It's really hard to find GREAT & HONEST hardworking people! True blessing for me and my wife. On our 15 yr Anniversary and first time into Jackson Hole my wife's purse strap the stitching broke. That's when we found Mike and his mom. They took my wife's purse right then sowed it up in less than 10 minutes. Mike thank you and thanks for the fire extinguisher on a hand shake this man had an old fire extinguisher just sitting there totally not what I thought I would find in a leather and shoe repair store. I took a pair of sheepskin boots in for patching. The workmanship hasn't been tested yet, but looks like a solid job. The service was less than what I would've expected and I thought for sure I'd never get these boots back and they are a treasure. Always want to support local tradesmen but I encourage then to be a little more thorough on checking messages and keeping track of folks' shoes. read more

Bill's shop is the best in the town of Jackson. He was able to figure out what was wrong with my boots and made a modification easily and professionally. I seriously regret taking my shoes here. They did a reasonable job, but the price was ridiculous. When I questioned it the owner told me I'd pay more elsewhere, which I know from having done the research is a lie. This place embodies the way some Jackson business just don't care about their customers because they don't have to. This repair shop promises items but when you arrive to pick up they have not started on your repair. I was told to come back in one hour and they would get my repair finished, when I returned I was told they could not repair my broken zipper as they did not have the correct size of a zipper. If they had started on the repair two weeks prior it would not have been a problem. I was treated rudely by the owner and his wife who yelled obscene words at me while flashing her tongue ring at me the whole time. She even grabbed my repair and tried to not give it to me. I have been to this shop several times before but for some reason this couple decided to have no class and no customer service. Sadly, Bill sold the shop. More sadly to really terrible folks with the worst customer service. They overcharge for one and, second, the help is awful. I asked to have my boots re-sewn and they added some patch to cover a little hole without asking. When I got there the pair was no longer a pair, I was pretty upset and the owner was just simply nasty and took no responsibility to simply fix the boot. She then charged me to match the patch on the other boot! To fix her own mistake.... Super terrible service, not to mention, my boots look like crap. All told it was 40 bucks to fix a $12 pair of boots. Bummer. read more

Bill Dillon recently made me a leather wallet. This wallet was a replacement and has been very hard to find in stores across the US. He was recommended as someone who could design and make one from scratch. Bill laid the pattern out from the original, cut the leather and stitched it together. I am very pleased to the extent that I have searched high and low for someone to do what he did however his workmanship seems hurried. The edges were not buffed as smooth as I thought they would be and it was single stitched. The pattern looks crooked but overall it's fiunctional and I now have a replacement. Part of this may have been my fault because of my excitement in finding him and the fact that I did not get specific with instructions. I left it up to him so I can live with it. The cost was very fair. read more
