Service is horrible. Stacks people in like cordwood. Damaged…read moremy eyes, and I had told him NO. Found out later he had severely damaged the eyes of three people I know. One was a man who was blinded. Two thrumbs Down. Too bad there isn't a MINUS stars rating.

I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but my experience here kinda sucked to be honest. I am…read moreso glad I got up and walked out whenever I did. I would not trust anyone there around my eyes. It started out like this: My appointment was as 8:30: I arrived at 8:15. My first impression of the overall building/atmosphere was small, outdated and unorganized. At 8:15 there was already 4+ people in the tiny waiting room. I waited about 45 minutes in the waiting room. I found this odd because my appointment was so early in the day I figured I wouldn't have a very long wait. Finally, after what felt like forever, a tech calls my name and I am placed in an exam room. The room was cluttered and was not clean. All of the equipment was outdated. The tech checked my eye pressure with a machine that was taped in certain spots because it had appeared to be broken before. My eye pressure readings were extremely high, but the tech assured me that these machines mess up all of the time so don't worry. She got another device and re-tested me and everything was fine. Then she went outside to ask another one of the techs if we were going to dialate my eyes, and she said no, there probably is not any reason to do so. After my small exam, the tech led me to ANOTHER waiting room called The Dilating Room. (this is pretty common at eye doctors i came to find out) But oh my gosh this was like a 6x6 room..so tiny I started to feel claustrophobic. And of course there were literally 6 people in this tiny room. When I sat down to join the group of sardines, I listened to everyone talk about how long they have been there. One gentlemen said he had been waiting in the dilation room since 8:15 (at this point it is 10am). At this point I start to get nervous because I only had my babysitter for a couple hours. I called my mother (she was the one who was watching my daughter) My mom informed me that the place I was at did not have a good reputation to begin with. She told me a story about how Dr. Jackson accidentally messed up on one of our friends eyes. This was enough to get me to walk out right there. As soon as I got into my car, I made an appointment with another local eye center for the following day. When I went to the other eye center the next day, I felt like I could now write an accurate review on Jackson Vision and Laser Center, comparing it to the "other" eye place. The things the "other" eye center did/had differently: 1. Better parking 2. Bigger waiting area/dilation waiting room 3. I got called back within 1 minute of waiting. 4. Patient forms can be filled out before hand on the computer. 5. There is more than one doctor. and it seems like over-scheduling patients at this place is less of an issue. 6. The inside was way more well kept and maintained and modern. 7. it looks like they had a better glasses selection 8. The techs do less with you, and the doctor does more. I really liked how the doctor was the only one who touched my eyes. At the other location the tech, like I said she measured the pressure of my eyes, which was OK with me but now that I think about it, I feel like the doctor should be the only one that really touches your eye, especially when dealing with a machine that touches directly on your cornea 9. at this location The doctor said he wanted to fully dilate my eyes and the doctor gave me three separate Eye exams just to make sure he was giving me the right diagnosis and he took extra care with me. I was kind of surprised when he said he was definitely going to dilate my eyes because the day before at Jackson vision and laser center they said there was no reason to dilate my eyes whatsoever.... good thing I decided to dilate my eyes because I had a pretty serious problem going on. I felt like if I would've stayed waiting at Jackson vision and laser center I would've gotten the wrong diagnostic, although I can't be all of the way sure because I never met Dr. Jackson or gave him a chance to look at my eyes. 10. just the overall basic eye exam was WAYYYY more detailed. the tech did like 5 or more additional eye tests that weren't done at jackson vision.

I had an issue with one of my eyes and Dr. Kim treated me several weeks ago. He was thorough and…read morecommunicated very good with me. He asked to see me again in about a month so an appointment was made upon my departure. During my time at the facility I felt as if I was a number and not a person and was being herded through along with many others. I was a captured client. (I also now accept this to be a normal part of my medical treatment.) Upon leaving I explained to the appointment person that I could not make an appointment during September through the first of October. A timely date to return to see Dr. Kim could not be accomplished without modifying my schedule by a week which I did. An appointment was scheduled for Sept. 4, 2019. Today I received, on my answering machine, a message which a female voice said this is Taylor from Dr. Kims office "We are going to have to move your appointment to Sept. 18 @ 10:10."...... That was the extent of the message. She did ask me if this was OK nor was a call back number offered and I felt they had no concern for my schedule. I attempted to call the office back and did in fact communicate to the appointment clerk that I had received a message on my answering machine to the effect that my scheduled appointment had been changed without my input. Without offering or requesting what could she do to help she read off another appointment date which was not satisfactory to me. I questioned further their need to change my original date and the explanation was Dr Kim needed to clear up some appointment time on that date. At this point I am frustrated as she doesn't seem to care about my needs and only Dr. Kims. As I was attempting to ask for other options she stated "I'm going to put you on hold." That was it! Conversation was over! It was a slick way of hanging up on me. Ive been around a while. At one time I (and others) considered my personal time very valuable. I still feel it is. I have noticed that working people, especially people behind the counter, don't give a hoot about me nor my time. They are after the numbers. I'm just a number and I pay good. I wish these people could take a course in what it is to respect others. I suppose I will never return to see Dr. Kim now.

A young lady took me back promptly and did preliminary work and dilated my pupils by 3:30. Somehow the doctor must have gotten far off schedule because at 4:45 I went to front desk and explained I must leave for other business and would like a phone call the next day to reschedule. Never got a call, so I called today May 31st to reschedule. June 20th earliest date available to see my doctor, and other doctors would be longer wait. Guess doctor is on a 3 week vacation. Nope I didn't make the appointment, guess it's time to find a doctor or his associates who care. 65 years old and tired of poor customer service which I'm seeing more and more of. Thought a persons eyes were important to life. Guess I thought wrong. Very sad and disappointed
