I had Jackson's Kitchen cater our wedding in March of 2025. The food is delicious and affordable. The reason for my rating is the experience we had with Mike, the owner of the business. Mike has a lot of experience and could probably cater any event in his sleep, however, his "bedside manner" is lacking and put a damper on some of the wedding planning. I never believed Mike had ill intentions, but I think if he had a more positive attitude during his consultations and tastings, his business would be even bigger. I didn't feel like he fully listened to all of my ideas and was very opinionated with decisions I had made for the wedding unrelated to food. As brides, we are very stressed during wedding planning, and while I'm sure Mike was coming from a good place, it made me and my family uncomfortable with how many things he had to say about our order of events, whether we were serving alcohol or not, timeline, etc. On the wedding day, his team arrived a little later than I anticipated (not late, just not at the time we thought) and he parked front and center of the venue and didn't move his catering van after they were done unloading. We had to move our welcome signs and it was just an awkward sight for guests to arrive at the beautiful venue and then see a catering van in the entrance. There was also some tension between Mike and the mother of the groom as she was trying to remove chairs for guests who did not arrive so there weren't empty chairs in photos, and he did not let her remove them. We didn't have as many leftovers as advertised. When Mike asked me what I wanted to drink on day of wedding, I asked for water and tea and he said I needed to pick one. All of these complaints are small but they do add up and made me ultimately decide that I would not recommend this business to another bride for her wedding solely because I believe wedding vendors not only need to provide a quality product, but need to have a good attitude and positive energy. Hearing negative comments from my family after the wedding related to the catering experience made me sad since every other aspect of the wedding went perfectly! Again, the food is great and we had not one complaint about quality - I just didn't mesh well with Mike and am disappointed in the overall experience. read more

1st timer and I am a believer! They have daily lunch specials which come with a meat(entrée) plus 3 sides. Today, I chose the turkey and dressing plate, which also came with green beans and sweet potato casserole. Surprisingly, the turkey was atop a small scoop of rice, so like getting a bonus side. Everything had just the right amount of seasoning, plus you get a slice of their famous sourdough bread for $6. Their homemade sourdough is $4.99/loaf for purchase, among items like jams, pecan apple butter, relishes. Drinks are a modest $1.50 and on they have sweet/unsweetened teas, lemonade, plus the fountain ( think Pepsi products) Only con, wish the food would have been a tad hotter. Jackson's catered my son and daughter in law's wedding reception. I can not say enough good things about this business. From our tasting a year ago to the day or two after the wedding.... my experience was absolutely amazing! After researching several companies, this is one of the ones we decided to reach out to. After we went to the tasting, I cancelled the other appointments because our interaction with Mike was so positive. Over the next several months we had to tweak the order a couple of times, and he was very accommodating. He was always available to answer questions and was very prompt in returning emails or phone calls. The crew that came out and served our event was fabulous!! They knew exactly what needed to be done and went over and above what we expected of them. Our menu consisted of two types of chicken, mac & cheese, green beans almondine, glazed carrots, mashed potato and gravy and of course, their amazing sourdough bread! They even went as far as preparing my son and his bride their very own dish of banana pudding (we chose to take it off of our menu shortly before the event) as a favor to him which is his favorite dessert! They were thorough in their clean-up and did not leave one thing for us to have to take care of. As for any leftovers, which we had very little because their estimation of food servings is spot on, we chose the option of allowing them to take it to a local shelter to serve to others. I thought that was a fantastic idea and a thoughtful option for them to offer to do for us! I would recommend Jacksons for any event... formal or informal! My husband and I had the rehearsal dinner for our wedding catered by Jackson's kitchen. When we met with Mike to discuss the food he was so kind and excited to work with us. When he heard that we would have about a dozen kids attending, he got so excited. At the dinner, he had brought a small tray of mac n cheese and some ice cream for the kids and they were so happy! Get the chicken salad...it's amazing. I just tried this place after 7 years in clover and I have not been disappointed. It's def a hidden gem. You can get specials everyday...hours are Monday through Friday 11-2 for food. You can buy pies and bread and jelly and chow chow. It's just great. Def stop in and try it out read more
