With little room for error on this type of flooring, I appreciated his clear approach -- there's no "undo" button with refinishing! Dave also has tools I've never seen before -- it felt like he had a gadget for every challenge that came up. Plus, he's been doing this for years, so he knows how different stains and woods react. He provided a consultation for my indoor floors, but then I had him also look at my garage floor and he said he was able to do the work I was looking for, which is what I will be reviewing here today. I had a few cracks in my garage floor and was looking to Epoxy it to protect it for the winter. Dave explained to me his process and how it differs from the competition which helps keep his cost low. The best part about Dave was that he stuck to the quote he gave me, with no surprises or additional ask for money, and he started when he said he would, got the job done quick, and finished when he said he would - anyone who has worked with contractors before knows this is a rarity! Dave was respectful and treated the place with care, and I would recommend his work to others. We think the garage looks great! It's hard to distinguish between the new and old concrete. The design and layout matches so well, it feels it's always been there. He responded quickly and was overall excellent with communication. He had great recommendations for the project. He worked into the evening some days, did exactly what he said he would and when. He and his crew worked so hard and were so efficient this summer, the whole job was done within a week including the coloring sealing. The amount of dirt they removed to get the forms laid and ready should have taken days if not weeks alone. We were very happy with the process, price, and final project. We enjoyed working with Troy so much and were so happy with what he did, we asked him back to seal our garage floor. I just want to start off by saying our experience with Pietsch Builders was nothing like the other…read morereview posted here. My wife and I built with Doug in late 2017. The whole planning process was very well scheduled, professional and easy. Working with Doug, Karla, Jon and Kristina through the planning process was really nice. They were very knowledgeable and fun to work with. Many of our friends who had built with other builders like Keyland, DR Horton, Country Joe and Lennar warned us that the process is very frustrating, it will likely take longer than you think and you should plan to spend about 10-15% more than what you initially budgeted (due to upgrades and issues/changes that come up during construction). My wife and I were prepared for the worst but I actually really enjoyed the whole process. Doug, Karla, Kristina and Jon were in constant contact with us throughout the build, providing updates on progress and timelines. They were very professional. We were able to save a little money by providing a lot of our own selections (faucets, light fixtures, toilets, sinks - that kind of thing) that we purchased from Menards, Lowes or Home Depot. When construction was coming to a close Jon kept us updated almost on a daily basis. When we did the final walk through Jon helped identify any problem areas that needed to be touched up: paint, tile, flooring etc. There were no complaints about how picky we were being, in fact I think Jon was probably more picky than I was in identifying flaws and having them fixed immediately. In the end the house came out looking beautiful! My wife and I couldn't be happier. The craftsmanship of the contractors they select is impressive! Of the other model homes we toured the Pietsch homes were by far the best. Their attention to detail surpasses all of the other builders we visited. We built the home we plan to live in for the next 30 years so I likely won't get to build another Pietsch home but I am recommending them to all of my friends that are interested in building.
