting. I had the pleasure of sitting and listen to Dr Burack socialize about her own children going to college and a trip she has planned to go to Aruba this is an hour past my scheduled appointment, as I was still waiting! I plan on leaving this review and telling anyone else about how the practice has gone downhill. Im looking for a different group to deliver this third baby! read more

I've never met a more rude group of doctors. The PA is great, but I was treated poorly by two doctors, never met the third. They always seemed too busy to answer questions, even and especially about medicines they would put me on. Also insinuated bad things about college students (which I am) as patients. Had an appointment scheduled and showed up only to be told that it was last month (which they didn't call to confirm...? Come to find out it was the moron who I spoke to on the phone who scheduled it wrong) but they could squeeze me in - I was the only patient in the whole office and the first appointment of the day, but bless them for fitting me in *sarcasm*. Definitely finding a new doctor! read more

Awful experience, rude staff. I would never recommend these people to anyone. The nurses don't listen and act annoyed when you ask questions and then don't answer the actual question. They will answer with something barely realivent like they listened to the first three words of my question and came up with an answer without even listening to my whole question. Then blurting it out with an eye roll. None of the doctors know who I am or even pretend by reading my chart they just walk in and act as if we had never met, even though I'm going through some of the most intament times of my life with them. I won't trust them with my care again. read more

This has been my Dr for the past 12 years. They delivered my babies safely and with great empathy and concern for the challenging pregnancies I faced. The nurses have been incredibly kind. They follow through with phone calls and relaying test results in a timely manner. read more

This is a terrible establishment! I switched from Planned Parenthood to this practice when I was approximately six months pregnant and it was the worst decision-- I wish I had stayed with Planned Parenthood over them. I never had a very personal touch there, which I feel you should feel at any doctor's office, let alone for your pregnancy! They always rushed me and made me feel as if I was a burden in their office, there was one nurse who I dreaded seeing and made me cry on a few occasions she was so rude and unpleasant. The wait to get into your schedule appointment is no less than an hour wait, which is ridiculous! I never saw the same doctor, it was always one of the three and none of which were on the same page about my pregnancy. I had one doctor tell me that my baby would be small (6 lbs) and the other tell me he would be big and that I have a narrow cervix. My son ended up weighing 8lbs and Dr Burack (rudest person, let alone doctor I have ever met!) made me push for 2/5 hours after I was begging for a c-section because I knew that he was just not coming out! Dr. Burack screamed at me for the whole 2.5 hours that I was pushing, she was completely rude and made my birth experience an utter disgrace. I hope that no one ever has to go through what I did with her. This was five years ago now and I am still pissed off about it. She did however do a very nice c-section, every dr who sees it compliments how good it is, but lets not forget, I almost died! read more
