Sent out their welders to reinstall- they were total professionals. They are now doing another project for me on different gate. Totally recommend. Love the honest advice they gave. I recommend using the architect he normally works with to make sure the permit and inspection process go smoothly. You do need to find someone else to lay the decking part, unless you are going with an all-metal deck. We are thrilled with how it came out. His quote was much more reasonable than other deck fabricators. I've recommended him to many friends already.

The crazy thing: range of pricing. From couple hundreds to repair the very old motors, to 10K to change the gate. Doctor Gate was someplace in between. And since they were recommended by one of the architects we are working with we gave them the job. Installation scheduled for Sunday morning. 3 installers worked almost till night welding and adjusting. Got the work done right, and even got a device that open the gate automatically when a vehicle approach the gate from the inside. They made the whole service stress free since they knew what they were doing at each part of the installation.

I told the technician Bill that I think we need a new shutter. Let me check he said. He brought a ladder and went up. Did few things, knocked on the bog cover, and I don't know how, but like magic the old shutter came back to life. It started slowly opening till it got to the top. Just some maintenance Bill told me. He brought a bucket with grease and started working. Try again he asked. I turned the key and the shutter went down. Now open again, let it wake up he said. And it did! After few attempts, the shutter started moving smooth and as if it wasnt stuck for many years. I want to thank Bill from Dr gate for not trying to charge where there shouldn't be any charge, and for making a shutter that seemed lost working again.

They serviced for us a chain link automation gate that was only working half of the time. We did try to use other contractors before them. We got answers like you need a new motor to you need a new gate. NYC iron works and welding were able to put their finger on the problem, and instead of spending couple thousands, we only paid $300 plus tax for the repair (one of the contractors was burned). I'm happy to review their services, and I can tell you now they will be my first call when I whenever I will need iron works or welding services.

I needed to add an iron mesh screen to the iron gate under my stoop stairs. First, I contacted…read moretwo guys I've used in the past. One of my direct contacts gave me a very high estimate from photos (excessive I felt) and the other said he needed to come look in person (which I felt was unnecessary since he'd worked on this same gate a few months ago), and arranging that visit took forever (he never came). So I used yelp to request some estimates. I didn't get any estimates from the yelp request (some didn't do this work, one wanted to come see it). Only Anthony G / Lindvall from LG Iron replied quite quickly with a quote. He gave me a very fair quote based on the photos and said he could do the job the next day. I had him come the day after. He did a great job, it took about 2 hours. See the attached pics. I was nervous because LG had no yelp reviews but I took a risk, and it paid off. Lindvall has definitely been doing iton work for a long time but I guess only recently started LG Iron or got on yelp. I'm putting out this detailed, positive review because Lindvall earned it and to help yelp users find an iron worker who will give you a fair estimate quickly, do the job soon, do a good job, and have a great attitude.
