The signage was very helpful and pointed me to exactly where I wanted to go. I was not sure if this was place to check out by donation or for a cost, but was excited to see that it was free of charge. It's a quick stop off and you can totally check it out spur of the moment like me if you are on your way to or from something else. This is located in an alley near Hoyt and Hewitt, kind of close to Cafe Wylde. Its not incredibly large, but there is a lot to check out in a small space. I am a lover of unusual food products and this was right up my alley, haha. There were many cool things to check out, I could certainly have spent more time but was on my way elsewhere. The person behind it all was very nice and shared how this place came to be. I even got some tips on how to find my own unique foods in the future. Best of all he had a few unique products for sale and I came away with some fun treats to try later, including a hot tamale bath product. He reported that he plans to continue to stock a few unique products to sell, so I will definitely be back to check this out in the future. Stop by if you are in the area.

I guess they recently remodeled, we tried a few times before we managed to catch them open and ready for business. Plenty of easy parking out front. Not too hot inside on a warm day. There were some samosas for sale on the counter. It has a separate seating area and some things for grocery type things and household items for sale around the edges. On the day we visited we were the only diners, but lots of people came in to use the store part. We both ordered the vegetarian combo. It was large and filling. It came with a beet section, which is something I have not experienced at other Ethiopian restaurants. My favorite part was a dark brownish item, but unfortunately I do not know what it is called. I also really enjoyed the salad section. I am not aware of other Ethiopian places in the area and the person behind the counter let me know that many people come from northern cities to dine here. It's nice to have this in the area. I know many people that are curious about Ethiopian food and it is nice to have a place closer to take them to experience it. Glad to have found this hidden gem.

This was acceptable, but nothing special, lacking that warm spicy yumminess, and to be honest, the portion was quite small, with no salad, even though salad is on the menu as part of the combo. I'm not likely to eat there again.

CHECK SELL BY DATES ON EVERYTHING YOU BUY THEY SELL MULTIPLE MONTH OLD CHEESES, MILK, EVEN SALSA…read more Mole rat looking manager tried to be pissy with me and my significant other because we pulled our 1 year old baby, our 5 year old daughter, and our 6 year old son out of the way of some random person stealing cases of beer as we entered the store. Bro can get it at anytime EDIT: and this is also another occasion where I have bought bad food from this Safeway. Multiple months old, just opened. Fuck Safeway the regional manager needs to get involved at this point. Close this location down like Kroger is closing other locations because health standards, theft, and support from the state aren't being met!

She leaves with the guy following her from a distance to make sure that she leaves the property while she is screaming profanities at the customers that were already pumping gas and the guy kicking her out. This all created a wildly unwelcome environment for customers to feel safe getting gas at SAFEway!! I'd HIGHLY advise come here during the day where there's not so much drug activities.
