We got those replaced with new and even though I had other older fillings she wasn't concerned about them in their current state and therefore didn't try and convince me to get them replaced just because they were older. As a patient it feels good to know you won't be sold a bill of goods with unnecessary procedures. I've worked with two of her hygienists and they were both great. I go in every 3-6 months for cleanings. I see for 2015 she was voted most favorite dentist in Springfield. I'm not surprised. Well deserved.

Yelp came through again!!!…read more Things don't always go as planned while in vacation. Last night while in Lexington, Kentucky at 11:30 pm my boyfriend's crown popped out. I yelped "emergency dental" and saw the post from a patient who had an emergency and was also on vacation. So, while on the road heading to Springfield, at 7:40 this morning we called Dr. Capati's after hours number and told him what happened. He said to call his staff at 8:00 and we did; they were able to squeeze in Stephen at 2:50 pm. The staff texted him a link for dental information (ie name, address, issues, etc) and by the time we arrived, everything was taken care of. He was done within 45 minutes and he said the tooth feels great. He's extremely happy and gives high praise to the staff and doctor.

I have made the call to do annual cleaning but it ended up be another "advanced" cleaning, named as: first time visit cleaning. This cleaning might be needed if you have not do your dental appt for more than 5-10 years, but for most ppl with insurance covered, we do cleaning annually, this advanced check make no sense, especially the dental trying to play the game to not mentioning specifically that they are doing a cleaning that will not be covered by insurance completely. So remember to ask clearly before they give you anything to sign!

My 83 year old mother recently had her last remaining 6 teeth pulled to progress from a partial to…read morea full set of dentures. After the extraction, she experienced a lot of discomfort and felt like there were still chunks of tooth trying to poke through her gum. She called hoping to get in before the weekend to get checked out, but they were not able or willing to squeeze her in. Then she got the time of her appt mixed up and arrived after they had closed for the day. The following day she went in first thing in the morning, prepared to sit there and wait until they could get her in, however they would not see her and made an appt for the following day. Once finally being seen, she was totally dismissed as though there was nothing wrong and nothing they could do about it. She was shocked at the total lack of compassion she received when in obvious pain and with valid concerns. She went to another oral surgeon who ended up working on her for 90 minutes and completed the procedure with 18 stitches after they corrected the problems. I do not recommend this office if you care about the fate of your loved one, because they certainly don't.
