This antiques mall is fabulous! It's HUGE - over 10,000 square feet and two levels of labyrinthine rooms full of every kind of vintage and antique treasure you can think of: furniture, housewares, knickknacks, decorative items and artwork, hardware, accent pieces, accessories, clothing, jewelry... You name it, and they've probably got it. The space is made up of "booths" which are designated areas for individual sellers who bring in items to be sold. Different booths offer different styling motifs or themes, and some are just plain-old hodgepodge. We even spotted some kooky items like vintage Ouija boards, old Scrabble letters, and jars and jars of old buttons. They even had a selection of seasonally themed items - and vintage/primitive Halloween decorations are my favorite! Everything is very clean and neatly displayed - no dust or dirt in this shop! There's plenty of room to weave around between items without fear of knocking something over, which a klutz like me always appreciates... Everything is very professionally presented, and the employees are friendly, informational, and very helpful. Prices vary from low to pretty pricey, but everything is priced very fairly. We easily spent two hours wandering around and seeing all they have to offer. If you know anybody who's a fan of vintage, nostalgia, or who's even a collector of certain items, you'll find a gift for them here! Oh wow! I could spend all day here walking around and looking at all the cool stuff. I have a few very small collections of antiques like bathroom and kitchen products and brownie cameras. I found items for both collections at decent prices. Each vendor (actual vendor not present) has a small area in which their typically themed items for sale are cutely displayed (although it can all seem overwhelming and slightly cluttered). You can take all items at once from different vendors to the front for payment where they give you a detailed receipt and neatly package your finds. You;'ll find everything - records, books, toys, clothing, furniture, household items, collectibles and useable goods and even some brand spankin' new items spattered in. read more

This place is large and well organized. They were having a sidewalk sale outside, which was nice since it was beautiful outside. The vendors were all friendly and so was the inside staff. That being said, we had some $$ burning a hole in our pocket and couldn't find anything to buy. So much shabby chic / vintage, but no true antiques except for a couple of things. I DID like many of the shabby / rustic / etc items but wasn't really floored by the 'finds' to be found. We went down the street to the mall on 31st East of LaGrange and bought a few things right after. I'll be back to check it out again. read more

Even though they do mix a few new things with old... this mall still is the best antique mall in the area. There's NO junk here. Also, that tall blonde with the bad attitude has been long gone and the people that work behind the counter are always super friendly and helpful. One of my favorite things to do in La Grange is peruse through this store...it's always an adventure. It's huge, and there are so many random things from the past. I would recommend to anyone interested in antiques and vintage stuff. The prices are all over the place. It was my first visit and I was impressed with it's size and number of vendors. I was greeted as soon as I entered the shop and asked if I had anything in particular I was looking for. I look for antique typewriters to restore and found at least six and purchased one of them. Of course I like to find great price bargains, but overall I thought their pricing was in line with other shops. I plan on returning periodically to check out new merchandise. read more

Mercy the gals running the reception desk have their SNOT on! It is a glorified junk store and you'd think they were members of the peerage, sitting there eating chocolate donuts right in front of the customers and yacking it up. Well la-dee-da! Can you say unprofessional, ladies??? Two stars for the sheer volume of stuff. You'll need to visit every so often as new junk arrives; but that is the fun of 'antique' shopping. Just be prepared for the pseudo-superior attitude at the desk. On second thought, could I have committed a faux pas? Perhaps the Duchess of Jackson Square and her little Eliza Dolittle sidekick were expecting me to curtsy? But of course! Tant pis pour elles. read more

What a great place. I stopped there after reading the POSITIVE reviews. There is always some other shop trashing the place or the workers. Anyway. Enjoyed a simple walk around without that over my should "can I help you" 50 times in some places. Neat stuff well organized, especially loved the 210 merchandise. Glorious shabby stuff. I want this dealer to do my whole house. Repurposed lovely items, can't believe the old sewing table turned desk so sweet. So check it out yourself and remember this. Seeing is believing. I've visited here several times now; it's the only "mall" in the suburbs that I've found yet. I usually always go looking for something particular. It never seem to find exactly that. Perhaps I need to keep an open mind though. Staff are generally friendly; one person actually followed us the last time I was there which felt quite odd. If I could give this place 10,000 stars, I would. I visit Jackson Square Mall at least once a month. The employees are kind and incredibly helpful (even when they're busy!), they have regular customer appreciation/seasonal events, and every single era is represented. I have been coming here for quite a few years now. They have a large selection and the merchandise seems to change with the season. They have about 50 dealers. There is this table that I have had my eye on for the last 5 years. They want 400 bucks for it. But I figure that it's been there so long that as soon as the sun completely fades the tag. Mind you this is the first antique mall I've ever been to, but wow so much great stuff! And it's huge. Doesn't seem like it at first, but it goes on and on. Prices range from inexpensive to over-priced. There are a bunch of different vendors, so it depends on the vendor how much things will cost. I got a bunch of great purchases. You can truly spend hours and hours in here. There are two whole floors packed with items. Some things are in glass cases that you have to ask to be opened, but alot of the cases are already opened. Thing was, I wanted so many things and there are no baskets or carts or anything. So after I had a couple items in my hands, I asked for the woman at the counter to hold them for me. I love this place. Yes, it's a bit stuffed with stuff and yes, it's maze-like but there are some beautiful pieces here at some great prices. There's an upstairs and a basement and you could spend a good hour or two just wandering. The ladies who work here are really friendly and more than willing to answer questions or help you in any way they can. On my last visit here, I found a large china cabinet at a great price but had no way to transport it to my home. The lady there offered to hook me up with someone who might deliver it for me which I thought was very nice. They have a loading dock in the back which makes for easy pick up. One of the best antique shops in the western burbs. I find there is a wide variety of antique and vintage items. This store does not have booths that look like garage sales. There are some items that are not really old, (one seller has new jewelry as well as vintage ).But as long as there is not too much in the way of newer items or crafty things, I do not mind. The prices do not leave me with sticker shock. The people who work at the front desk are friendly and helpful. One of my favorite places to shop! The place is very well organized. I was able to find something I liked (I collect beer signs and related) almost immediately. Every vendor sets up their stalls very well, and there's not a lot of "crap" here. There was quite a bit of reproduction antiques that I noticed though, one star off for that. I LOVE THIS PLACE! It is so freaking huge that it is overwhelming. I spent hours in here a couple weeks ago, and by the time I got to the downstairs I was on overload. A lot of these places are dumpy, but not this place. Two full (and I do mean, FULL) floors. Some of it's overpriced, but each seller/booth sets the prices, and that goes with second-hand/vintage territory. There's a pretty decent selection of bakelite in the jewelry cases on the main floor. I went back for the Christmas event weekend and found that Christmas came early not only for the antique mall's event but for me! In the past, the issue with this mall was the one staff person (see my past reviews) Caroline. To my surprise, when I went into the mall, I didn't see her as I was walking around. When I asked the staff working, I found out that she is no longer working at the antique mall. YES!!!! Now customers no longer have to deal with the nasty, rude comments or treatment from her. I will be back more often now! The rest of the staff is fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful. his mall has returned as my favorite in the area. The prices are reasonable with a large assortment of items for everyone. Plus...the current staff is FANTASTIC! I was welcomed warmly at the door, helped several times while shopping and even though the checkout was busy due to the event, the staff was friendly and moved along quickly. It was a great experience. If you haven't been here, it's a must visit!!! read more
