To celebrate slurpee day on July 7th, we visited 7-Eleven for a free small slurpee. My colleagues and I visited this 7-Eleven, which is located in downtown Bellevue during the lunch hour. We expected a line, but fortunately, not many people were here for slurpee day, so we were able to get in and out. Located off of Bellevue Way, it's easy to spot with plenty of parking in the business strip it's located in. A few of the slurpees here are based off of soda, which I don't drink. But I did find lemonade slurpees, including a mango one, which I ended up getting for slurpee day. It was way too sugary to finish, but hey, it's free. The cashier was fine with us trying the different slurpees before committing to one. When he saw we all had our small slurpees, we were able to just walk out without a purchase. Easy peasy. All in all, it's a typical 7-Eleven with treats, snacks, some items you may need on the go and for convenience, with questionable hot food items. This isn't Japan, guys. You know how it is.

When I asked if there was a charge, they said yes--but that should be communicated before bagging someone's items. I came here a few times already but They really try to think you're dumb at times. I just try to play it cool like OK you're right I'm wrong. Not a huge charge, but it's about communication and respect. Just a heads up to future customers: be vigilant and ask before accepting a plastic or paper bag, because they won't tell you upfront.

Thankfully I didn't bring my kids with me because they would have been all over the little glass jars holding all the fun goodies. The service is also very friendly. I was getting real close to E, and we all know that's does not mean everlasting. And I sure didn't want to be that person causing a further backup on 520W! This location has also a mini mart and car wash tunnel adjacent to the gas pumps. There are some other businesses onsite, but all are kind of hidden by trees and shrubbery along Novelty Hill Road. Well maintained, clean, and felt safe at the pump. Regular gas was a bit more expensive at $4.70 per gallon (vs Costco or Safeway, closer to $4). However, better to be prepared than the alternative.
