One word ASTOUNDING!…read more In 2012 we moved out of San Diego and needed to sell our home quickly, but because of the housing market at that time we were unsuccessful and disappointed with our experience. Two years later we reluctantly looked online to find a realtor that would be patient, informative and diligently to work on our behalf. With a quick search and one phone call our life was changed. Since that day Jay Burneo met all of our requirements. Since we live in Florida it was important for me to know what was happening at all times. Never once did feel abandon or neglected. He constantly kept me abreast of the progress with multiple offers and various other indicators that suggested we were his top priority. To my surprise, we started the process in 2014 and I received three offers with four weeks of signing a contract with Jay, and two months later our home was sold. We recommend Jay to anyone. It was a pleasure working with him!. Not only did he sold our house, but we feel as if we now have a great new friend.

I had used this company once before, and while my experience then wasn't perfect (the dude hit on…read moremy wife) - it was fine for what it was while we lived outside of the area for a few years. So, recently, I engaged their services to rent out my condo. They were fine until it started showing. I have a tenant in the second bedroom who asked for no one to go into her room (opening the door counts). At the very first showing, someone opened the door to her room. I have a text record between the owner of this - we'll call it a company - saying which room was ok and which wasn't. When I confronted Lynn about it, she blamed the tenant and attempted to get information about her ability to lock the door. Lock the door? DON'T OPEN THE DAMN DOOR like I asked AND YOU AGREED TO! There - no need to lock it. The only good thing to come of it was the offender was willing to sever the agreement early. Considering I had cause to sever the agreement, it's really not that much of a plus that said offender, Lynn, was willing to do so. In summary, if you don't want someone that is immediately willing to trample right over your boundaries like a stampeding herd of elephants - find another property management company.

The business has since been handed over to ... highly incompetent individuals. Not only did they, on several occasions, become highly confrontational with me, the home owner, they also flat out called me a liar, contributed to renters vandalization / destruction of property and over charged me in several areas by creating unnecessary maintenance bills. The last straw though was several months after I fired them, when I received a stop notice from my bank on a refund check the company issued me. The check was declined, I was charged a stop fee and the money was taken out of my account by my bank to cover La Costa Homes ridiculous accounting shenanigans. I would never recommend this company with the current managing staff.

My son lived in a roach-infested property for over six months, and despite submitting more than a dozen maintenance requests, the issue was never properly resolved. To make matters worse, we consistently paid about $115 per month for water, but the final bill was nearly $500 -- even though my son was no longer living in the unit due to the roach infestation. The lack of responsiveness, accountability, and honesty was extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, I would not recommend renting from this company.
